TOP12 is a new hotel in Lalibela, with, as the name says it, 12 rooms, bathrooms en-suite and balconies, from where you have a breathtaking view all over the valley and the mountains, especially impressive for sunset. Rooms and bathrooms meet absolutely Western standards but still have the traditional Ethiopian style.
Great hotel with perfect location and view
Reviewed By MsHaslundI visited Top Twelve Hotel in Lalibela for a quick weekend trip to visit the Lalibela churches. This hotel was really great. The room was spacious and comfortable, and with the most amazing view from the large balcony. The staff was friendly and service-minded, and it was such a treat to have breakfast served outside right on the cliff-side with the spectacular view of the Lalibela surroundings. Can definitely recommend.

Bed and breakfast in a nice and central quarter of Bahir Dar. The house has a nice garden. Our place is ideal to relax and watch the birds. Our rooms are simple but confortable.
Great friendly guesthouse
Reviewed By SecretStreetsThis is a guesthouse, not a hotel, so rooms are cozy and fairly basic. But a really comfortable bed and a decent bathroom is all you need. Breakfast is great and varied - they'll even offer waffles if you want. Staff are universally friendly and helpful. They organised a lake tour for me which went perfectly. Only slight problem is the location which, though close to the lake, is on an unlit minor street. As they offer only breakfast, this means a walk in darkness to find dinner. Safe but making sure to avoid potholes and not getting lost may be challenging for some.

Reviewed By Heidi TThis hotel has great outdoors area for enjoying coffee, drinks or food. WiFi is amazing both in the lobby and rooms. Even streaming via VPN works. Breakfast is traditional Ethiopian, so a bit difficult for Europeans to find food. Rooms are average condition.

Excellent resort hotel
Reviewed By 67mulugetatI stayed at this resort hotel at the end of April for 2 days. I was truly impressed with the view and scenery as well as the amenities. The rooms were spacious and well illuminated with a good view of the surrounding areas. Water supply and the shower were excellent. I never expected anything like this. I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting the city of Gondar without any reservations. I was truly impressed.

We have modern, spacious single, double and twin rooms with hot showers, comfortable beds and large verandas. We are located within walking distance of 15 minutes to the Southern group of churches and 20 minutes to the Northern group of churches and offer daily shuttles from Lalibela Airport (about 35 minutes by car).What makes our lodge unique are its location and the breathe-taking view. All rooms have two large verandas facing towards east and west from where our guests can see Lalibela’s biggest mountain, “Asheten Mariam”, and watch the sunrise as well as the sunset.
Amazing place to stay
Reviewed By pa0l0terziWe, my wife and me, stayed at Sora lodge for 4 days at the end of April 2022. Really an amazing place to stay, maybe the best place we’ve enjoyed in Ethiopia during our three weeks holiday. They have a generator as long as the power plant central of Lalibela has been destroyed during conflict (this is the only thing that will remind you that there were a war in the country) everything is safe and Lalibela archeological site is really a dream. We recommend our guide Alex (mobile and WhatsApp +251 92 262 7352) he is very prepared and know each hidden corner of Lalibela and surrounding sites. Sora lodge has also a very good restaurant with a really nice views. Don’t book tuctuc at the reception because prices will be more than double: walk 3 minutes up to the main road and catch a tuctuc there. Ethiopia need tourism start again, we’ve travelled all over the country without any problem everything is safe!

Our rooms were clean and comfortable; bathrooms have hot water. We fell in love with the Qwanta fir fir!-great Macchiato too. Location ideal for Airport and Lake Tana.
