Relaxing place with an authentic hot spring viking pool. Have a good breakfast ? in the morning between 8 and 11 so we did not have to wake up early. The staff was helpful and nice even though we kept locking our key ? in our room. The the girl with the fanny pack was expecially nice

Guesthouse and a restaurant in the west of Iceland. We offer rooms with sheared or private bathrooms and breakfast. We are open all year around.
Really good location as a base for stopping on your ring road tour or before heading up into the west fjords. Very friendly and helpful staff and great to have the onsite restaurant (the pizza is ace). Rooms are clean and warm and just what we needed. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Owner is the most unprofessional, RUDEST and MOST INSULTING host I have had in 20 years of traveling in 90 countries. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE! (except if you're a sadist and enjoy being yelled at for no reason or love to be accused of being a frauder) Cabin is very small, extremely dirty (e.g. fridge full of leftovers from the previous renters), kitchen practically not usable, coffee mashine more than disgusting. Plus the room remains extremly bright at night in summer, curtains are to small or broken. Price ridiculously high for what is offered, even for Iceland standards. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DON'T STAY HERE!

Perfect stop leaving the Western Fjords. Our host went above and beyond to be accommodating. Property is right on water with a beautiful view. Three very cute cottages on property. Highly recommend this property.

We stayed in a lovely double room at the Dalhyttur lodge. It was recently renovated and really charming. We were originally given a twin room with a kitchenette, but requested to be switched to a double instead. It didn't have a kitchenette, which was fine by us. The double room was much nicer than the twin, though both were clean and comfortable. It is super remote, so I'd recommend finding some place to eat before heading there. The mountain road there is absolutely gorgeous.

The apartments are in a duplex house in the small town, Budardalur only 150 km from Reykjavik. It is on the town border with a mountain veiw from living room and ocean view from kitchen. It is both private and peaceful. Great location for exploring the Western peninsula, Snæfellsnes and Westfjords. This is a house with two private apartments and this apartment is 80 square meters in size. There is a really well equipped kitchen, barbecue on the sundeck, bathroom with a shower, two bedrooms and a really spacious livingroom. One bedrooms with a double bed and one bedroom with a two single beds. In the livingroom is a sleeping sofa for two. There is a wi-fi internet connection. The area is really beautiful with the Westfjords to the north and Snæfellsnes to the south. The Northen Lights can be quite spectecular over the house at winter nights.
This is a small chalet bungalow close to the main road in the small town of Budardalur. Like many, we were on our way between Akureryi and Reykjavik and it is a useful place to break the journey. We were given a keycode and we could park directly outside. Inside, everything was clean and well equipped. We cooked our own meals at each self-catering property we rented and this one had the best selection of knives, bowls, glasses etc and all very well-kept and clean. There is a small supermarket and garage on the main road close by and a lovely local handicrafts shop where I bought a lupapeysa and some other handknitted items. In the chalet, it was great having space to move around after nights in small hotel rooms. The bed was comfortable and all facilities were functional. There is not much to see and do in the town other than a small beach and a handful of cafes and shops. You could get a pizza if you did not want to cook and the owner has supplied menus and prices.
