Seems to be a wooden old house, but the access to the room and the stairs are best isolated against path-noise. Never heart anyone going in the night. Even its a winter destination, the summer season doesn't have less quality. Even for one night we got half pension to out saison prize. Looks warm, fine and comfotable - and is so!

Reviewed By Paul CWe had a room with kitchenette in the annex. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with lovely views and a pleasant balcony. We were warmly received. The hotel speak english. We had chosen the hotel because we had eaten there before. The food was a delight. Buffet breakfast was very good with a wide selection of good quality items. Dinners were superb. The food is obviously freshly prepared and of a high quality. The service was always prompt and friendly. Do not eat lunch because you will never manage dinner if you do. The Tartiflette is magnificent. The hotel prepared cured meats are wonderful. They even have chocolate mousse every night as a desert!! The swimming pool is good. If it should rain you can get to the main hotel from the annex by tunnel.

Service with a smile 11 out of 10 . Don't expect fancy place but very very warm and cute which is by far more pleasant to stay. Reach Breakfast

Reviewed By Voyager779595The pizzas in this place were delicious. We were 13 people looking for an evening meal, we booked ahead and once we arrived were given a private dining room at the back. We were therefore able to have a lot of fun without disturbing other diners.

Budget hotel in a good location
Reviewed By Fozzy035We stayed in the hotel for a brief three night stay for skiing. The hotel is in a good location close to town and with a bus stop outside for the ski shuttle service. The bedrooms are a bit dated and in need of modernisation and the bathrooms small, but the price reflects this. Continental breakfast was adequate with cereals, bread, croissants, ham, cheese and yoghurts with plenty of coffee. The staff, particularly the owner were friendly and extremely helpful.

IN summer about 650 km of hiking trails await here for you. High peaks, lovely valleys and breathtaking meadows where the Abondance cows stroll with large bells around their necks. Everything is possible here. For the `less sportive´ guests, Esprit Montagne hotel is also a great place to stay. In the Vallée d'Abondance, "the Valley of Abundance", you can enjoy the French gastronomy, AOC cheeses and the pearls of the Alps: its wines. Ancient abbeys, churches and museums in the Valley reveal their secrets, and then the medieval castles and villages on Lake Geneva allow you a very different view of the surroundings.

Reviewed By hogenboom68Warm welcome by The owner. Hospitality is written in his gene’s. Healthy and orginAl menu’s, great coffee, bfast. Great place to stay close to the ‘action’ of Chatel and pistes (to Avoriaz). 1,5 hours drive from Geneva airport with plenty of parkingspace. Cosy lounge area with plenty of books to read or drink a good glass of wine (very decent Merlot house red!) Sauna, TV room with the Dutch and foreign channels. Nice cosy rooms with brand new bathrooms (I love the rainshower!) wifi needs a boost! Competitive pricing. We will be back!

Cozy and convenient
Reviewed By Lisa MWe had a wonderful stay here over the New Year. It was the perfect home base for our ski vacation. Our room was small but comfortable, and our balcony had a beautiful view. The shuttle to the ski hill stops directly outside the hotel, which made it easy to get to and from the slopes. The hotel restaurant was a highlight for us as well - many nights we opted for the set menu there and were never disappointed. The food was always delicious! We found all the staff very friendly and welcoming, and we would absolutely recommend this hotel!
