Byron Bay's beaches are dotted with lighthouses and surrounded by bottlenose dolphins, rays, whales and sea turtles. This former New South Wales whaling station turned tourist town is still strongly influenced by its recent bohemian past, when hippie lifestyles flourished. Bongos and didgeridoos sound in parks, sarongs and dreadlocks are common, and vegetarian restaurants abound. Give in to the casual vibe and stroll between beaches and bars for a low-key and happy day.

We stayed here for Christmas and loved it. Setting is idyllic, short walk to a very private beach and the facilities in hotel are great, with a really good pool. We stayed in a room about 5 mins walk from the main hotel and it was very peaceful and the room itsel GB was gorgeous. About a 5 minute drive into town. Highly recommend

Byron Bay's most private beachfront luxury accommodation. The best of Byron with light filled and spacious rooms, quality furniture and fittings. Two and three bedroom penthouse apartments with their own rooftop pool, Studio style rooms in a garden setting or Beachfront studios with their own private plunge pool and private front gates for direct beach access. A beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Byron Bay.
We stayed in the beachfront suite with pool. Very convenient location. The outdoor area was so warm even in June with the sun shining down. The room was neat and spacious. There were delicious treats available and free newspaper daily. Very friendly and helpful staff. My pet loved his stay too and the complimentary Byron dog treats! The three of us will be back again!

Very quiet and secluded retreat 5-7 minutes from Byron by car. The grounds and hot tubs are wonderful and the staff (Marcella) was lovely. The room whilst very comfortable was smaller than expected and the bathroom was only ok. The food hampers are over the top ($100 min for continental breakfast) and there were no amenities in the room to make your own food. My wife and I both had massages which were FANTASTIC. All in all, this retreat could be improved but we did enjoy our stay.

They only reply to get your business but won’t reply to refund you. I had to cancel due to flooding and made sure the booking policy would refund me. Terrible customer service, and after reading the reviews on here I’m not the only one waiting for a refund.

Having not been to Byron since 2006, I came for a night with a friend. We didn't want to be spending in to the 100s for a room we would only sleep in. We opted for the Cape Byron YHA. For $70, we got a twin room with a double and a bunk. The room was pretty bare, no TV - But it had a clothes hang/store area / mirror / enough plugs for the 2 of us. The bed was comfy and the covers were clean and warm (you have to strip the bed upon check out). There were 3 or 4 showers in the block on our floor, same for toilets - you needed the swipe card to get in - again clean, warm. The kitchen area was large - this grossed me out a little - but it's been a long time since I backpacked Oz and needed to cook for myself in such. The pans were old and pretty grubby. You had to get your plates etc from reception - but we had ours with us. The tea towels were rank - I wouldn't use. The worst however was a bloke in the kitchen coughing all over the place - not the hostels fault, but nasty nonetheless. Needless to say, we didn't go sit and eat by him - we ate on our balcony which had a table and 2 chairs. During COVID-times and no flights coming in to Oz, this hostel serviced a range of ages - I am 40 and there were people older than me there. I found the hostel more like a motel. Good location and good wifi.
