Lone Mountain Ranch (LMR), situated on 148 acres in beautiful Big Sky, Montana, was first homesteaded in 1915 and has long been recognized as one of the premier guest ranch resorts in the country. The property consists of 30 rooms located within 24 unique cabins as well as a restaurant and saloon, pavilion, retail shop, equestrian facilities, and meeting spaces. Listed on the National Registry of the Historic Places, a member of the Dude Rancher's Association, an Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge, a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World, and once voted the #1 Nordic ski area in North America, LMR offers authentic accommodations, genuine Montana cuisine, exceptional service, and a stunning array of outdoor activities. Combine these attributes with close proximity to Yellowstone National Park, Big Sky Resort, as well as Bozeman Airport, and we believe the LMR guest experience is unlike any other in the American West.
Our time at Lone Mountain Ranch was fabulous! We fed carrots to the horses as soon as we arrived, which was so great! The vibe by the stables was so lovely; fire pits going, people wandering around with drinks, petting horses… We decided we needed some pre-dinner drinks ourselves, so we stopped by the bar, where we were greeted by Brien! He was super friendly and made us feel welcome while he made our delicious cocktails. After finishing our cocktails, we headed up to dinner. Chris greeted us warmly and took us to our table, where we met Joel, who is maybe the friendliest waiter I’ve ever had! I could instantly tell he was passionate about his job and the food he was serving! He gave us great recommendations on food and wine! My group is still talking about the wonderful time we had at Lone Mountain Ranch and all the great people we met while there!

Your Montana adventure begins here! The Residence Inn Big Sky blends modern functionality with sophisticated mountain living, and our staff is waiting to welcome you to Big Sky Country with open arms.
This hotel was perfect for what we needed. It seemed like it was a new hotel, very clean, beds comfortable. You can't beat the restaurant located at the hotel- Copper. It isn't associated with the hotel so it's better than your typical hotel restaurant. We were there in May and there was not a lot going on in the area. You can access Yellowstone Park from here. The hotel staff were all very nice - the rooms have refrigerators which makes it nice when you are using this as a home base for travel into the park.

Located minutes from the Base Village area yet quiet and private, The Lodge at Big Sky is Big Sky's only independent lodging located slope side in Big Sky Montana. We are the best value on the mountain. Come visit us and see what sets us apart from the others:)
This is a great value hotel with a magnificient view and walking distance to Big Sky Mountain Village. The facility is nice and clean. The hotel also provided free breakfast and free shuttle to the ski resort for all guests. The beautiful view from the dining / lobby area is breath taken. These are justt a few things that I want to highlight about the facility and great services the hotel have providing us. The customer services is a 5-star!!! This is a family-run busniness, but do not let that fool you. The family and the staff has provided an exceptional services that are above and beyond. We had the opportunity to meet the owner and his family. What a wonderful family that they have. They are so accomodating to guests and allowed us to enjoy their facility / hotel just like being at home. We love the warm-welcome atmosphere along with the beautiful smiles and fun spirit. I just could not believe how lucky we were to find such a quaint and nice gem of this hotel on our last days of the skiing season. We will definitely return in the summer to explore the area and stay at this place again. Please do come to support this small business hotel and enjoy their wonderful offers to your travels and vacation. I overheard that they will remodel this hotel and make it even better with great rooms and amenities. I can't wait to make this place my next vacation destination for many years to come. Thank you for hosting me and my friends. We truly enjoy your hospitality!!!

Located in the heart of Big Sky Resort's Mountain Village, these units offer comfort and convenience. Guests will enjoy the innovative suites and condominiums in the slopeside Village Center along with numerous shopping and dining options on the plaza level. Village Center features fine finishes, designer decor, and Boyne Beds. Select rates include breakfast.
I loved the location of this property. Property was clean and rooms were nice. The murphy bed was not as comfortable as previous reviews led you to believe. The 2nd floor rooms with the walk out patios were nice and had a good view. We stayed in 283. It was nice having breakfast included with our stay. Zoe was helpful and always had a smile. I would recommend.

This hotel is conveniently located on Highway 191 midway between Bozeman and West Yellowstone near the turn off to Big Sky, MT. Its family and dog friendly, with continental breakfast included. The Whitewater Inn on the banks of the Gallatin River is open year round within a few minutes' drive to local restaurants, and within 15 minutes of Big Sky Resort's Mountain Village.
We stayed here earlier this month, and were very happy with our choice. This is an upscale hotel (they issue you a parking permit when you check in), but if you are travelling with heavy luggage, you will want to stay on the main floor, WHICH IS THE SECOND FLOOR. We strongly advise you to make this request with your reservation. The rooms are large and well-appointed, with light colored Swedish style furniture that is a welcome alternative to the heavy, dark furniture favored by most hotels. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows small; we carry our own, so this was not a problem. Breakfast was surprisingly minimal, but the indoor pool and hot tub were a great treat at the end of a long day. The hotel was very quiet. There is one added bonus: between Gallatin Gateway and Big Sky, the Gallatin River flows through a beautiful canyon that has lots of turnouts for the local fishermen. so you can enjoy scenery that frankly puts Yellowstone to shame. There is also a decent BBQ joint (Riverhouse Grill) just a couple of miles to the south. We look forward to staying here again.

We have been going to Big Sky for many years and staying at the Summitt Hotel. The upgrades to the rooms are really nice and was definitely time! We really liked it, of course the price went up as well. The "cowboys", i.e. bell staff who also drive when available were very helpful and nice. Richard helped us and Max and Tristan drove us to dinners, they were polite, pleasant and interesting, we enjoyed talking with them as well as appreciated the good service.

The elegant Euro-Western Summit at Big Sky has been the vacation choice of both President Obama and Vice President Biden. The Summit is one of the finest slopeside properties in the Rockies with primary high-capacity lifts only 100 yards away. The Summit combines luxury appointments with a prime location in the heart of the Mountain Village Center.
Shout out to Matt front desk (he REALLY made our stay wonderful by arranging to move us to a mountain room on the last half of our stay when it wasn’t avail initially) James was also very accommodating at front desk. The host in the restaurant (which served an excellent buffet every morning which was INCLUDED) “Ricardo” is just an exceptional customer service professional. All the valet guys with their cowboy hats were wonderful as well as everyone who worked in the ski rental shop. The huge hot tub (that you enter from inside and ease out even when it’s snowing) is what can’t be beat. Not to mention the convenience of the ski in/out this huge beautiful mountain!

Conveniently located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this three-story hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. It is as tasteful as it is convenient: the Explorer Lift is just out the back door. Under the same roof are concierge, dining, shopping, ski storage, meeting rooms, and spa. The Huntley Lodge features Boyne Beds and flat panel televisions.
Ski trip out west to Big Sky. We stayed right at the base of the mountain at the Huntley Lodge. Extremely convenient short walk to the chairlift. The bell staff of Tim, Max, Bowman, Josh, Victor, and Nic were awesome shuttling us around to destinations off the mountain and sharing their general knowledge of Big Sky. Can't wait to go back!
