Reviewed By 39retepIts old it try's hard to catch up with the modern world but very superficial..........Hollywood style ! The experience was Ok but very ordinary not good value for money unless you are trying to impress someone ! Church bells start ringing at 7.00am.............for quite a while !

Attractive cities like Munich or Salzburg are only 40 min. away by car, Rosenheim you will reach in 20 min. You will find our hotel in the neighbourhood to Schloss Hohenaschau and opposite of Kampenwand-Bahn, the cable-car to our house mountain Kampenwand. After an exciting day in our beautiful region, you may finish your day in our wellness area with bio and finn sauna or red-light cabin. (available from december 2015 on). As we are a hotel only with breakfast, we are pleased to inform you about restaurants and Gasthäuser close by.
Close to gondola and city center
Reviewed By Jack1eHOur overnight stay at Hotel Hohenaschau was easy, affordable and efficient. We hiked to the top of the Kampenwand in search of the gondola. Although we didn’t find the gondola due to icy conditions at the top, we found comfortable beds, a wonderful dinner nearby and friendly conversation at the bar. Our room (125) had a kitchenette which supported our snacks although one could cook there. There is a snack machine downstairs and I believe you can order a simple breakfast although they do not have a restaurant. We would definitely go back as the service was friendly and the room clean.

berge is not quite normal. That's the great thing about it! In Aschau in Chiemgau, at the foot of the Kampenwand mountain, berge guesthouse awaits you with its unique charm. You shouldn't expect a classic hotel or seminar house when you take up quarters in berge - but a powerful place full of inspiring serenity, understated design, natural materials, real art and astounding attention to detail. Self-catering guests feel just as at home in the 16 individual holiday apartments as the conference groups or event guests.
A few tweaks and it could be perfect
Reviewed By caritsaThere was a lot that we liked at Berge. We liked the unique modern decor. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything was thought out and comfortable. What we didn’t like was the hard mattress on the bed. They only refreshed our room with towels once during our week stay, they didn’t change the sheets. We stayed in the Hohe Kammer room and loved the big window and the light .The room did get hot, but they gave us a fan and that seem to help get the air circulating and cooled down. The stairs in this apartment are pretty steep. The front desk is only manned a couple hours during the day. It might be a problem for some , but if you’re pretty independent it should be fine. One person working was helpful, another person working the front desk was always cold and unfriendly when we encountered her. The pros outweigh the cons and we would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area.

Almost perfect, but missing the last touch
Reviewed By angelthedevilWe spent 2 nights in the pension over the easter holidays and we actually were very happy staying there. Is a small, but very nice accommodation, a family business. We had a small apartment with bathroom and one bedroom. Was all perfectly clean and a good mixture between classic Bavarian style and modern equipment. There was nothing to complain about the room- they have prepared a small bed for the little one, though about everything. There was breakfast included- nothing special, but all you need. And this point is actually the one that costs the one point less- depends on the person who was serving the experience was completely different- something very nice, sometimes you have the feeling you are on the wrong place. At least for me, but not only after discussing with my wife and our friends - the final touch and the feeling you are really welcomed and you shall feel like at home was missing. Also the lack of reception and that you talk always to different people from those working in the hostel and cafeteria doesn’t really give you the feeling you have a contact person. I had the chance to talk to the boss - she is really nice person and was very prompt and responsive, but both times had the feeling was disturbing her for something, and it was rather me than her being the source of this. Was just like the service personal had to get her out of the kitchen or wherever she was. So all in all i must say the place is 1A and there is absolutely nothing to complain about. However if you like to have a bit more personal treatment and really feel welcome, maybe better search for another place. For those, who are interested only into the technical details of the accommodation- this is your place. Prices were ok- i think 150€/night for the apartment (breakfast included) is nit cheap, but having in mind it was easter and school holiday, i think is fair enough. Forgot to mention that is the perfect place for family with kids- there is huge playground and animals, many and different. Kids can feed them and play a bit with them. The view and the landscape around is wonderful as well and there are no big streets around- so basically only cars coming to the cafeteria. It is by the way a very popular daily trip as it offers huge number of cakes and is mentioned in many guide books.

Ho soggiornato con la famiglia in un bel appartamento mansardato, la location è davvero ottima: 3km da Aschau, 8km dall'autostrada Munchen-Salzburg, ma allo stesso tempo in un oasi di pace. Dietro la casa una montagna con un cascatella, davanti un ruscello che affluisce in un torrente, tutto intorno le montagne. Posto stupendo ed ospitalità super! A presto
