Nice hotel at the countryside
Reviewed By SomeishereThe place is suitable for walks in the surroundings. We got a nice room. The restaurant offered well tasting food in the evening. The breakfast was good as well and was included in the price. Parking in front of the reception. To recommend? Absolutely!

Reviewed By Tim OStayed here on an overnight stop. Handily near the A1 motorway. Very good bedroom, and evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Would be happy to stay here again if we need to break our journey to or from north Germany.

Reviewed By ron rIt is not a full fledged hotel but a bed and breakfast thing. But with a full restaurant attached. In a (former) cloister, but the atmosphere remained still. It is spacious, many rooms to linger, with long and complicated corridors, creaking old staircases (attention, worn out steps) floors and woodbeams seem to be from the time it was build 1650s. Lots tranquility and greenery surrounds you. We had room nr.12 which was huge and beautiful. Only the birds waking you up at sunrise are a "nuissance". Period furniture, a large chapel, all in your privacy. On a friday in summer we were the only overnighting guests. They seem to be too shy (or not their style) to agressively market their gem. The restaurant offers genuine countrside style atmosphere either indoors or under centennial trees. Price/value is unbeatable. 2person overnight w/ breakfast for under 80 eur, Cloister beer 4eur for half a litre, herring filets w potato salad 9 eur. Most of it home/local made. Recommended: fresh made "flammkuche" (very thin crusty wheat doe, with toppings like bacon, onions,and sour cream; or with salmon; or just herbs. All very light. No, not comparable to a fat and heavy pizza; it is an alsatian/palatinat dish). Oh yes, friendly sercices, too.

Stop over mod Mosel
Reviewed By mogensl506Vi besøgte Gasthof Bischof på vej mod Mosel. Efter en lang dag i kø, trængte vi til noget godt at spise og en overnatning. Blev modtaget i restauranten af en venlig og imødekommende værtinde, som viste os til vores værelse på 1 sal. Her fik vi et dejligt, stort og rent værelse nr 3. Sengene er dejlige, og der er ikke noget at sætte en finger på. BEMÆRK dog at beliggenhed er 50 mtr fra togbane som giver en del støj. Sidste tog var dog ved 23 tiden. Morgentoget kom 6.23, så er du vågen :-). Vi spiste på stedet om aftenen. Fik medaillons af svinefilet på bund af kantarel sovs. Dertil rosmarin kartofler. Det var ikke mindre end fantastisk. God betjening og fair priser. Kan bestemt anbefales til en overnatning.

Reviewed By asatsuyuWir kamen gegen 20:07 Uhr im Hotel an, der Inhaber sagte man gerade Guten Tag. Angezogen in Arbeitskleidung, rauchend und Bier trinkend! Etwas konfus schaute er auf unsere Online-Reservierung. Das 1. Zimmer (11) war nicht sauber gemacht, auch die Betten waren nicht bezogen. Dass andere Zimmer (2) war im selben Zustand. Wir wurden gebeten uns einen Moment zu gedulden, in dieser Zeit wurde das Zimmer notdürftig hergerichtet. Trotzdem war das Zimmer äußerst schmutzig, die Fliesen und Wanne im Bad haben schon lange keine Reinigung mehr erfahren, Staubflocken überall s. Fotos. Eine Kartenzahlung war nicht möglich, Hotel ist nicht zu empfehlen!
