Guests enjoy our DOWNTOWN & CENTRAL LOCATION which allows them to stroll to all waterfront activities, boat excursions, and restaurants, and then retreat back to our inn to bask in the secluded privacy of our Seaside location. A luxurious & modern hybrid between a boutique Inn or hotel and a charming B&B with larger rooms & spacious bathrooms with unique special touches.
My mom and I stayed here for 2 nights in May, and this stay was our favorite in a 10 road trip up the coast of Maine. We stayed on the top floor, which was a challenge for my 83 year old mom, but she was mentally prepared for the stairs and wanted to stay at the top for the better views (good views are on all floors, though). We ended up getting a couple of dinners to go so we could enjoy the deck. The breakfasts are AMAZING! I am still dreaming of them. Both of us are allergic to gluten, and it was no problem to accommodate us. Alex and staff are very attentive, even helped with the luggage when we got in. I left a few things behind, and Alex and Maria kindly shipped them back to me - in the midst of the busy tourist season. I highly recommend a stay in Boothbay Harbor (great spot to base day trips, and really nice people everywhere!) and I highly recommend staying at Harborage Inn.

What a thrill and surprise to learn that we have been chosen as the signature image of the annual guide to Maine Guide to Inns and Bed & Breakfast accommodations, published by the Maine Tourism Association. Our sweet little waterfront deck is on the cover of the magazine, as well as the online guide! We hope you'll find your way to our special little spot and share your own special memory of the majestic Maine coast. Located on the waterfront in the heart of the scenic coastal town of Boothbay Harbor, our historic Victorian Bed and Breakfast has earned the distinction as the "finest B&B on the Waterfront." Our waterfront Inn, located on Boothbay Harbor enjoys the ever changing tides of the Harbor, specializes in gracious Down East hospitality, most accommodations with water views, and balconies overlooking Boothbay Harbor. Guests love our convenient location, we located on the harbor enjoy the tides changing, park your car and walk along to harbor to all the boating excursions, restaurants, shops and galleries. Make sure to visit us in the winter as well. The Gardens Aglow during our winter months paired with the Opera House and Winter Festivals are magical. Our Bed and Breakfast is just steps away to all downtown Boothbay Harbor’s shops, art galleries, restaurants, fishing and boating excursions. Free off street parking and free wi-fi.
Harbour Towne Inn is wonderful. It sits near the end of the harbour… quiet, yet close to all the activity. This B&B is delightfully decorated, with a comfy bed in a spacious room, private bath with mini fridge and microwave, and has a wide deck outside with seating that affords a relaxing view of the harbor. It was adorably decorated, and had an abundance of colorful flowers all about the property. Stephanie is a very gracious host - she serves a breakfast of scrumptious quiches, homemade muffins, fresh fruit, fresh juice and coffee, and even serves warm cookies in the evening. It’s picture postcard perfect!

When you visit this East Boothbay inn, you won’t ever want to leave.
Five Gables Inn in East Boothbay was a delightful surprise. Our hosts, Steve and Susan, were so welcoming we thought they were old friends. Breakfast was always delicious with some unique added extras. The rooms were each different and very nicely decorated in nautical Coastal Maine style. They were very comfortable, and most have views of the cove, across the street. The Inn is located on a long dead-end street which allowed for nice, leisurely walks with more views of the cove and the many lovely homes in East Boothbay. We highly recommend the Five Gables.

My second visit here and I enjoyed it every bit as much as the first. The staff is wonderful. Our room was just what we needed for our brief stay in Boothbay Harbor. A short walk to the famous footbridge and the whole town is there to explore. I'll definitely plan a third visit if my travels plans carry me in that direction again.

Welcome to the finest choice in Boothbay Harbor Maine accommodations. The Flagship Inn invites you to relax in some of the Boothbay Harbor Region's most comfortable and reasonable accommodations, all guaranteed by AAA and Mobil guide ratings. "Best Value" is how our guests describe us! We are locally owned and operated which allows us to offer the exceptional service of a small inn but the modern amenities of a chain hotel.
So, I didn’t realize this “inn” is basically a motel. It’s clean, comfortable beds, very small….bathroom very small, they give you slivers of soap. Stained tile in bathroom from a leak above. I would call it a tired 80’s look. It was not a place I looked forward to returning to for a respite after a morning & afternoon of touring. The lady who checked us in was efficient, but, don’t try to ask any questions as she has her “Schpiel” that will ultimately answer your most of your ?’s. She does NOT like to be interrupted….I guess it throws her off track. Who knows, it’s a little off putting though for someone in the hospitality industry. Our first night we were awakened by sounds about 1:30 am that sound like they were throwing around boulders. That went on for about an hour before they settled down. Sunday morning we were awakened at 6:30 am by totally inconsiderate smokers who chose to use the chairs under our window for smoking and talking. If you stay here, my advice would be to remove those chairs. The front desk response was “oh, folks are not supposed to smoke there, but, guess what? There was no sign saying so an no one to stop them. Getting back to check in, we asked the woman about restaurant recommendations and her response was “I don’t eat out, so, I can’t say, similar to what another reviewer wrote. Bottom line, I would not recommend this place. Spend a little more money and get a more pleasant experience. Judy May 2022

Brown's Wharf Inn Hotel, Marina and Restaurant is located directly over the ocean on beautiful Boothbay Harbor. All rooms have balconies and a commanding view of the harbor, the ocean and boating activities. Cable TV, telephone, refrigerators, coffee makers, irons, in-room safes, Wi-Fi, use of computer, park and lock parking. Restaurant has been owned and operated by the Brown Family for the past 74 years, offering a full menu but specializing in local fresh seafood. Inside-outside dining with beautiful sunsets.
When you look at the outside of this hotel, it seems to be a little tired looking. The rooms, however, are fantastic! So much room, great views, comfortable bed and pillows, and very clean! The bathroom was a bit small, but adequate. Breakfast was yogurt and muffins and fruit, but enough. Coffee was good. Staff was extremely friendly. Definitely a place to consider staying at when in town.

Ocean Gate Resort is a 33-acre oceanfront resort surrounded on three sides by tidal inlet and just minutesfrom Boothbay Harbor. The nine buildings are nestled among the majestic pines and perched on the rocky coast line of Maine. All rooms include a full breakfast, refrigerator, coffee maker, A/C, cable TV. On-site free amenities include a heated pool, canoes, kayaks, mini-golf course, tennis and basketball court, and stocked fishing pond.
This is a classic New England resort (think family camps like in the movie Dirty Dancing). It sits on an island with beautiful ocean views. The accommodations are older, but comfortable (the wall heater was not working in one of our rooms, but staff had already provided a space hater that was quite sufficient). There are lots of activities available ... a pool, miniature golf, kayaks, hiking, tennis, bicycles. The included breakfast was amazing, with sitdown service and lovely views. The staff is great. A trip into Booth Bay Harbor is about 10 minues.

Frommer's Travel Guide said, "It's hard to convey the magnificence of the ocean views, maybe the best of any Inn's in Maine." The open sea, rocky cliffs and thick forest create an enchanting setting for the historic Newagen Seaside Inn, poised on the tip of Southport Island in the heart of Maine's famed Boothbay Harbor region. Make some memories at the newly restored, yet always historic, Newagen Seaside Inn, at the edge of the sea.
Yay!! This place is one of the few in New England that DOESN'T allow dogs. (Who wants a mangy beast sniffing your leg while you're trying to eat breakfast?) Thank you to the management... I'll be sure to stay here again for some peace and quiet, for that reason alone.
