Miles of powder-white beaches hug the coast at Belle Mare, where championship golf courses, posh resorts, a family-friendly water park and abundant aquatic sports ensure activity-filled days. Deep-sea fishing for tuna, marlin and mako shark is especially popular in this eastern Mauritius enclave. Belle Mare also serves as a convenient base camp for a trek to 1,575-foot Lion Mountain, where sweeping views reward those who make the challenging hike to its peak.

The new Sunrise Attitude faces one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius at Belle Mare, located along the preserved east coast. It’s known for its miles of white sand and stunning turquoise lagoon. This new 4* hotel is reserved exclusively for adults and is a serene hideaway, taking design inspiration from the beautiful surroundings: the terracotta and mustard gold earth tones, the leaf green and glimpses of blue. Arrive and gaze over the ocean, which is just across the road, taking a deep breath of fresh, sea air. In addition to these seaside holiday pleasures, the plus are the beach service and his typically Mauritian cart in attendance on the beach, the Otentik Experiences offered as well as the serenity of the spa POZ. Last but not least, the new restaurant Kot Nou and its typically Mauritian cuisine!
From check in to check out, and everything In between, our stay was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, particularly Emmanuel and Vicky who always greeted us with a genuine welcome each day. There was always someone near to assist, but not in the helicopter way that’s grating after a while. It has all of the luxury, without the unnecessary pompousness. The food was the star of the show, undoubtedly the best I’ve ever eaten. The nearby beach is beautiful, great for sunbathing and snorkelling. 100% recommend and hope to be back!

Opened in 2011, it is an elegant and affable holiday resort featuring a unique blend of island chic architecture and tropical landscape. Its 255 rooms are harmoniously arranged in three semi-circles with wonderful views over the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon, the coral reef and the Indian Ocean beyond. Very friendly and helpful staff. Open toilet facilities was not helpful. Checkout the restaurant before you order. Not all the items are included, you have to pay if you choose certain items. Little bit confusing.

They personally came to our table and asked if everything was ok. Also our thanks to dining room staff Avinash, Neha n Kavish whom we looked forward to seeing with their smile n happy exchanges and staff at Reception for their assistance. We stayed at Solana Beach for the birthday of my wife and we were just blown away. Impeccable service from start to finish. The check-in experience was swift and we were welcome with a glass of champagne and some chocolate. This already set the tone for an unforgettable weekend. We were brought to our room and we were amazed by the beauty, cleanliness and the breathtaking view. The garden is just wow! Very well maintained, clean and so relaxing to dwell in. The pool is nice with a jacuzzi :) Food was very great and varied. Thank you also for the birthday cake served to us, a very nice gesture that we appreciated a lot. Service at the restaurant was top notch every time. Special thanks to Rakesh at the restaurant, Mackline, Dominique, Geraldine from reception, Chef Vikash, Poovalen, Uma & Veena from housekeeping, Ikbal who made sure we were well settled for dinner and in our room. There are so much more to name but everyone was perfect!!! Last but not least, a big thank you to the General Manager, Mr. Teelwah for all the little attention, the nice chats and ensured we had the best experience. Well done!!! We will surely come back again. This is the place to be!!!

Sparkling in warm Indian Ocean, on a private peninsula wrapped in ribbons of sand, One&Only Le Saint Geran is a vibrant tropical playground where the marvels of Mauritius are revealed in ultimate style. Holistic health among blooming gardens. Epic adventures through colourful towns, coral reefs, and wild parks. And an array of enchanting dining, over sparkling waters or feet submerged in sand.
We stayed in the One&Only Le Saint Geran resort in late May 2022 and found it to be excellent. We were there as a family with our 7 year old and 3 year old and were made to feel extremely welcome from the first minute we arrived. Our 3 year old son can't swim and Thomas and his lifeguard colleagues were excellent in helping keep him safe, not just in the pools but also when he was busy around the pools. The service generally was excellent, particularly Eric at La Pointe. All in all it was a wonderful 9 days and we would love to return in the future!

Fabulous relaxing stay in this wonderful hotel. Really beautiful location on a white sand beach fringed with coconut palms, offering a perfect combination of sun and shade for sunbathing. Plenty of sun beds for everyone and a lovely beach bar for drinks and food all day . Lovely contemporary style rooms overlooking the beach which are kept spotless by the house keeping staff. The whole hotel is beautifully designed and exceptionally clean & tidy . There is a really good choice of dishes at every meal, & the food is truly delicious, beautifully presented and individually served. Fabulous range of cocktails to try at the watering hole bar, especially the hotel’s own specialty infused rum! The really outstanding feature of this hotel however is the staff, they are all so friendly, the service is exceptional . You really feel that they are team from the General Manager down to the ground staff everyone says hello & remembers you. We thought it was amazing!

No cleanliness, dirty and cloudy pool, no breakfast was provided. Not welcoming staff. Dirty bathroom. I would highly discourage mauritians and tourists. The baby cribs are not frequently cleaned. Lots of noise at night.

What a delightful hotel! Off the beaten track, quiet and peaceful. Our comfortable, stylish, very spacious room (which the air conditioning managed to bring to a comfortable temperature without any problem) had an enormous window with fantastic view over the lake and a large, sheltered verandah looking over both the lake and the sumptuous gardens. There is a lovely swimming pool too. The hosts were very attentive. They prepared fresh breakfasts and offered us evening meals (delicious!) and went over and above what we could expect - not just directions for how to reach the village on foot but actually dropping us off there. It can be hard for taxi drivers to find; I suggest programming into Google maps and guiding them yourself.

I arrived on Saturday 30.10.2019. I had booked this at short notice as I was unable to keep my room for the last day of my holiday and needed somewhere to relax and get a shower. On arrival I was shown straight to my room that had everything I needed. If I was doing a budget holiday in Mauritius this hotel would have been perfect. The bed was comfortable and I managed to get a couple of hours sleep before the long flight home as I can’t sleep on a plane. Even though the shower was cold there was plenty of pressure for me to get a good shower. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the dining room on each floor On departure I was talking to the owner who told me that he does airport transfers for his customers at a fraction of the cost of a taxi.
