About 15 miles southeast of Perugia lies the lovely walled town of Bevagna, which, happily for travel-weary hill-climbing legs, is basically flat relative to other area towns. Can’t-miss sights include the 12th-century Palazzo dei Consoli (Palace of the Consuls) and the churches of St. Sylvester and St. Michael Arcangel, both also dating from the 12th century. The Madonna of the Snow was built atop a Roman temple ruin. The Mercato delle Gaite, a major medieval festival, happens every June.

A residence occupied by the same family since 1788, the Angels Mongalli Nieri, who have traditions passed down through the centuries and that, since 15 years, have opened their home for hospitality. The kitchen, furniture, hospitality and atmosphere have remained unchanged over time. Each room is different and wind up two different structures joined by a roof garden. Start your day with a breakfast buffet with typical products from Umbria, prepared by pastry.
This is a lovely old-world hotel affiliated with an amazing restaurant. I might have gladly returned to this hotel if it hadn't been for a 107 euro fine for unloading my bags at the hotel. The hotel said they have an arrangement with the local police to allow cars into the old city to load or unload luggage at the hotel. The person at the hotel desk explained they contact the police to let them know when cars are driving in. But alas, six months later, I received a fine for illegally driving my car to the hotel to unload my suitcases. I asked the hotel for help in contacting the local police, but they ignored me. So if you choose to stay at this hotel, be careful about their claims that it's all right to bring your car into the center. I feel deceived by the hotel and disappointed they made no effort to resolve the problem.

Our residence offers comfort and service at a high level, in a quiet and suggestive contest. Inside the Residence Porta Guelfa you can find a small but exclusive natural Spa to regenerate the body and the mind, with a whirlpool, sauna and a relaxing area. The Residence has 12 apartments, softly furnished, that characterize the classical Umbrian style and all the comfort of the modern technological equipment: sky ppv, internet, tv lcd.
We loved this hotel. It is located just outside the city walls - a very short walk and you can see the mountains in the distance (snow covered in March) as you walk. We had a living/dining area with stove, sink, frig, coffee-maker tea pot etc. There was a separate bedroom. Excellent bathroom Lots of windows so all rooms were bright. It was very cold and windy outside but the rooms were well heated. Loved the views form the windows. The ceilings have wooden beams and our bedroom had a lovely painted ceiling. Bed comfortable. Gianluca was an excellent host. he was always there. The yard is very large and was just beginning to show signs of spring. It would be lovely in spring and summer. We didn't have breakfast in but it was offered. We preferred to walk into the city where we found a local cafe.

Once the home of the noble Pietro Brunamonti and his wife, the poetess Alinda Bonacci, this Palace makes you relive history. Roman remains, discovered during restoration, can be seen in the hall while the structure lays onto medieval walls. The atmosphere is an intriguing mix of a cozy home-like feel with the excitement of a fascinating history.
The hotel is situated in a small alley in this old town. Our room was clean, good shower, ac, and quiet.breakfast was fine. We got there early and were grateful that we could check in. Staff was not warm, but not rude either.

Torre del Colle is a tiny village but it is so sweet! We loved our stay at Ostello Bello, there was a delicious breakfast every morning with coffee, croissants, juice and yogurt in the main hotel building. We stayed in “the tower” room which was so scenic. Torre del Colle is a great location if you are looking for a relaxing vacation and are interested in hiking and biking around the nearby villages.

CASA CANTONE was for centuries an independent village, with his own church, school and bakery. Having been completely renovated maintaining it' own original character. Our sporting activities include the use of our bicycles and the private swimming pool. All the rooms are furnished with furniture from the 19 century. C.C. also offers the possibility to enjoy a dinner based on the typical Umbrian kitchen.
We enjoyed our 4 nights however we had a few issues. We would like to warn guests that the hotel does not provide 24 hour service and when you arrive it is likely that you will be locked out of the hotel grounds. There is a contact phone number at the gate but we found that this didn't work. Fortunately we had success when we used a different number (one we had from our contact details) Also we were told that the hotel provided bikes and cycle maps on request. But on arrival, we discovered that the bikes were in very old and there were no maps available.

Very nice staff all over. Very friendly. Ample space for tents. Nice swimming pool. Quiet and peaucefull camping. But...hygiene all over bad. We have never seen anybody cleaning during our 4 days stay. Stains we left the first day were still there when we left! The swimming pool was also... sanitary was strange: showers inside a toilet...

Il Giardino degli Elfi farmhouse and camping area is your oasis of silence and relaxation. The bright colors of nature and the unchanged beauty of the farmhouse give you a feeling of wellbeing, harmony and energy: Il Giardino degli Elfi is your landing place to stop and relax from the stressful rhythms of life. The XIX century farmhouse is divided in one independent apartment plus 4 bedrooms with fully equipped private bathroom and old family furnishings. Outside there are 3 fully equipped camping areas, a swimming pool with salty water and a big garden with age old trees. Surrounded by Umbrian peaceful countryside and well connected to the main routes, its location is ideal to go and visit famous cities of art such as Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Perugia, Orvieto, Roma, Firenze or discover natural or enogastronomic treasures.
Il Giardino defli Elfi We found staying with Fabiola, Giancarlo and Lorenzo at their incredible working farm offering agri camping is pure unadulterated pleasure. Their farmhouse dining room is open for dinner and breakfasts, produce locally sourced if not from the farm, and results in superb traditional Italian cooked food. There are only three pitches, which can accommodate any of today’s large sized motorhomes or caravans, as we found out with our 8.5m unit. There is water and electric to the pitches, with spectacular views all around, especially Assisi. The ‘bathroom’ is far superior to one on a campsite, modern, spotless and with heating. We loved our welcome, our stay, the food was amazing and we can’t wait to return. If you visit, remember to buy and take away fresh eggs, farm produced olive oil, nuts and jams to remind you of a little bit of Italian Heaven.

Wonderful stay at La Fonte! Relaxing and welcoming. During our stay we were able to enjoy the local cuisine and visit characteristic medieval castles. Perfect for couples but also for families. Our dog was able to stay without supplemental fees and enjoyed her stay.

The Farmhouse "La Casetta di Chiara" is situated on Collemancio and enjoys a panoramic view over the valley of the Subasio (Assisi, Spello). The structure consists of five attractive apartments of 45 square meters elegantly furnished with taste, with independent entrances and wooden porch and lit set. The apartments are divided into: Living room with fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom with shower.
Our apartment terrace overlooked the olive grove and lavender hedge and in distance we admired the Basilica of St. Francis and Assisi by starlight. Our host could not have been more hospitable. I hope to return!
