Hidden paradise, a beach into jungle
Reviewed By XiaolincitaA hidden paradise, around 3 hours from Quito. The owners are super kind, the food is traditional and gourmet. We are here during a holiday but there is not crowd or noise... Very relaxing place with a lot of activities (hikking in the jungle, birdwatching, games, enjoy the beach next to river, fire in the beach, movies atención open area, hammocks, free coffee and a lot more activities)... Lovely place!!!

Lovely lodge experience
Reviewed By monique2991We stayed here for three nights as part of our Ecuador trip and loved every minute of it. The food was sometimes simple but always really tasty and lots of it! The jungle walks were really interesting, the noises amazing, and we watched hummingbirds from the restaurant. All the staff were lovely and helpful too.

Reviewed By mariahdee1234Wow!! The Eco Lodge is fantastic. They really know what it means to be sustainable and comfortable! The have responsibile water system, work with local communities, and have a large re-forest project! You have access to a great river and the food is amazing!! The rooms are clean and the l linens are the freshest cleanest I have ever seen in a jungle. I could go on for hours about how good Pacha lodge is, but just do yourself a favor and book a room!

Perfect Vacation Destination
Reviewed By yakermaryFantastic place to stay. They updated the rooms and are modern and comfortable with hot water. Meals were prepared well and were delicious. They also updated the trails and easy access to the RIo MIshaulli. Pool was clean and COvid Protocols were in place. I enjoyed coming back here.

Reviewed By Dan CRiver Rafting People put myself and another guest up here for our 7 night kayak trip. Nice room, great service and food, with Hyman really taking care of us for the week. They speak little English here but one way or another you’ll all figure things out.

What an incredible place!

Brothers Alex and Tim along with their wives and parents attended to our every whim graciously and without hesitation. Raft, kayak, jungle tours, mtn bike, hike... totally incredible with nice cabins with private shower, a pool, game room with pool, foosball, a bar, and great food!!

Palmar del Rio Premium Hotel is in Archidona, at the entrance of the Ecuadorian Amazon. It has an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a restaurant serving 2 types of breakfast. It also organizes trips to caves and riverside walks. The property has a tour desk that organizes hiking, biking and rafting, boat trips and excursions to caves and waterfalls. The accommodation is a 5 minute drive to several restaurants, 6 km to "El Arca" Zoo and less than 3 minutes "Jumandy" Caverns. It is also a short walk from the central square of the city, where you can taste typical dishes. The Hotel has the advantage of being in a suitably remote town site allowing more privacy and relaxation tourists without diminishing the proximity to all the tourist attractions of the city such as tour in Misahualli, the city of Tena, Amazon Park or natural resorts like the "Laguna Azul".
Convenient and comfortable choice in Archidona
Reviewed By dmptravelsWe stayed here on two different nights (not in a row) so we were in two different rooms. First night was on the top floor, in a corner room which was very large. No TV, so it was cheaper, but this worked well for us since we didn't want a TV anyway. I believe we paid $30 total. We took a picture of the view from the window in the morning, which was very nice. Beds were decent, shower was OK. No AC, but fan was sufficient. No screens on windows, but there weren't too many bugs on the top floor. On the other night, we stayed in a room on the ground floor. This was a bit noiser and was much smaller, but the bed was comfortable and shower was better. It did have a TV, so it cost more, and seemed slightly nicer overall even though there was no view. Breakfast was decent (eggs, toast, other side dish, fruit, juice, coffee/tea) and it's walking distance to various shops and restaurants in Archidona. Also about 15 min walk to the river which has great swimming. Overall, if you need/want to stay in Archidona, this place works out fine, though there is nothing special about this hotel. Management was friendly, and it felt safe.

Pleasant surprise
Reviewed By MEPSTLWe arrived here at 10pm with no reservation after 5 hours on the road from Lago Agrios. The hotel doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the inside is quite nice. Clean and well-maintained, friendly, helpful staff, a lovely pool deck with a beautiful view, and a delicious breakfast. The room was simple but perfectly adequate. We were grateful for hot water & wi-fi. :)
