Reviewed By jackiemR5717XDThis hotel was an overnight stop on our way to the Black Hills in South Dakota. It was a great stay! We stopped again on our way back home because it was reasonable and clean. It was very convenient right off I-90, and we felt safe with a well lit parking lot. There was a McDonalds and Applebees within walking distance and gas stations close!

Reviewed By David HProperty was well kept and rooms were comfortable. Easy access to the interstate, several restaurants and businesses. Staff was friendly and helpful. I did not use the pool or exercise facility but they do have both on site.

Cheap, but not clean and bad customer service.
Reviewed By ahoneycutt1326The man who checked us in was great, he was professional, polite, and friendly. However, that is where the good things end with this stay. The overnight girl was rude and unprofessional. She first had a friend visiting with her at the front desk and they were loudly discussing the dramas of their personal lives. My mother is in a wheelchair with a broken leg, and I asked where the elevator was. Granted, I should have thought ahead to ask about this before my mother arrived, as they have accessible rooms on the first floor. What wasn't good is that when I asked the front desk girl where the elevator was she was very short with us and used a rude tone that implied "Are you and idiot or something?" She was not at all understanding and was very callous, told us we had no options, and then turned on her heel and disappeared to the back room. We spent the next 30 minutes pulling my mom out of her wheelchair, and shimmying her up a flight of stairs. On top of this, the room was not cleaned thoroughly (greasy fingerprints on the mirrors, hair in the shower and by the sink, etc). Overall this left a bad taste in my mouth, but if you are looking for something cheap at the expense of cleanliness and customer service, this is the hotel for you.

Overpriced and a few other issues
Reviewed By W1659QQdanielrWe made this reservation at the last minute so the price might have reflected that, but $200 for a room at this hotel seemed way too high. The bed was comfortable enough and the desk person was very friendly and professional, but the rest of the experience didn't live up to a $200 price tag. My main complaint is the huge ashtrays right outside the entrance door, meaning non-smoking guests have to walk past smokers to get inside. And this hotel seemed to attract a lot of smokers, not sure why, but the ashtrays were packed. Our room looked out over a huge truck stop, with big rigs parked just feet away. We had to turn the fan on high to cut out the noise. The exercise room was very compact, with little room to do anything but use the two machines squeezed into it. And for some reason, it doesn't open until 9 a.m. Most people want to work out when they get up, or at least I do. Luckily the friendly desk attendant let me into the gym early. We didn't use the pool or eat the breakfast, but they looked like pretty common fare that you see off of most highway exits. There are several other hotels here, and if we ever came through again we'd look for something that gives us more bang for the buck.

Amazing front desk worker saved the night!
Reviewed By runnerwittIf it weren't for the amazing customer service of the front desk worker, Donna or Dawn, I would have rated this terrible. I asked for a quiet top-floor room, but when I got to my non-smoking room it smelled like smoke. On top of that, there were a group of very loud Mexican workers who were cooking (with the door wide open and an extension cord coming in from the hallway) in the room next to mine so that the hallway smelled and sounded like a Tijuana barrio. I am not sure why the manager would allow this; it seems like a health code violation. When I went to complain, she upgraded me to a quiet room away from the fiesta. I had a quiet, good-night sleep. The man at the front desk the night morning was very polite, too.

Dirty floors, slippery showers
Reviewed By JillinMIThe vinyl floor was so grungy that after 5-10 minutes of post-shower walking around (I forgot my slippers), I had to wash my feet again. The wash cloth I used to do so was dark gray when I was done. The shower floor was super slippery -- to the point that I held on to the grab bar the entire time and still slipped every time I moved my feet.

So Bad!!!
Reviewed By 356kerihThis is the worst hotel stay we have ever had! There is at least a one inch gap under the door to our room! It is very small and very worn down. It was supposed to be a non smoking room but it smelled very strongly of smoke...and had an ashtray in the room! It needs to be completely remodeled. I do not recommend staying here. Sorry.
