High recommend for this Hostel. Spent my 65 lockdown days between March and May. Superb service. Rooms super cleans. Toilets and shower shining and the breakfast downstairs is so delicious. At reception you gonna meet Micheal who's gonna solve all of your problems and requests. He also prepare so tasties fruit shake and cocktails. I will come back.

Near the center of town, close to all that Vang Vieng has to offer. English speaking staff, Wi-Fi, Air Conditioning (optional), Dorms, triple rooms, etc. Just tell the tuk-tuk driver "chill Lao" and you will be on your way.
It was a very good choice to stay in Chillao in Vang Vieng. The staff was very passionate, nice and friendly. Good location (close to the city center and night market) and good price. Our room was comfortable and clean. Worth recommending.

FARAWAY SUITES is offering luxerous double rooms and spacious dorms in the center of Vang Vieng village. The property is located in a quite street just 200m from the Namsong river and the tubing office. We are just 5 minutes walk from SAKURA and the VANG VIENG bus station. All the rooms are forseen of a balcony with spectactulair view on the mountains and are all fitted with luxerous 5 star bedding
The staff are polite and friendly and the hotel in general is quite clean. WiFi is a bit hit and miss but enough to get by. Stairs to get to the private rooms on the third floor are certainly not a deal breaker, but may not be ideal for people who have difficulty with them. The rooms, for the price, are fantastic. They are new, quite, spacious and quite modern but the room was a little dusty but I put that down to low occupancy over covid. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms, while not separating the toilet and shower, are ok with good water pressure and hot water. The only negative, travelling with a young child, is the downstairs pool/bar/restaurant area that is not really well ventilated and cigarette smoke lingers pretty bad. Wouldn't have minded it so much when travelling without kids but something to be aware of with kids. All in all, very satisfied with our stay so far and hard to see me looking elsewhere in the future when returning to Vang Vieng.

In Army Barracks Hostel, you will find different experiences from the others similar-hostels nearby. Its decoration like you are in a Army Barrack. Every room has A/C, windows and soft mattress. Before opening the hostel, the owner also runs a famous restaurant in Vientiane, so he knows how to satisfy you and your stomach with the quality meals. There is Karaoke room for you to show how good you are in singing with you new friends. Every weekend is the time for movies to be shown at the lobby. Free breakfast, free whiskey and free vodka-shake in happy hour will definitely make you happy.
Had a comfortable stay for 3 nights. Located on the main road and very close to the walking streets for the night market. We booked a double room with private bathroom, and also got a small balcony as we had the end room. The room was clean enough and had A/C and fan, not much else included. The blanket on the bed in a bit small but other than that can't complain. Breakfast was a nice addition as there were plenty of options. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially they helped us to book our bus to Vientiane . Had to pay at hotel, but they have the option to pay by card (3% fee added) if required. Internet was ok, though was a little slow at times.

I arrived late into Vang Vieng with heavy rain and decided to try this centrally placed hotel on the main street. The room was very basic and was situated on the ground floor with very high ceilings. The location is very central and so handy to the restaurants and bars in town. It would have been tolerable except for the smell from the bathroom. During the night I had to place a t shirt under my nose when visiting the bathroom and then I dry reached. Disgusting really and I was not hungry for the breakfast provided in the morning. However the staff were quite helpful but for $27 AUD it wasn't overly cheap compared to the many other popular guesthouses. Maybe I was unlucky but based on my experience I would not recommend this hotel.

I visited in Feb 2020 and was supposed to stay for 3 nights. When I arrived the pool was green. Not just a bit scummy - fully green. I was told that it would be fixed soon. I was told my room number but not given a key. I was informed that they don’t use keys at Nana and just to walk into the room - very secure! There was a very loud metal box to store your valuables. I tried to avoid using this at night as it was so loud. My bedside light didn’t work. The sheets were dirty. The toilets and showers were fairly clean. When I asked for a can of lemonade at the bar the bartender rubbed the can all over his neck before handing it to me - very odd and unhygienic. There is very cheap vodka and whiskey available and they apparently do very good tubing tours. Funnily enough, I did not attend. If you are up for getting completely wasted and partying all day and night then this is probably the place for you. For anything else I would AVOID. I left after two nights.

Formerly Khamtavee Guesthouse. Nok et Mika is run by a French and Lao couple and is based near the centre of town on the beautiful Nam Song River. We have dorms, single rooms, doubles and a family room. We pride ourselves on our friendly service and hospitality.
AVOID THIS PLACE ! We were chocked by this guesthouse and his owner. We’re not complicated people but this place was AWFUL ! The bed was full of BED BUGS so we didn’t want to sleep in this room. The bedsheets were dirty ! We wanted to find a solution for the night with the owner but he started to shout and was so agressive, never seen that, even violent : he was drunk. Completely mad ! He said that he has no solution he forced us to leave...
