Situated in the heart of the Overberg town of Caledon, a one hour drive from Cape Town, is the beautiful Athenian Villa Bed 'n Breakfast. The building is the historic Good Hope Building, dating from 1929 and the theme is drawn from the Greek Isles. Owners Peter and Carol welcome you in true Greek style. Set in a side lane, off the main road, one can lose sight of the little town of Caledon, and imagine oneself in Mykonos or Santorini, the setting is so authentic.

Swartberg Guest House is situated in the Overberg, in Caledon's historical Mill Street. The guest house is named after the small Swartberg mountain range which runs adjacent to the town and after which the town was originally named. Caledon is centrally situated in the Overberg which makes it the ideal base from which to explore this interesting region. It also makes it a convenient stop-over on the way to the Garden Route from Cape Town International Airport.
Superb convenience and value
Reviewed By jrouss468479There are a number of rooms on the property, which might of course vary in size and features. My room was comfortable, and myself and partner had a very restful and quiet night, even though there were people having outdoor drinks quite nearby. The value is superb if you need somewhere to stay near the spa/casino, and the convenience is a highlight: all the room keys are in passcode-locked wall safes, so you could in theory arrive at any time, with no need for someone to be there to check you in.

Every room is luxurious and beautifully decorated by the owners with lovely ornaments and artwork everywhere. Our bridal party stayed for a weekend and all agreed it was the loveliest place, very private and relaxing, and that the staff were great

Come and enjoy the hospitality at our Self catering accommodation or visit the Spa with its natural hot water springs. Visit the Casino. Wake up and smell the fresh country air or walk through the Botanical gardens.

Room in the Secret Garden
Reviewed By Roxzan M35 on Basil is a tastefully decorated retreat, hidden within a beautiful lush garden. Really lovely location (we attended a fabulous wedding at Die Woud). Cornel was the perfect hostess and absolutely accommodating. My only suggestion would perhaps be electric blankets instead of hot water bottles, and a mattress topper to connect the two single beds into a king, We had a really wonderful stay and would certainly recommend!
