The property is beautiful on the outside but the rooms are in need of renovations. Had delays checking in and the property lacked the basic available amenities. Property appeared to be understaffed. I wasted my points on this stay. Definitely not the Home 2 Suites quality I’m accustomed to.

We were a late arrival last night. We waited for a little while to check-in. Keys didn’t work for room. Went back down, receptionist came up with manual key and let us in and said he’d go back for new card keys. We entered room to find toilet TERRIBLY soiled. Urine all over back of lid, dripping down underside of seat and around bowl rim. We went down requested new room- no apology, but moved to a new room. New room had clean toilet, but stained carpeting (as did 1st room), no light bulbs in 2 lamps, moldy shower curtain, badly chipped walls, sticky window sill, and stains on the curtains. Bed was made neatly, but when opened, sheets were wrinkled where someone would lay and could have looked slept in (plus a hair on the sheet). We’re a family of 3, and there were only 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and ONE washcloth in the room. On the bright side, the lobby and the hallways were beautiful and looked clean, as did the pool. Breakfast consisted of sausage patties, biscuits, sausage gravy, waffles, yogurt, and some bread/bagels. The utensil cups had lots of crumbs and dirt in the bottom —my husband refused to use any utensils because of it. The 3 fruit bowls (2 empty) contained 1 overripe banana and 2 oranges and also had lots of crumbs in the bottom. FYI, we were the first ones there at 7:00am, so it was not from overuse. Labels on the serving pieces indicated there also should have been eggs, bacon, and blueberry muffins, but none were available. Also, the syrup was in an unlabeled gallon jug (like a vinegar bottle), and tasted very different. We all threw out our waffles. My husband went to wash hands in the lobby bathroom, and the sink didn’t work and neither did the soap dispenser. He rinsed hands in the water fountain and then tried the hand sanitizer pump by the breakfast room— this also didn’t work. Overall, we would NOT stay here again and would likely avoid Comfort Suites in the future. It’s sad as the room was a great, large size, and with good housekeeping, it would have great potential.

4 story hotel Location – good dining near by Lobby appeared upscale & clean – same for breakfast area Elevator was shutdown because of storm in the area which meant all luggage had to be carried up the fire escapes ! We are seniors in our 70's and the hotel staff did not care that we had been inconvienced by having to carry our luggage to our room ! Room : Good size room Very dirty – had to have house keeping clean toilet ! Vanity mirror covered in streaks – obviously had not been cleaned ! Ground fault electrical outlet could no be reset – thus no power in bathroom ! Had to have it replaced next day ... Both bulbs in lamp on night table were blown ! Refrigerator cooling fins were covered with ice ! How well will that cool ? Carpet was dirty with kleenex fragments, etc Batteries leaking in clock on night table Internet : Outstanding – 230 mbps down, 147 mbps up at 5:15 pm However it appears to drop the internet connection frequently ? Breakfast : no hot breakfast ! - first hotel in 3 mths of my travels that had no hot breakfast ! Their excuse was because of the pandemic laws in Louisiana... If that was the case, how is it that other hotels in Louisiana are serving a hot breakfast ? Ex. - Drury Inns in Baton Rouge Their other excuse was that Marriot Hotels breakfast guidelines/rules did not permit hot breakfast items at this time. Once again this excuse did not fly as many other Marriot Hotels that I recently stayed at were serving a hot breakfast ! There are no legitimate excuses, JUST CHEAP, CHEAP ! Summary : We did not get our ground floor room ! Again ! Appararently the ground floor is reserved for King beds and not for double queens ! This should be communicated on the booking site ! Front desk made no effort to somehow compensate us for the room and breakfast issues ! Everything in this hotel is WRONG ! We Have decided to stop booking Marriot Hotels !

This hotel is listed as 4 stars. What a huge lie. While the historic bones of the building (lobby etc) are beautiful, the guest rooms are so so dated and borderline disgusting. I contemplated switching mid visit. ONE hotel employee on site. ??

Not a comfortable stay other than a great breakfast. The hotel amenities appear to be in disrepair or repaired in a temporary or careless fashion. My room just felt dirty and uncomfortable. Most of the staff were very courteous and helpful, but there is always that one member that should seek employment in another field.

We only stay at IHG properties when we travel. Our reason for that is their usual standard of cleanliness and maintenance on their buildings. We stayed at this downtown location and were pleased yet disappointed in a couple of things at the same time. Negatives: Upon arrival we immediately noticed only 1 elevator was working. It is Mardi Gras weekend and there was also a football convention at the hotel. Needless to say, the elevator was in hot demand! But no big deal, we have no reason to rush anyway. Second, after being in our room for about an hour we began noticing roaches, several little roaches scuttling about in various places in the room. So we decided to try our luck in another room. We were very disappointed as that has never happened to us at an IHG location before. Positives: The saving grace for the hotel was the staff. I was HIGHLY impressed at the attitude, hospitality, and accommodating attitudes of every staff member. If they had a Holiday Inn shirt on, you better believe they were going to ask you how your day was going, how you were doing, and then tell you good morning! Mrs. Wanda at the front desk didn't even bat an eye when we asked to be moved to another room because of the roaches, she was truly service with a smile!! Everyone who was working on the night of 2/25/22 needs a commendation from their supervisor! They were all excellent! Among a hotel lobby full of demanding impatient guests, they all kept on hustling with a smile! Great job staff! The staff was clearly aware of any issues that were taking place in the hotel, so I'm confident the property will be brought back up to the usual IHG standard before we make our return next time.

Not right off the main highway, so a little difficult to find. You can tell that a lot of people working in the area stay here by all the company trucks in the lot. Staff was friendly. Pet-friendly room was clean and in decent shape.

Stayed here for a week while attending a family funeral. No problems or issues with hotel or staff. All were awesome, friendly and accommodating for us. The location is ok, but it can be busy at times. Breakfast is available but not free, and Starbucks for those who like that.
