My family and I holiday here every year (and have been for the past 4 years) and we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else! This trip has become our holiday tradition and the memories we have made here are deeply cherished. The town itself is so picturesque and close to many surrounding towns all worth exploring. But we spend most of our holiday on the farm, cooking BBQs with uninterrupted views of the bush, playing board games, and exploring the property. Deb and Brian are wonderful hosts and always treat our children with kindness, gentleness and respect. This place is a gem and we are so grateful for this yearly family tradition.

Surrounded by the rolling hills of Balingup and set on the banks on the Balingup Brook lies the stunning Jalbrook Estate. The premiere property has six superbly appointed, self-contained cottages, alpacas and beautiful parkland gardens. A covered entertaining area with a wood fire pizza oven, set inside the walled garden, is a popular socializing point for guests to gather and enjoy some pizza and local wine, weather permitting. Home to the Jalbrook Alpaca Knitwear Gallery.

We stayed at Blackwood Valley Suites for just one night, but wish we had have been able to stay longer. The incredible hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need; from a phone charging bed side lamp (and additional USB points), the most comfortable king sized bed you will ever sleep in, kitchen and bathroom amenities...even comfy chairs to just sit and enjoy the incredible view. We visited at Easter and had some special Easter chocolates waiting in the room. Nothing was too much for our hosts, Erwin and Brendan, they made us feel exceptionally welcome from the moment we made our booking.

Stayed for a couple of nights in the pavilion. Very clean and tidy. Wonderful to hear the birds and watch the trees in the breeze. So quiet and calming. We were welcomed upon arriving and then left alone - which is just perfect. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Absolutely loved our 4 night stay. Beautiful cottage, so comfortable, cozy and very clean it was spotless. Lila is a lovely host and the extra touches on arrival like homemade bread and marmalade, eggs, jug of milk and a vase of beautiful flowers made our stay that more memorable. Thank you Lila! Highly recommend a stay at Balinga for that country escape from suburbia in the most pretty cottage I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in.

We have just stayed 3 nights at Woodlands of Balingup (Jarrah Cottage), and enjoyed our stay. The fire was going when we arrived so the house was cosy. Plenty of wood left every day to keep the fire going strong. Everything is there, so just food and toiletries needed. Electric blankets on the 2 beds, and an oil heater was supplied. (I was glad we had taken another oil heater for the other room though), with this weather we are having. Peaceful place to stay. Ron took us for a tour of his marron hobbie farm on his buggy which was good. Would definitely stay again…thanks Ron.
