Does exactly what it says on the tin. Comfortble, clean and great value for money. This hotel has no pretensions to be a Ritz or Savoy. Good clean rooms at a very reasonable price. We went for a family get together and booked five rooms - nothin g was too much trouble for Wayne and Lynne . We will be returning.

Surrounded by wooded slopes, high peaks, waterfalls and trails, this lovely converted farmhouse makes an ideal rural retreat for a family holiday, school trip or activity break in Wales. Secluded? Yes, but with all the opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding you'll always have plenty to do. Most rooms have private facilities, there's a comfortable lounge and a fully-licensed catering service specialising in local produce and flavours. Full self catering kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing up basins and including all crockery and cutlery.

Stylish, Boutique B&B in Grade II Listed Georgian Town House in centre of Brecon featuring 3 individually styled en-suite bedrooms and sumptuous guest lounge overlooking Brecon Castle.
Have just had the most relaxing luxurious break with Paula and Glenn at the Town House in Brecon. They are perfectly situated with easy access to shops, coffee bars and restaurants. Also nearby is “the Promenade” - a pleasant riverside walk. Our room was beautiful, with a view across the rooftops to the Brecon Beacons. It was immaculately clean and attention paid to every detail - fan if we were too hot, central heating if too cold, toiletries, dressing gowns and slippers also supplied. We took advantage of the guests lounge on the first floor to catch up on some reading and admire Paula’s artwork which is displayed throughout the house and many are for sale too. On a personal level, Paula was the perfect host, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Her breakfasts were outstanding and use locally sourced produce. Plenty of choice and some unusual options e.g. fried halloumi. Your menu choices and preferred time of dining are booked on the previous evening - breakfast start times are staggered so it’s not too busy. Needless to say (although I will say it!), we highly recommend this lovely B & B and hope to stay again as soon as possible. Thank you Paula for”recharging our batteries” and restarting my aching artist fingers!

The Draen (Welsh for Thorn) is a wonderful old Welsh farm house that, in parts, dates back some 400 years. Nestling at the end of a very quiet country lane, surrounded by fields with fabulous views to the Black Mountains. A perfect spot for exploring, walking, cycling or simply just enjoying the peace and quiet of staying in a country setting rather than in town. We have 1 double ensuite room. There is 1 room with a king and single bed ideal for families/twin. Z beds available for extra children. The Rose Suite has a super king bed and en suite shower and its own private sitting room with a wood burning stove for cozy romantic getaways. All rooms are well appointed and en suite with quality beds, TV, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities. Iron and ironing board available upon request. Free WIFI. Ample free parking outside the house. There is a conservatory and garden available for residents use. This is an idyllic hideaway. So for a taste of The Beacons visit us at The Draen.
This has to be the most amazing B & B I have stayed in! I noticed one review put breakfast was “sufficient” this was obviously said tongue in cheek! You tick your choices the night before. Firstly the amount of choices to tick is amazing. Secondly when the breakfast came it was “huge” note you don’t need to have everything, you may regret that as you get so much. It was perfectly cooked, with fresh quality farm foods and absolutely delicious, trust me the breakfast alone is worth staying for. Sue is an amazing hostess. Super friendly but also disappears , however you know she is around if needed. A trait that’s difficult to do in the hospitality trade, but she did it perfectly and made it look effortless. Checkout is 11am, however due to nobody checking in the day we left she kindly let us stay until gone 12.30pm. In return I made our party strip the beds before leaving (Sue clearly tried to stop us, saying it was our holiday and that was something we didn’t need to do) but she let us stay late, and I certainly felt one good turn always deserves another. Sue and her husband (whom I didn’t see but was obviously the cook) do an amazing job. The B & B is clean, comfortable beds, fantastic quality bedding and towels (makes a huge difference in my book) all set in the most fabulous location. If you are reading this you are obviously considering booking, just book, you won’t regret it. Thanks Sue and the chef, loved your home and the amazing hospitality.

Situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons national park, The Borderers guesthouse is a former coaching inn dating from the 17th century. 47 The Watton is shown on the oldest known map of Brecon: the 1834 - Plan of Brecon as the Lamb Inn. The Borderers is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park and is within two minutes walking distance of the centre of Brecon and it many attractions. We are dog and biker friendly and have an enclosed courtyard with a low entrance - perfect for bikers!
Wow, what a hidden gem. Gail, the owner, is truly meant for the role she is in. She was so warm and inviting after a long day of traveling to Brecon. The room was large, had all the amenities we could wish for, a comfy bed, different teas to choose from and historic charm. Gail helped us before our trip to figure out plans around the national park and while we were there she pointed us towards great food and sites to see. She spoiled us every morning with a delicious breakfast that was truly made with love. She also makes her own bread every day, it was incredible. The location is great, we were able to walk everywhere around town from the Inn. I can't stop telling everyone about what a wonderful stay we had. I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating but I'm not. Gail is just one of those warm souls who is a natural and joyful host, You can tell she truly loves what she does- the Inn itself and the experience there shows it. I've traveled all around the world and this is up there as one of my best Inn experiences. I can't wait to come back here with my family.

Beautifully restored traditional Welsh Farmhouse. Ty Newydd is set in a unique location on the canal by a traditional canal boat Marina. Unspoilt views of the Welsh Countryside from your bedroom window and locally sourced cooked breakfast. Good local pubs, private parking, but still convenient for Brecon town. Great base for exploring the Brecon Beacons.
Lovely location, lovely people, everything comfy and clean, brekkie amazing, the level by which all B&B's should try to achieve, many thanks and we cannot wait to return with our bikes and hit the towpath, which we could see from our room.

Cosy bed and breakfast rooms for hikers and cyclists. A great base for exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park. We can loan maps, provide packed lunch and a thermos, drop you off at the start of the trail....
Probably one of the best b&by we've ever stayed in. We had the front room with en-suite and it was so comfortable with everything you could wish for. Breakfast was gorgeous downstairs in the 'cafe' that's no longer used as such for the public. Jon was a great host and made use so welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
