Nice little find

Lovely little seaside hotel, great position for the beach. Our room was spacious and had a large balcony with views over the RNLI and the beach. The hotel staff were all so helpful and friendly. Don't let the picture of the road outside the front of the hotel put you off - its a no outlet road and not at all busy.

Falcon Hotel Bude

Overlooking the historic Bude Canal, with lovely walled gardens and just a short walk to the beaches and shops, the Falcon Hotel has a most attractive location. Established in 1798, it still retains that charm and atmosphere. The bedrooms are very well appointed, with smart TV's and Free WiFi for guests. The hotel has an excellent local reputation for the quality of food, both in the Coachman’s Bar and Breakwater Brasserie.

Disappointed

Reviewed By markdZ1596DT

We went back to the falcon hotel again only to find a different hotel than previously it seems that they only cater for large gatherings and residents are no longer a priority, the staff seem unhappy and there didn’t seem to be a lot of them one morning some residents were waiting for an hour for breakfast . We came back to the hotel one day and asked about afternoon tea only to be told that they were expecting a large party of rugby players so we would not be able to have it I would hope that when you pay good money for accommodation that you would be able to access the hotel services

Excellent B&B and superb hosts

Reviewed By Maria N

We had an excellent stay at Links Side over the Easter weekend, it was our first time in Bude. The guesthouse is superbly located on the edge of town and close to all amenities but with lovely views across the golf course to the coast. Parking was easy and we managed to park for free all weekend, through a mix of parking a short walk away in the daytime and overnight outside the B&B. The hosts are superbly friendly and so accommodating, we felt extremely well looked after. The breakfasts were also excellent quality with a very efficient service. Our room was spacious, had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Overall we had a lovely break and will certainly look forward to staying at Links Side again when we return to Bude. Thankyou.

The Tree Inn is a former Manor House, parts of which date back to the 13th Century. It is situated in the historic market town of Stratton, 1.2 miles from Bude and the North Cornwall coast. The Grade II buildings encircle a courtyard full of flowers and character. One of Cornwall's oldest and most treasured pubs has recently been sensitively refurbished offering 6 rooms at the Inn. A new team of chefs prepare from local seasonal produce. There is street parking but also a free large car park only 2 minutes walk away: for sat nav EX23 9DS. We welcome walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists and offer secure parking/storage in our courtyard and barn. There is a fully equiped guest kitchen you are welcome to use during your stay. Would highly recommended

My mum and I are only staying one night here but oh my goodness…. this place is amazing! I booked the room through a different website but their rating was really high and it’s clear to see why! The room is spotless, everything has been thought about and provided for if you want to bring a takeaway in, ready-meal (has a microwave in our room!) or eat out locally! I got an email immediately after booking from the owner recommending places to visit nearby and places to eat. I asked a question which was answered almost straight away! Very friendly, not in your face but enough to make you feel welcome and to know that if there was anything you needed you would only have to ask. If I come to this area again I will certainly be looking to come back and stay here. Thanks to the owners for making this part of our week special :-)

Widemouth Manor

Ideally situated on the beautiful North Cornwall Coast, The Widemouth Manor Hotel is set within its own gardens, and stands high up near the cliffs that overlook Widemouth Bay near Bude. The impressive manor, acquired in June 2015 is now a family run hotel. The hotel is decorated in cool shades of blue, reflecting its close proximity to the beaches of Widemouth Bay. Refurbishment has begun on the hotel grounds providing a panoramic glass fronted view looking over Widemouth Bay and the ocean. The Manor offers dining in the main restaurant and conservatory over looking the gardens which has its own lounge bar. Whilst a more relaxed atmosphere can be enjoyed in the adjoining public bar where dogs are welcome. Adjoining terraces surround the building, wheelchair access is now provided to the rear terraces overlooking the views. The bedrooms are well appointed and comfortable. Refurbishment has now begun to bring The Manor back to the imposing building of Widemouth Bay.

We have been going here several years. May half term we booked while staying local table of 6. Told food delay by 60mins but in fact more like 1hr 20. Fish was not fresh & tasted like frozen from supermarket, burger bun was rock hard and burger dried out ! Coffee was unavailable ! And was not even offered complimentary drinks for the time we had waited for food ! Yes views are lovely ! But by far worst service & food for our whole holiday and we ate out every night ! We won’t be returning

Widemouth Bay Caravan Park

Had a great time here

Reviewed By Maps50796310814

Stayed in one of the comfort caravans which was clean and tidy when we arrived. It was nice and spacious in the living area especially with a toddler and 2 month old in tow. The second bedroom had some damage to the wall which wasn’t great but as our toddler was staying in the room we weren’t bothered enough to speak to the site staff. The biggest bane whilst staying here is the lack of signal. You would occasionally get a message through every now and again but it wasn’t possible to browse fb etc without heading to the club to connect to wifi. Not a bad thing to have a break from tech but it was slightly irritating sometimes. The site was well kept and looked after by the groundsmen, bins were collected twice whilst we were there (four nights, five days). The shop has everything you would need, we popped to sainsburys on the way down but this wasn’t necessary and you will be better off going to the shop for milk, bread etc they sell roddas milk and butter which was a nice touch! The club was very spacious, first time we went was for some dinner, the restaurant isn’t really separated from the louder area which isn’t ideal if you go for dinner nearer to 7pm onwards. All of the staff we spoke to were very helpful and polite, the food was very good too! Had a walk down to the beach which took 10-15 mins, this was an amazing beach, the views were amazing. This is a very dog friendly area so if you have dogs I would highly recommend coming here. We did come across a few hairs in the caravan but as we have a dog ourselves we weren’t too bothered, think it would be nice to keep some caravans separate without dogs maybe.
