Reviewed By 263astridwThis place is evidently well managed, the staff is great, the food is good, everything is clean, the cabins are nice, they have a fan, just in case, but you don’t really need it. The bathroom has water all day, electricity is limited but through the night. It has a nice view, and you can rest and relax there.

La habitación es muy cómoda: cuenta con baño privado, cama confortable, servicio de electricidad, agua potable, es muy muy limpio. La atención es inmejorable y la comida es deliciosa. Es un sitio muy seguro, lo cual es muy importante cuando se viaja solo. La amabilidad de sus propietarias y su excelente disposición es algo que merece la pena destacar (hasta aprendí un poquito de wayuunaiki). Volveré!

Reviewed By morairaThe town of Cabo de la Vela is a god forsaken hamlet of shacks strung out along the beach. Although the beach is not wonderful, and suffers from rather toxic jelly fish, the main sport here is kite surfing. Although there are markers to define the kite surfers limits, they ignore them, and swimming was dangerous as they thundered by within a few metres of the shore. Do not bank on getting a safe swim! You would only come here if you were en-route to Punta Gallinas, or if you were kite surfing. We were heading to Punta Gallinas, so had one nights stop here on the way, and another a couple of nights later on the way back. So we experienced one hut at the front, and one at the back - I would advise anyone to ask for a hut at the back, you did at least get a more open (but not in any way scenic) view from the back huts The staff are certainly not friendly (but that may just be their normal attitude). The meals are truly appalling . The generator runs very Catholic hours, and hence there is no water much of the time in the bathrooms - this is a bit daft, as you can easily leave a tap open and it will run for an hour or more if you are not in the hut. We asked for a towel, and it was as if we had made an indecent suggestion. Though we eventually got one, and it was a proper hotel towel with their name on it, so they do have towels. The hut did not have either a chair nor a hammock. We eventually procured both but again with the reaction of it being an unreasonable request. There was a large Venezuelan group staying there the same night, who got up at 5am, and make one heck of a lot of noise. Be warned If you want to see Punta Gallinas, then you probably need to stop at least one night in Cabo de la Vela. I have no idea whether any ot the other accommodations here are any better, certainly, on cursory inspection from the outside, they looked even seedier

Kiteschool and Hostel situated directly at the beach - calm and save. You will encounter a nice Bar and a Restaurant with breakfast, lunch oder dinner. Also a public kitchen for our guests is available. Private Cabanas with bed or Shared Cabanas with Chinchorros or hamocks are available.

Located a bit further down from the village which is Good for sleeping, Many partes at the village at night...Jorge makes sure that everyone enjoy their stay! Good and affordable kite surf lessons. They are dedicated to make you stand on thr board asap. Good new equipment to rent and an excellent setting for kite with constant good wind. I was suppose to stay for 2 days and stayed for a week...and I will return for sure.

Pargo Dorado, offers accommodation in private rooms with bathroom and rooms with shared bathroom. The hostal offer accommodation in single, doble, triple. quadruple and family rooms. Excellent location in front of the sea. Our Restaurant offers local and latinoamerican food.

Reviewed By MRjupariQué lugar tan desastrozo. No sé cómo caí ahi por Despegar.com pèro se nota que no conocen lo que recomiendan. La recepción es una tienda de abarrotes con una cama desordenada al lado donde alguien duerme. No había luz cuando fui porque dijeron se les dañó la planta. Paree más un motel de camino que un lugar para dormir una noche entera.
