Cosy, small guesthouse in the middle of beautiful Telemark. Close to the Seljord lake, well known for it's sea serpent. All rooms have private bathroom and free TV/wifi. Kitchen in or available for all rooms. Food market nearby, open all days. Well suitable for families or couples.
We had a wonderful stay at Solheim for 2 nights. We were actually given a larger room, at no extra charge, that was great to have some extra room. We had delicious breakfasts each day and really enjoyed seeing a more authentic Norwegian spot than a typical hotel. This is more of a Bed and Breakfast. It was a great location while visiting our daughter in nearby Bø. Would definitely recommend.

Rent a cabin at Lifjell, in the middle of Telemark. About 800 over sea level, with downhill- and cross country skiing. We have 50 cabins with separate bedrooms and bathrooms.
Located 10-15min from city center, great hiking area right by, small "beach" 500m from the area. The cabin we stayed at was dirty, the beds had dirty sheets on, dead spiders everywhere, dust everywhere and dog hair on the couch. Staff not very friendly either.

On the top of Lifjell, Bø in Telemark, only two hours from Oslo, you will find Lifjellstua. A 60 year old mountain lodge with an amazing athmosphare. We have 19 rooms, restaurant and bar. Open all weekends and holidays.
Cosy mountain lodge. Small but clean rooms. Friendly staff, and superb service. Great food and atmosphere. Situated at the mountain. Good location for mountain hikes. Recommended! Dette var et koselig sted! Så varm, hyggelig service, fint opppusset og god mat. Anbefales!

Beveroya Camping is located only 1km from Bo town centre. Beveroya Camping can offer all year camping in beautiful surroundings next to the Bo river, only 5km from Bo Sommarland. Cabins, flats and caravans for rent. Modern sanitation facilities, handicap friendly.
Actually this i spot with a lot of drunk people 24/7, lot of traffic close into the camp-area, heavy trucks 24/7. The river is really Dangerous and powerful for the children and the youths. Only good thing is location. Stay away if you can

Bø Hotell is centrally located in the city center of Bø in Telemark, Norway. During the summerseason Bø Hotell is a tourist hotel. Fall, winter and spring Bø Hotell is a conference hotel. The hotel has 64 rooms, many meeting and conferense rooms and a large restaurant that was fully renovated in 2014.
Recommended. One night stay for work site visit next day. It is so nice that Norwegian Hotels provide a decent breakfast, the hopeless hunt for breakfast outside the hotel is frustrating when it is so convenient to have breakfast at the hotel with absolutely no transport involved.

We've got a store, outdoor swimming pool and playground. - great for families with children - 500m to Bo Sommarland waterpark - 700m to Telemarkshallen - 4km to Bo town centre - 10km to Lifjell Skicenter
I really want to say that I loved this place in most ways, but it was not perfect and it could quite easily have been. The entry and where to park could use some more signage maybe also in different languages as we didn’t know were to park the car to go into reception. Also there are a lot of signs that are confusing all over the place, so the ‘Reception’ one could be a bit easier to see to be honest as it wasn’t hugely clear. If you go into the first area that looks like a shop then you’ll see the staff at the desk off to the right. Upon our arrival they were incredibly lovely and warm. We got our key quick and directions to our Hytta around the corner and behind the building at No.1! You can park right in front of your little bungalow and that’s quite handy I think. There was a BBQ table out front (sadly you need to BYO BBQ) to sit at if you want to and a cute little cabin within. We were unfortunately opposite the campgrounds rubbish bins so the smell occasionally wifts past but also right in front of the ‘sweet waffle’ food truck so that looked cool even tho we didn’t get a chance to try it out. There was two rooms, a basic comfy lounge, coffee table and dining table with two chairs with Bunk beds (2x small double beds) and kitchenette with a separate 1980’s bathroom. The kitchenette comes with two hobs and includes a saucepan, frypan and mini oven. There’s glasses, cups, plates and bowls and basic cutlery so you can easily make breakfast or dinner like we did in bringing frozen croissants and a lasagna from home. The sink comes with a scrubber but no paper or tea towels so you’ll need them. There’s also a toaster, kettle and coffeepot if you bring your own filter coffee. The splashback makes it feel clean and pretty nice. Then there’s the bathroom directly behind the kitchenette. This is where we found it to be a massive let down. The bathroom has gross brown tiled old school flooring that came with a huge floor squeegee for a reason as the shower curtain held nothing in and just leans onto you as you try to shower and you watch the water completely cover the floor. We knew to bring towels and bedding but didn’t know to bring bath mats or hand towels so yeah BRING BATH MATS but just know that they probably need to be picked up and put down before you enter and exit the shower as they’ll quickly become drenched if you leave them on the floor as the drain isn’t quick enough to filter the water away so yeah we trudged water through to the other room and had to take off pajama pants if we wanted to use the bathroom during the night or after someone has showered, not ideal. For less than 3000kr a small renovation of adding a small dusjkabinette could solve this problem so I hope the park investigates this option. I know this is also a ‘disabled’ room but again, you could just more regularly clear the drains and install bending doors with some water guarding at the bottom so that might help too. Easy fixes! Moving on from this though, the park offers a great little restaurant with surprisingly delicious food and no stingy offerings either, a pretty great amount of food in each meal for very decent price given how expensive Norway is. The staff there were super friendly too. We really loved our meals, potato for me, burger for the hubbie and the boys shared a pizza too. All really yummy. On-site also is a pretty good sized pool with a baby pool sectioned off and tho you have to pay, I think it’s worth it. They also have a playground with swings and trampolines and a giant pillow that the kids loved and the winner was the peddle-powered go-carts that also required payment but it honestly wasn’t much and I think they were a huge hit. Think the hubbie and 8yr old did mini-golf and had a bit of fun too. I recommend Bø Camping but we would never stay in the cabin again, maybe an apartment if their bathrooms are nicer.

This traditional Albanian House is a place I would always want to return to because it is run by an amazing family: Hamit Salkurti, who is a guide about everything in Diber and with whom you can talk to for hours about local agriculture, ecoturism, politics, religion and life; Hamit's wife the teacher (whose name escapes me) who is the most amazing cook I have ever known, and if you want a real experience of food order the local lamb dinner & jufka (home-made pasta) which was the best Albanian meal I ever had; and then there is Ardita, the extremely talented daughter who is full of beans and makes amazing decorations and textile designs that you can't NOT spend your money in and three other children who run this Inn! Basically, you are in the best hands if you stay in this Konak even if you want to climb the local Korab mountain (as Hamit has led groups doing it for years). Hamit & his family in Konaku Diber are actually one of those authentic people who have invested all they have in the eco-turism; they have an agricultural training center within the compaund of their large Inn, they grow the food they eat, they teach their children how to grow this food and they are committed to this remotest, but yet the most beautiful part of Albania to the point of building livelyhoods for future generations as not to desert this place! Hamit has extensive experience in working for environmental, humanitarian and other international organisations in Diber for several decades so with him hosting you, you are getting an entire institutional knowledge of everything Dibranian! I am clearly in love with this family so I will stop and reccomend it fully as my family's experience of Peshkopi would be so poor if we had not met this remarkable Salkurti family who run this Han! Ps. Photos below are from Rabdishte, the village next to Peshkopi we visited which is 20 min drive from the Konaku i Dibres!
Staurheim Farm is a traditional farm in the middle of Telemark. Two small houses has been restaured and are used as guesthouses. There are animals and activities for children.
