It's situated on the edge of hill, paragliding also available here, beautiful Palpung Sherabiling Monastery here.
Initially we thought its a small home-stay with small set up. But its well maintained big property with restaurant. Main advantage of this home-stay is that rooms are huge. compare to compact hotel rooms here rooms, bathroom is very big. also it is little away from village so its very peaceful and surrounded by many trees and greenery. There are mosquito at not because its surrounded by many trees but rooms are covered with mosquito net. It has ample parking and located perfectly on google map. Haven't used WiFi and restaurant so dont know about it. Overall i ll rate 4/5 for this property.

Located right across from the primary bus stand in the town, The Hosteller Bir features comfy rooms, a big open-air cafe, a hammock lounge, and a super friendly furry host. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a front desk, and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi. Each room has a balcony with mountain views. A continental breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. Guests can take part in various activities in the surroundings, including cycling, hiking, cafe hopping, and paragliding. Whether you are here for a day or two or more, The Hosteller makes sure YOU don’t miss anything. Our best picks from all the to-do lists in Bir are: explore the monasteries (Sherabling, Tsering Dzong, Chokling), trekking (Rajgundha), cycling adventures, checking out the local cafes (Silver Lining, Amma Cafe, etc.) and paragliding from Asia’s highest site.
My friends and I wanted to do a workcation in the hills since forever and when it came to accommodations, Hosteller was undoubtedly our first choice. Having heard so much about the place and it being sold out most days, we decided to book it well in advance. We stayed at Hosteller Bir for over a week and let me tell you, it was over and beyond our expectations. The place, the vibe and most importantly the hospitality made us feel so at home. It’s been over a week since we’re back but we truly miss our morning coffees, lounging at the hammocks, chit chat with the staff and fellow hostellers and most importantly, evening jamming sessions in the common area. Special mention to Peme for being the perfect hostess and Shiva for always going out of his way to make us feel welcome, plan our day, and make coffee whenever we asked for! We will never forget what the staff told us when we checked out “once you stay at Hosteller, it will always be your home” and I can say, they were right…♥️

Amidst the splendour and might of Dhauladhar stands the Taragarh Palace. Situated in the Kangra Valley, Taragarh Palace, Himachal Pradesh at a height of 1000 Metres and 60 KMs away from Dharamshala Airport, the palace is a haven for the lovers of peace and tranquility of nature. The palace offers majestic surroundings of Dhauladhar, lush green forests and tea gardens. Built as a Summer Resort by the Royal family of Jammu and Kashmir in 1951 and developed as a Heritage Hotel in 1971, the palace is now owned and managed by Mr. G P Acharya and family who are keen to run it as a Heritage Hotel after acquiring it from the Royal Family.’ Come, stay and take away the cherishing moments of a Royal Stay and warm hospitality
I visited palace recently . Explored the area looks cool place costly though the area surrounded with lush green garden a pool and bar good restaurant. Rooms are good but substandard, heritage property. Overpriced.

A place to relax detox and rejuvenate.
Loved the charm of this hotel. Does not give you the routine chain hotel vibe at all. The view of the snow clad Himalayas from the room balcony was serene. The restaurant was fantastic and staff was friendly and helpful. The best stay ever. The environment was pleasant and refreshing. Would highly recommend for travelers who prioritise relaxation and mountain freshness. Lots of love ❤️❤️❤️❤️

"Himaal" was born in 2015 when we met for the first time in our corporate job & connected over our common love for the mountains. Long story short a Delhi boy fell in love with a Nepali Girl thanks to the all mighty "Himalayas“. After dating for a whole month, we knew that we have to spend the rest of our lives together, so we got married & shortly after moved to Bir in search of our dream life in the mountains. Through some ups & downs we had our Son join us in our adventure in Himachal and here we are trying to make you a part of our journey. Hope you will like our efforts and get a taste of Nepal & The Himalayas in our humble abode.
Had a magical stay at himaal. Bhuvan and sharmila are super hosts and have paid special attention to each and every detail in the hote. rooms are well decorated and food is sooo good. Must visit this place in Bir :)

The only plus point of this hotel is the cleanliness. We were completely put off right from our first encounter with the reception. The person says sarcastically "abhi chahiye?" When we asked him to return our IDs, instead of simply saying " I'll return after taking a copy". We were the only guests and he seemed most disinterested and lethargic. Hospitality industry suffered a big blow because of the pandemic, but this hotel does not deserve any sympathy. We were tired and hungry and wanted to order food immediately, but the intercom was not working and they could not hear us. They did not even come to our room to enquire what we needed. We were so disgusted, just decided to go out and look for food elsewhere and all thanks to their behaviour, we discovered very good eating places. Unfortunately breakfast was included in the room cost and the food was pathetic. The parathas were really bad, even the next door dhaba served better parathas and kulchas. This is the only hotel which is so stingy in providing power points for charging. There were only two, above the bed centre of the wall. Don't they know charging phones on beds is a fire hazard? We discovered there are much better places to stay in the vicinity pricewise, viewise, location wise and above all hospitality wise.

I have visited Bir and stayed with the wonderful host and a beautiful place at bir. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. It was worth staying at hideout on new year. The party arrangements are awsome. The place is so serene and you will definitely get good positive vibes when u stay here. A highly recommended place for a hussle free and serene atmosphere.
