The Oak Tree Inn consists of accommodation in rooms above the inn and in a series of on-site cottages. There is also a restaurant and bar, coffee shop & ice cream parlour and village shop. The Oak Tree is in Balmaha, a beautiful loch side village in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
Stayed here for one night while walking The West Highland Way. The staff were very welcoming, the room was very comfortable and the service and food in the restaurant was very good. Highly recommended - we'll be back!

My sister and I stayed in the Grouse which is one of the pet friendly ground floor apartments. The accommodation is outstanding well presented and clean and the hot tub was superb. We were looking for some lovely peace and quiet for a few days following a bereavement unfortunately that’s not what we got. The walls are very thin which meant that at night all I could hear was the two hot tub filter systems which were on the outside of my bedroom wall, which was so bad I tried sleeping on the couch in the living room but was defeated by the noise from the boiler. The room my sister was in was no better all she could hear was the boiler which is on the other side of the bedroom wall which also services the upstairs apartment kicking in throughout the night not to mention the expelaire in the bathroom anytime anyone used it and to top it all we could hear noise from the upstairs apartment. Having booked for 3 nights we persevered for two nights and exasperated we agreed to not to stay a third as we were more exhausted than when we arrived.

I hobbled in to the Birchwood after a bad fall on the West Highland Way. I was due to stay there, but I needed either a doctor or a trip to hospital first!! The owners drove me!!! All the way to Vale of Leven minor injuries 20+ miles away, wouldn’t accept anything from me towards it either!! When I eventually got back, I had a stay in an extremely comfortable room, a good nights sleep (leg excepted) and some lovely bacon sandwiches in the morning while waiting for onward transport. Can’t recommend highly enough!!!! I will definitely return when I come back to Balmaha to start the six days I still have left to walk!!!

We are a wee B&B at the shore of Loch Lomond, directly located at the WEST Highland Way in Balmaha set on the foot of the Conic Hill. We not only offer the perfect stop for a comfortable night during your journey, we also provide you with a lovely Scottish breakfast which keeps you going for a while. You can choose from 2 different types of rooms. The double room or double/single bunk for up to 3.
Had the pleasure of staying at the above b&b this week, Fiona our host was absolutely fantastic, such a lovely, warm, welcoming lady. The property is very clean and nothing was too much trouble, pay them a visit, you will not regret it.

Had a brill time here, perfect wee pod for two. Few beers & gins across the road in the local pub and fresh Sunday walk the following day. Was chilly and maybe should of turned out heater on before the gin. But over all 10/10
