A peaceful town on the northern coast of Morocco, Asilah is a tranquil and beautiful destination on the Atlantic Coast. Offering a refuge from the nearby bustling cities of Tangier and Tetouan, Asilah features deserted, quiet beaches and a relaxing atmosphere. The town has Mediterranean-influenced buildings, including whitewashed houses with blue accents on walls and doors. Dar Mimouna, nested at the bottom of a discreet and quiet alley behind the ramparts of the medina of Asilah in the face of the sea, this riad opens on a flowery patio, compound of four big rooms with bathrooms privative with a big terrace in the face of the sea. This house was totally renovated .Pendant your stay, the hostess will be at your disposal to offer you the best service.
What a beautiful place Asilah is, and so glad we chose Dar Mimouna for our stay. The owners were helpful and attentive, keen to make sure we were met at one of the Medina gates and taken to the property so that we could check in our bags, have some mint tea and relax. Dinner was optional, at a time to suit us, (18 euro each for 3 courses) so we went for it - and what a good decision that was, having spent a tough afternoon wandering around the art galleries and shops of the Medina and watching the sun go down over the ocean from the well-appointed roof terrace. Faiza cooked us up some fantastic traditional fare: pastries, lamb tagine and a lovely dessert, served by the fire in the lounge (it still gets cold at night in February). We were asked what time we wanted to have breakfast in the morning - another lovely meal, no rush to check out and get going. Our room was spacious and comfortable (enormous sunken bath!), the entire house is beautifully and stylishly decorated. It felt very much like we were staying in someone's home. All in all a very pleasant place to be! Highly recommended

We stayed there on our last night. It is located on a quiet main road. Owners are very welcoming and accomodating. Rooms are clean and particular. No lift, however, owner was kind enough to take up our luggages. Good breakfast too.

I was travelling alone and stumbled upon this place thinking I might take a drink. I had the most wonderful welcome and got taken to a table by the pool. The menu looked good, so decided to try the seafood tagine. WOW. Honestly, the best tagine I have had. The seafood was so fresh and the calamari rings were incredible. A mixture of prawns, swordfish, white fish and squid. I got chatting to the owner whilst he was tending to the garden. He obviously takes a lot of care, the garden was so beautiful and he brought me fresh flowers for the table. I ended up spending the day there and relaxed by the pool and took a swim. I wish I had booked here instead of my apartment as it is difficult for a female solo traveller to find relaxed spaces to sunbathe and feel comfortable alone at the beach. The care, attention and hospitality at this hotel is 10/10. I loved the music too that came on early evening, they were getting ready for a birthday party on the terrace overlooking the sea, so nice, what a fantastic venue for a celebration! Alcohol is not served in this part of the hotel, or the restaurant which I thought was very respectful towards the local people. I would 100% book this hotel for a future visit to Asilah and I thank you so much to the owner Sharif and his staff for looking after me so well :)

We stayed here one night on our way to Marrakech, wish we slept in our car. Hotel was dated, smelt of damn, some places sewerage, fridge in room was unplugged and non existent, even fridge and freezer in hotel we were told didn't work. Kitchen was next to hotel toilets. Just did not look and feel clean. But the staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly.

Arnaque à Touristes, hygiène douteuse, verres sales, aucun prix ni menu affichés ni fournis, on comprend après avec leurs prix exorbitants, dommage car l'emplacement en face de la tour Al qamra est agréable. A éviter

A small, charming hotel, built with a subtle harmony of forms; a small peaceful corner by the sea. An inn for the traveler who is seeking calm and relaxation. Recently built according to the sober style and serene forms of the Arabic architecture, with nine rooms originally decorated so that they transmit calm and privacy; with welcoming rooms and terraces where to rest and recover the strength; a house with a family touch that tries to offer the traveler an unforgettable place and a reason to come back.
