i had to stay here for business 4 days/week for past 12 months so I have a really good idea of how the place is. Basically, go to Decatur and stay there--you're wasting your money here. I'm not sure where they are getting their reviews but it can't be from folks in the last 12 months. *For the Front Desk: Not helpful/Heater doesn't work? Room Isn't Clean? Need Lightbulbs? No Breakfast? Didn't clean the room? Forgot to leave towels? Let me speak to the manager----I am the manager? Too Bad Room: Dirty; Lighting--so badly lit, you can't read a book; Heat/Air--doesn't work well; water pressure very low; just dingy and one time when I checked in, they gave me a key to THREE different rooms that hadn't been cleaned. Internet----you have to be on the first floor and close to the front desk, otherwise, it won't work. And they'll tell you---it's being fixed next week. Next week hasn't come for the past 12 months Breakfast: They don't even bother to pretend like they have a decent breakfast. No milk; Rarely OJ; Just packaged tiny muffins and yogurt and sometimes not even that. Just don't stay here. LaQuinta has gone down hill the past several years but this place is a new low even for LQ. If you're looking for an American owned property, this isn't it.

Full campground amenities March through October.
Lake access is great! The pavilion and family center are wonderful! Plenty of activities planned. I wish there were still a small store on-site. But having Dollar General just beyond the entrance helps out. Biggest issue finding a working site. At arrival someone said the water wasn't working at the we picked. Luckily, that had just been repaired. All grass sites, so no driveway, but it was freshly cut and fairly level. Electrical power kept cutting out. It wasn't our usage as we turned off everything but the A/C which takes 50% of the 30amp site. The neighbors around us all had the same issue throughout the weekend. Also wish more sites had full sewer hookups. For 30amp there were only about 5 sites with sewer and some of those are permanent residents or personal sites. Not much left for members who are actual campers. Too many of the PREMIUM sites are permanent residents or personal sites. I know the corporate line is that "a limited number of sites" are for this purpose. That may be true for the total number of sites. Using the total skews the perspective. We walked the Hollywood lane and more than 50% of those site are permanent or personal. Those are the only ones with sewer. We also walked the waterfront lane of the Suburbs aka Section 1, and the number was closer to 75% permanent or personal along that road. While we were there, TT was advertising to sell even more personal sites. Also talked to campers who had a year free membership given when they purchased their RV. Are there any other member campers left like us? We bought a national membership in 2004. We understand business models had to adapt to bring in revenue. But they should be developed equitably so that "camper members" have a decent chance of getting a premium campsite. What floors me is that I was sent an email wit rules and regulations for keeping the campsites neat and free of extra items that are not allowed. That included additional buildings, permanent furniture outside, modifications to the campsite, etc. Yet we saw installed firepits, inlaid stone patios, inground tables/swings, multiple plastic sheds. Not all of the permanent structures are aesthetic improvements. The regulations also said that all RVs had to be in a condition to move on short notice. Sadly, many of the sites have RVs that will likely have to be towed away when the occupant passes away. That's not what I was expecting when we purchased a membership for our future camping adventures.

Lady that worked here was extremely rude! They ran out of breakfast if you want to call what they had breakfast. The bed was broke , the refrigerator was broke the microwave didnt work , the dead bolt lock was broke ... the carpet was nasty ... there were cigarette burns in the bed. Sheets had rips in them. Dont stay here!!! And if the staff was nicer i probably wouldnt have even wrote a review... being nice goes along way. The tack strip under the carpet was showing and my 3 year old stepped on it and got hurt. The pool area is not clean the lights didnt work at night . The pool was cold . I can go on and on about how horrible the hotel was. We wont come back here. And i was also told icouldnt have anymore towels what???? You have a pool and we have to shower no im not using the same towel. Anyway again pick the next place .... and now the t.v. isnt working !!! So dumb

Stayed here one night with my husband and toddler in a 2 queen non-smoking room (room 103). We were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and simple but nice. The a/c/heat unit looked brand new, ran well, and even had a remote. The beds weren't super soft but weren't super hard either. There was a mini fridge bigger than most hotel fridges and a microwave in the room, as well as a table and chairs. The area seemed safe. The woman working the desk was an older lady (she said she was 84-years-old) and was friendly. The listing said breakfast was free, but we did not take advantage. We never used the wifi. I'm honestly not sure if they had free wifi or not. We were not given a password and couldn't find anywhere on the key or in the room where it was written. Overall, it was a good price ($44 on a Saturday night, & that was with a 15% off automatic discount and 5% discount code I found online). We will definitely stay here again in the future.
