Reviewed By 589marijabWe booked as they call it "an intimate ground floor apartment" that turned out to be in the (semi-)basement! The furniture was O.K., the apartment looked nice, but still... It looked clean but the air was terrible (semi-basement!!) and we couldn't really let the fresh air in, since the windows were in pavement height! The problem with all this is that their ad for that apartment is deceiving! "An intimate ground floor apartment" - that description is false and simply a lie. Not to mention the price for that hole, once you see it's in the (semi-)basement...

Reviewed By LidijaKashThe hotel is located in the old town of Brežice. Rooms are spacious, bright and clean.The hotel is located in a quiet area, so i get a good sleep. Breakfast is excellent and full of local ingredients. Miss Ana is very flexible and helpful. I heartily recommend this hotel!

One to stay away from
Reviewed By Niels LThe rooms were relatively clean on the surface, as long as you do not look to closely at things. Both rooms we had reserved also came with pets, namely at least one sizable eight-legged friend occupying the ceiling. In the room of our friends, this eight-legged buddy had found the time to create a web along the entirety of the ceiling, which clearly indicates it had been undisturbed at its job for quite some time. Everything in the room (except the spider) had clearly seen better days. The broken power socket especially was a serious safety hazard. The shared bathroom was an even more enticing story. Shared along six or seven rooms, the only bathroom contained the only toilet and bathtub on that floor of the hotel. In the bathtub, we found traces of a strangely spongy fungus and other spots we dreaded to identify. A real shower was nowhere to be found, nor did the bathtub include a shower curtain. However, since none of us were brave enough to really face the funghi-infested bathtub and take a bath, we all ended up using the shower head and taking a makeshift shower, while trying not to flood the place. Were it not that we just returned from a festival, we would have avoided to shower there, for fear of making ourselves dirtier. The one shared toilet (also included in the shared bathroom) was the undisputed domain of the Spider Realm, as we counted at least 6 large specimens guarding the Porcelain Throne. Nothing like taking a morning poo while being closely scrutinized by 64 eyes! The waitress (?) (the woman who seemed to be almost responsible for doing nearly all of the work) was friendly. The (Dutch, male) owner was not. One of our group also spotted a cockroach. In conclusion: - Would recommend for a thorough cleaning with flamethrowers. - If you're looking for accomodation for people you hate, it is perfect as it may very well have an adverse effect on their life expectancy. - None of us are ever setting foot in that place again.

Rooms are big, acceptably clean, but in need of more attention to details (like having a shower handle holder and vanity shelf replaced when broken). Mattress, pillows and bedding were mediocre. Breakfast acceptable but not varied and lacking fresh products like fruit, yoghurt. don't bother booking dinner and choose a local restaurant in the area to avoid disappointment. Poor wi-fi in the room.
