Reviewed By 313krisanbUpon arrival the check in process was very easy. We appreciated the contactless check in process. Our room is small but very clean. We did not understand the need for two different remotes to control the TV…..one changed channels and the other controlled the volume. We would have liked a third pillow on the bed also. Overall everything was good except….. Cold…..walked into the room and it was very cold. We found the heat turned off in the room. It was not turned down to a low setting but completely turned off. All the surfaces was cold. According to the app on my phone it was 56 degrees in the room. We turned on the heat….and waited. The heat register became “warm” after a while. It took six hours for it to reach 68 degrees in the room. I don’t know why the heat was off upon our arrival. Maybe previous occupant turned it off and housekeeping didn’t notice or the owners are trying to conserve energy…..All we know is we were cold most of the time we were here. Our suggestion is for the owners to check to see the heat is on a least a few hours before checkin and for guests to bring warm clothes if this is a standard practice. We would stay again but knowing to request the heat be checked prior to our arrival.

Reviewed By jekbergThis motel is just steps from the lake the view is amazing! Room had a nice patio, with chairs. There is a fire pit by the beach with chairs. The room itself was nothing great, outdated and the patio would not close tightly. The room clean and well kept. The closeness to the water and crashing of the waves is amazing

Reviewed By kesjostRoom was okay! Very humid in room so we slept in 60 degree rooms to keep humidity out! Bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way... Also there were dead bugs on the ceiling. Other than that staff was friendly and overall the rooms were decently clean.

The Scenic Shore Inn is a two-story motel overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan. We have very clean and spacious rooms with queen sized beds and refrigerators. Of the thirteen rooms, one is handicap accessible and two are smoking rooms. We are located south of town on Highway 42, just a short drive from Door County and Green Bay.

Reviewed By WIWeezyI admit, as a Lifetime Diamond Member with Hilton, I’m a hotel snob! Whenever I come across little towns that don’t have a name brand chain, I cringe. And “motels” yikes! BUT - I gotta give props to the Scenic Shores Inn. The two must haves when I’m desperate are clean AND plenty of outlets. Scenic Shores blew us away. Conveniently located for charter fishing trips out of Algoma. You can back the car right up to your room door. SUPER CLEAN; several trash cars (and recycling bin) in the room; AND 4 electric outlets & 2 USB ports behind the nightstand. Although we didn’t use, we did check out the heated pool w/sauna; the back deck with picnic tables and a grill and multiple outdoor chairs. Friendly, helpful staff has coffee, tea etc in the lobby and lots of movie videos. We already booked for another fishing trip in August AND it’s close enough to Door County that we’ll swing up there for a day too!
