Friendly family run restaurant and pension
Reviewed By Lucky13sWe were staying in the area and this restaurant was recommended by the owner of our apartment. Family run, the restaurant is clearly frequented by locals as well as visitor which is always a good sign. It serves good local food and beer at a very reasonable price. It is homely and unpretentious with a friendly host. Open every day until late, a godsend when many places shut on Sunday evening and/or Monday. We enjoyed this so much we ate here on 2 of the 4 nights we were in the Brotterode area.

Do not go there with small children
Reviewed By Stefano6408We (my wife, a small 18 months old daughter and myself) went there for four days. It is my fault I did not check their home page before booking, but they charge you 20 euro per day for kids below 3 years plus 5 euro x day for a extra bed. For such small kids this does not make any sense as my daughter stil does not have breakfast and we did have nothing for the extra price paid ( apart from a small discount at the end ) Rooms we got was nice and clean with nice view, only bathrooms was small and no windows and with poor toiletries. Hotel is simply not equipped for small kids (no playground, no quiet corner where to have brekfast without disturbing other customers). For the same reason we did not try the restaurant I would strongly prefer they said they do not want small kids, but they problably like money too much, so i ended up spending more than 160 eurp per day, too much for what we got Surrounding area is gorgeous if you like hills hiking and be in contact with nature, although we were not lucky with the weather, but overall we enjoyed our stay To summarize Pros - Nice hotel - Good position - Friendly people - Very good breakfast Cons - Not worth the money for the service and the area - It could be a problem not speaking some German (that is true i think for the entire area) - Not suitable for small kids - Bathroom too small with no window and ventilation

Reviewed By Heike-ChristianWir haben 3 Nächte bei Carmen verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Ein sehr sauberes und ruhiges Zimmer mit Balkon, leckeres Frühstück und immer ein offenes Ohr für die Gäste.... Nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag in und um Trusetal bekamen wir immer ein mit Liebezubereitetes sehr gut schmeckendes Abendessen serviert. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf den nächsten Besuch... Vielen Dank an Carmen und ihre Tochter.

Reviewed By ReiseBrilleWir haben hier an einem Sonntag im August 2021 versucht Kaffee und Kuchen zu bekommen. Der Wirt liess uns stehen wir ein paar dumme Jungen, mir der Bemerkung: jetzt wäre erstmal das warme Essen dran. Weiter kein Kommentar, wir haben es dann vorgezogen, die Gaststätte zu verlassen.

Nettes Hotel für Kurzurlaub
Reviewed By deutz501Wir hatten ein 4 Tage Wanderpaket gebucht. Zimmer sind groß und freundlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstück w<r gut und ausreichend, einzig Körnerbrötchen fehlten. Dafür konnte man bei Bedarf für die Wanderung Brötchen mit Belag mitnehmen. Die HP bot regionale Küche wechselweise mit Vorsuppe oder Nachtisch. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut und war frisch gekocht. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich . Zu den Wanderungen wurde man hingefahren und bekam eine Karte mit dem We sowie eine Beschreibung.
