Great German Hospitality for the entire family
Reviewed By jenspeterj2018We stayed only one night. We were met by our car by a very friendly lady who helped us with our luggage and check in. It was all very very easy. The hotel is in very good order and all the staff are so friendly. We are definitely coming here again. The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Nice spacious bathrooms. Soft towels. The restaurant is super charming and again PERFECT and friendly service. You really feel like you are appreciated. The dinner was very reasonable and top notch quality food. Wow.

Fabulous Hotel With Stunning Views
Reviewed By charlie5milerWe stayed at the Hotel Neunfels for 6 nights in July. We were on an 18 day trip through Central Europe and I have to say that this is the best hotel we stayed in. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Heidy and Jurgen were great hosts. They were very knowledgeable about the local area but were also able to recommend us places further away such as places in Switzerland and Alsace to visit. I know that many people say good things about the breakfast but I must comment on that: it was the best breakfast I've ever had while travelling in Europe - and the view from the breakfast room was stunning. If we are ever in the area again we would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel. Fantastic. Charlie and Angela, UK

Parking is a nightmare, not enough parking places, scattered around, some on the street, some inside a yard, some around the corner- in the open and not guarded in any way, once you go out for the day- you might not have a place to park when you come back. You pay 10€ a day for this delight. The hotel suggested we parked our very expensive car in the nearby supermarket. Unbelievable. Check-in was extremely slow, but friendly, our room was at the very end of the hotel, lots of stairs on the way and no elevator. I found that hard . Room is ok, clean and basic, nice balcony, very small bathroom. The bed and pillows were very bad for me- super uncomfortable, and I slept really badly. The pool was small but clean, I was very unhappy to find all the buttons for the jet stream, jacuzzi ect. Did not work. Not even one! Also the Bar was closed- this is with a fully booked hotel on high season weekend . Very disappointing! Breakfast was nice (only the coffee wasn’t good), but it didn’t make me feel better about this hotel. We payed more than enough, but didn’t get our money’s worth.

The worst hotel experience I had in my life
Reviewed By LaurentiucalatorulI have traveled in 50 countries on 5 continents, but the experience in Ritter Hotel was the worst in my life. I have booked a double bed and the hotel had just twin beds. Because I asked for a double bed, they started to become extremely aggressive. The asked me "Have you ever been in a hotel before?" Finally, because I didn't wanted to totally destroy the Valentine's weekend I accepted to take the room that they have. The manager told me "If you don't like the room that we have you should go". So I had to beg for half an hour the manager, Mrs. Ganter to they give me a room, while the room was already paid.

Zen hotel with cute garden in spa town
Reviewed By NickK702Just had the most incredible stay at Hotel Balance. The interior design is funky with a mix of Buddhist, Eastern and Modern art. The rooms are great, the location perfect, the food incredible and loved the garden and little buddhas everywhere - felt at home and as one! The events space is also lovey for yoga or group activities that are organised time to time. Best of all, the owner Maria is an absolute legend!! She’s wonderful, helpful, friendly and she just loves her hotel, staff and all of us guests. She pays attention to the tiniest details and yet manages to engage and hang out if you want to or let’s you get on with your stay if that’s what you’re looking for. I can’t wait to go back and visit and my wife feels exactly the same. Thanks Maria.

Really nice restaurant in the middle of town

Definitely make reservations on the weekend as this popular place for both locals and visitors fills very quickly. Thankfully we were able to snag a table for dinner without a reservation but I would definitely make reservations on a return visit. As you can see from the photos the menu is fantastic with plenty of options for local and regional fish recipes too. Within walking distance of everything in town and still tucked away from the major road. The interior of the restaurant is decorated in the traditional style with antiques and custom draperies and lamps. The features of fresh flowers and candles on the tables gives a romantic and special feeling for your meal as well.

We really cannot find any aspect of the hotel which is lacking. The owners are perfectionists an attitude followed by all of the friendly staff. The hotel is immaculate and the food superb. We checked in as guests and left as friends.

The style being rather outdated. No balcony or veranda Apart from that, it was sparkling clean, the staff more or kess friendly and the location of the Hotel top, being in the middle of the village. One note on the restaurant - food was delicious!

We won’t be coming back
Reviewed By drjohn tOver cooked, over priced, over rated and the owner needs to get over himself. Steak at £30 should be cooked to order and French mustard should be available. Pudding was microwaved and soggy. The services was well below par and when we raised a small complaint the response was unprofessional and inadequate, a simple apology would have done, instead we received personal insults and a defensive attitude on how he knew it all and we had no idea.
