A 4-star hotel located in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, the Hotel des Dromonts by SOWELL COLLECTION - Avoriaz is a legendary address. Getting back to its roots, discover the warm and peppy colorful 60s style, with family or friends. Find in this mythical spot combining vintage style and modern comfort, that highlights the charm of the initial values of ski and winter sports, shared moments and wellbeing. Enjoy a ski-in, ski-out luxury holiday at the Hotel des Dromonts !
Booked 5 nights April, breakfast and dinners included. SOWELL email 2 weeks before they have closed kitchen, no dinners, will refund, £45 per person per night. The refund has still not come through. We were only allowed to book/use the spa/gym/hot-tub for 1 hour per day but they still sell to the public so most days we could not get any booking. Breakfast wwas good, staff really tred but they have no support from SOWELL and they were underresourced the whole week. Bar drinks could take 20mins, reception often empty, room was not cleaned on some days. This building is amazing, the locaiton is great but SOWELL have stolen the life from it and are now committing fraud but taking bookings and not being able to deliver. When am I getting my refund back? I have been emailed and asking for 3 weeks!

We stayed here 2 weeks in December and returned bringing our friends and their children in Easter 3 months later. We’ve stayed at L’Amara over 10 times but decided to try Atria in December and found the location better suited, plus we never ever used the facilities at L’Amara and felt wasteful going so often and paying a premium for them. The staff by email who assisted with our booking (trying to help us get apartments close to our friends) were incredibly helpful. So was the call Centre when I called from arrival to see which building we were in so we could make drop off easier. Our friends found reception staff the day we arrived appallingly rude. They didn’t have the correct bedding and the woman at reception actually laughed at her attempt to speak about it. They gave us 2 keys despite there being 3 adults (in an apartment advertised for 7 people) and when we requested more keys as our party were skiing at different times and one was injured we were told it’s not possible. Because they don’t have electronic keys (to easily cut more) and no key boxes to leave them in, we asked reception to keep a key behind. This was grudgingly done a few times but then we were told it couldn’t continue. This system of keys isn’t fit for purpose. I wrote an email to the manager who actually turned out to be very helpful, and to be honest his handling of it is the only reason we’ve booked again (with our friends - 2 2-bed apartments) rather than spend our money elsewhere. Between the 2 weeks at Christmas and 2 apartments at Easter we spent in the region of £9000 for self catering apartments where you make your own bed and get no cleaning or linen change. Not a cheap rental! Our next trip will be the last time we go if we’re treated the same way.

A car-free resort in the heart of “Les Portes du Soleil” ski area. Direct access on skisEntirely refurbished residence.
We have just returned from our hoilday;we stayed in one bedroom apartment as previously mentioned a bit on the small size, very little storage space, but all in all we managed, the biggest problem was we were on the 12 floor and bedroom had a window, over looked open stair way,bad design,so on more than one night we were woken between 12-3 by the noise of thoughtless people having loud conversations, not English, from people using stairs not sure if I would return to these apartments .

My wife, 3 year old daughter and I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with an amazing view. We’ve stayed at P&V residences before in Meribel and I’d say this was on par. People complaining need to remember this is a serviced apartment not a hotel so there’s a difference even with the 5* rating. We stayed in Sveta block and it was a trek via corridors and lifts around the complex but you get used to it. The bar area is nice enough although there’s a big tear in the pool table cloth making it unusable. Kids games area was average. The pool and wellness area was fantastic and we spent an hour there every afternoon. The water temperature was fine, not sure why people want it to be much hotter. Annoying that the jacuzzi is a bookable extra unlike Meribel where it’s free access. The bakery delivery service is a great addition which we took advantage of. On the whole an enjoyable stay and the staff were helpful when required. Don’t expect maid cleaning service like on a top hotel as it won’t happen. The boot room is decent and exits right onto a piste so is ski in/out although there’s a slope right by the door so can be very slippy. Avoriaz is a great ski resort with varied runs and lots bars/restaurants so something for everyone.

We stayed here for a week in early March 2020. Whilst the accommodation would be fine for a small family (3-4), it was a real squeeze for 7 burly blokes. That said, the quality was ok, if you imagine a bit better than butlins you'd be somewhere near. The apartment was very warm and it was nice to be able to ski from straight out of the ski locker. The location was fine, but be prepared for a lung busting ascent from the 'High Street' 2 streets down via the covered passgeway. There were escalators, but not all og them worked. The resort is a pleasant, if purpose built place, and has all that you need for a ski break.

We stayed for a week as a family of 5 with kids aged 17, 15 & 10. The staff were really attentive and helpful. We really felt at ease. The hotel is well designed and makes it for a really relaxing stay from the lovely breakfast in the morning, to the convient boot room means you can access the slopes straight away. The boys were able to be independent. Then after a day on the slopes it was perfect to have the pool and Sauna to retreat back and then relax in the lovely rooms or balcony. Perfect. Thankyou for a great stay.

The main terrace and most of the rooms at the Les Cimes Club Selection boast unbeatable panoramic views of the Alps. Located in the traditional old town of the Avoriaz resort, and at the very heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area (the 2nd biggest in Europe), you can ski in and out of this perfect, sun-kissed destination at 1800m.
Perfect location with ski in ski out, good ski room for storage with locks. Ski passes can be bought at the reception. Wonderful staff that will be missed! Restaurant has plenty of options and the quality was good. Room was clean and was cleaned daily. Amazing view of the village and mountain! Overall very happy with the stay. Staff being so nice was one of the best parts!

Fantastic doorstep skiing.Central lively location in the heart of "La Falaise". Panoramic views of the Morzine Valley.
Said we lost a key even though we didnt.. Now it has taken more than 3 weeks to get the money back. The reception does take care of it. Its absurd they steal the money and cant transfer them back even thought the admittet the mistake was theirs.. Dont use this place, you will regret it.

NEW! Animation! Car-free resort in the heart of “Les Portes du Soleil” ski area. Near the shop and direct access on skis.
First of all, we had to wait 1,5 hours ekstra to get the keys for the apartment, cause the cleaning staff was not finished. It was cold and we had all our luggage laying in the snow. When we got to the apartment, it looked like this. Never ever have I visited a place this nasty. Don’t ever go here. Right now I’m waiting on the second hour for them to do something about it.
