Pelican Point Sanctuary

87 Acres of diverse wetlands and dry lands with an amazing range of bird life. Our two lovely cottages, and three Californian villas are all self contained with fantastic views from all. We have separate laundry facilities and free WiFi. Wander around the property for a nature walk or take the bike lane into town on one of our bicycles. Try your hand at fishing in Georges River or down on Georges Bay without even leaving the premises. Better still just kick back and relax on your deck with a drink or two and then wander over to our BBQ area cook dinner and relax around the fire pit. Our property has 3 klms of bay frontage and is bordered by Georges river.

Very nice area

After a long drive it wasn't a friendly welcome to be advised of the strict 2.00pm check in and how we should have read the multiple pages of information provided. Our bad. However after returning at 2.00pm we were very pleased to be shown our accommodation for the overnight stay in the newer units which were well furnished with a deck out the back and lovely large glass sliding windows. There were free laundry facilities on site. The township of St Helens is a very short drive and worth a look.

Even better than the website says

Never before have I stayed somewhere or done something that lived up to or beyond the expectations set by the website. I even told my husband when we drove up, "look it probably won't be as good as I've said, but i'm sure we will enjoy it" Well, from the very first moment, the tour of the site, the entire site, the glamping tent, bathrooms, kitchen, campfires, people, food, vibe, pick your own fruit n veg, breakfast.... every single thing was thought of and just perfect. I had always wanted to go glamping and this set the bar amazingly high. I've travelled the world and this is in my faves. I'll come back to tassie just for this again.

The facility were sensational, I have never seen a camp kitchen so well maintained and resourced, but better than that there are two one indoor one outdoor. Top pick, happy to recommend to family and friends. Very accommodation for a fury family member.

Fantastic parmi

Reviewed By Ameliavanbasten

We came here while passing through St Helens. Got a couple parmi’s on a Thursday night, when they had their parmi specials ($18). It was the biggest parmi I have ever had, very tasty too! The interior is very basic and could tell it was a locals pub. But they had great pub food. Would recommend!

Comfortable for a one night stay

Reviewed By Kareen_j15

Our room was a bit run down and although it was clean, was in need of renovation. It was fine for a one night stay, and the external areas had clearly been painted recently, so given some of the other rooms look new, I would assume they are in the process of renovating all rooms. Checkin/out was super simple and there was parking directly outside our room, although lots of kids were riding their bikes and playing cricket next to the cars (there is a playground and grass area), so we were slightly worried about damage to the hire car given the smallish area!

Superb in every way

Reviewed By ANNER813

These apartments are superb. Perfectly located in the centre of town. The entire building is state of the art in terms of access, fitout etc. the apartments themselves are so welcoming. It was a cold winters evening when we arrived, but our host had thoughtfully turned on the lights and heating. It was wonderful. Beautiful bed and furnishings, bathroom and toiletries. A small well equipped kitchenette (supermarket next door) completes the facilities. Susie is an outstanding host, providing excellent pre-arrival instructions/information. . She also very kindly contacted us after we left to advise we had a left a phone charger, and then insisted on mailing it to us. An outstanding stay.
