High quality village
Reviewed By OttoI28We spent 4 nigths at San Canzian Village very recently and were very satisfied with all the amenities of this ressort: stylish room, excellent breakfast, stylish spa area (due to April we did not use the outdoor swimming pool understandably), very friendly and attentive staff. We found it attractive that this place is not at the coast as this gives you a very nice retreat into the tranquility of the Istrian hinterland. After sightseeing at the points of interest at the coast, we found it always nice to return to the calmness of San Canzian Village. It should be mentioned though that eating in the restaurant and having drinks at the bar is unnecessarily on the higher end of the price spectrum as one is already paying considerably for the other amenities.

Reviewed By debbiehQ710SDSan Servolo is a resort that combines camping (fancy camping) facilities and a bed and breakfast with a resort feel. It is divided into two sections with different options whether you are camping, prefer a "mobile home" experience (more like a tiny house with an outdoor jacuzzi!), or the traditional hotel room. We opted for the hotel room. They have two buildings for that. One is located in the same as their spa (so pool and saunas in same building) and the other is a walk across the parking lot. Plentiful parking and our room was quite large. No impressive view for us (just the brewery:),but lots of space and comfy bed with a tv that worked. The pool (indoor) was warm and quite nice with lots of space around to lounge. Sauna was great. Light in the steam room was broken so didn't get to experience that. My husband tried their famous beer bath and raved about how amazing he felt and how smooth his skin was for days after! (That is a bit pricey though, but it's a splurge on yourself). Two restaurants there - the steak one is expensive, but portion sizes are MASSIVE and quality is quite good. Great wine list and the biggest, fanciest gin and tonic I've ever had. Oh and a beautiful view of the hill town nearby - I think that was Buje,as well as of the sea. The pizzeria is located over in the camping section (which also has an outdoor pool, fitness studio and outdoor jacuzzi) and the pizza was not bad. Yes, not super cheap, but not a wallet breaker. Yes, there are ants around - we saw them near the pool and some in the bedroom, but it still was clean - just a warmer, more humid environment where it can be harder to keep them out. Nothing crazy.

Hidden Gem
Reviewed By kaitho6Antonella is a gracious host. Had two dinners there while on a walking holiday. Dinners were 3-courses including one of the best risottos I've ever had. What a special treat to have wine and snacks waiting for us after we returned from our 14km walk. A definite 5 stars.

Reviewed By banestcaAs a premise I would like to say that the entire staff was very professional, courteous, and very helpful. The Hotel is clean even though I don't like the baroque style hotels in general. As far as the casino, which was the reason of my trip, I can say that my expectations have been disappointed. I have been to different casinos in North America and Europe and I notice that here machines' payout is very low. Obviously if you are gamblibg you know you will end up loosing some money, but here it's just ridiculous. My advice is to go there just for the Hotel and stay away from the Casino.

Reviewed By Philomena CWe stayed here 2 nights, Maurice was very welcoming and was a great cook. We loved the fish dishes in particular. The room was large, the bed linen could benefit from an upgrade, and we really enjoyed the breakfast.
