Reviewed By hedyrichardsThe hotel is ideally located if you arrive on Borkum by catamaran or ferry (it is adjacent to the shuttle railway station), a short walk from the beach and surrounded by the cafes, restaurants and bars of Borkum itself. If you have a taste for privately owned hotels with rather eccentric decor, this place will appeal. There’s a huge mural of the lighthouse on the first floor and the door to our room was in the middle of it. The room itself was spotless and spacious with a balcony overlooking the central square. It could have been improved by better quality toiletries as there was only a small bar of soap and two sachets of shower gel. Breakfast was very good indeed, with a wide range of hot and cold dishes. The manager speaks excellent English and is extremely helpful.

Reviewed By mdaams53We spent several nights there. The room was spacious, clean, but a bit outdated. Location was good, right in the centre. Beds were comfortable, so we had no complaints. Several restaurants nearby, but they close down very early!

Reviewed By mario_itnaThe Hotel is located 15 minutes walking distance from the city center. The Train service which connects the harbor to the city center has a stop just 5 minutes away from the hotel. The personnel is friendly but not very fluent in English and not flexible with the checkout time (we should have been granted some extra time as Booking.com Genius customers, anyway they let us leave our luggage at the reception). We had a very nice and clean room with all the comforts and the bathroom as well. WIFI is provided free of charge. We could bring our dog paying a fee of 15€ per night. German Breakfast was delicious and served in the winter garden in a very nice atmosphere. Recommended for short or long stays.

It is central, it is quiet, clean and secure with service and food from Klause the manager and his team of hard working and friendly staff. The rooms are a good size on suit, and kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. The selection of food offered on the menu will suit any pallet and is cooked to a high standard with a breakfast display that gets the mouth watering when seen. After a sauna, if you just want to relax a lot of the rooms have a balcony where you can sit and soak up the sun. Don't just take my word for it, try it, you will not be disappointed.

A Tradition Weekend Getaway
Reviewed By wrmdispatcherEfficient check in. Nice room with plain but appropriate decoration. Pleasant staff and a great breakfast. Just a 5 minute walk from the beach. Take the train to Emden and then travel over on the ferry. No real need for a car on the island.
