although the car park is massive and we had to walk a good minute to get to the front... the receptionist was one of the nicest people we have ever come across when checking in. smiley, radiant and someone who you can definitely say is an advocate for Premier Inn. room was as standard and nothing was unclean or untidy, it was of ample size.

Visited with my husband, we both had the lamb shank & it was to die for! The young lady who looked after us was lovely, and the man in charge who showed us to our table & opened a window when he saw we were too warm was very attentive. Big shout out for the beer which is brewed on the premises too!

Friendly and a good place to stopover

Lovely welcome. Great breakfast. Bathroom was modern and fresh. The bedroom was quite dated but comfy (mattress was squeaky though) and functional. Well positioned - 10 mins to the centre of Ashby. We were initially only given 1 towel and a hand towel between 3 of us and only 2 mugs/water glasses. I’m sure more would have been offered had we asked. Owners were very helpful and friendly.

A family run hotel close to m42, East Midlands airport is approximately 20 minutes away by car. There are many local tourist attractions like Ashby Castle, Twycross zoo, Conkers, Snowdome and Drayton manor park WITHIN APPROX 1/2 HOUR DRIVE. We have two bars and a night club on site which are open every weekend until 2 am and open even later when we have special events on. Parking facilities are at the rear of the hotel or council run pay and display car parks can be used where there are security cameras.

To say this place is absolutely horrendous would be an understatement! I could not possibly list everything that was wrong with this place..!! But I think ( pubic hair, some kind of body fluid staining) is just the bed. A smell I can’t even describe and even faeces in the toilet to top it off couldn’t even sleep as from 12 till 3 am my room was shaking due to being above a nightclub!!!! The safety is not good in this hotel either or should I say hostel there are key codes for all of the doors which anyone could still have. Even a hostel should have the same cleanliness levels as anywhere else. Avoid this place like the plague it is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in in my life on leaving this place I actually feel violated my skin is crawling at the thought of it this place. it should and needs be shut down. This is where Covid came to die and not even Covid wanted to stay!!!!!!! I even think a homeless person would be offended being offered a bed in this place that is just how bad this place is! All I can say is read the reviews. Trading standards and environmental health definitely need to know about this place!!
