From the storybook villages and dizzying peaks of the Swiss Alps to the lakeside resorts of Geneva and Lucerne, landlocked Switzerland serves up some of Europe’s most enchanting scenery (along with some of its most delicious cheeses and chocolates, too).

Interlaken is a town with international flair. The unique location of the youth hostel next door to Interlaken-Ost Railway Station and at the foot of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains offers boundless pleasure for adventurous guests. A train journey up to Jungfraujoch is one of the highlights of a trip through Switzerland. Jungfraujoch also boasts the highest railway station in Europe - at an altitude of 3,454 metres in a high-alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock. The extensive ski areas with over 200 kilometres of pistes are also very popular in winter.
I have to say this is a world class youth hostel. Beautiful rooms. Ensuite availa Le. Clean. Smart Modern. Friendly. Good access via train to eiger. Great food and some of the best red wine I e ever had. A fabulous family holiday

The world meets up at Zurich Youth Hostel. A versatile place with the right offer for every guest, whether backpackers, families or groups. The Zurich Youth Hostel became one of the most modern of the world- open round the clock, so you can really get to know Zurich, the little city on a global scale. The hostel has a roomy entrance hall and a spacious inner courtyard for the international globe-trotting community to meet good cuisine, comfortable rooms in a quiet city location close to the lake.
Stayed for 3 nights on an interrailing trip with my Fiancé. We absolutely loved it! We had a private double room which used the shared bathrooms. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfy, very clean, so happy that the windows locked open so we could get air throughout the night. Bathrooms and showers so clean and hot water too! The breakfast was super nice, variety of things. Staff so so helpful and friendly. The washing machines were kind of pricey but not out of the ordinary in Zurich. There is a bus stop outside, a tram 3 mins down the road, next to a supermarket, lots of scooters and bikes to hire right outside and the train at the bottom of the hill straight to the station. Definitely recommend!!

Geneva Hostel enjoys a central location in Geneva and is in a historic building from the 19th century. It features free Wi-Fi and a restaurant serving Swiss cuisine in the evenings. Lake Geneva is only 800 ft away.
During a recent stay at the Geneva Hostel, I was robbed of my wallet by a fellow (Slovak) guest in my room. The individual involved went through some stuff I had near my bed early morning. I heard some noise but didn't wake up in time (as I was extremely tired). He took about 50 euros in all (fortunately, I had kept my other belongings safe). I went immediately to Reception (who were only mildly sympathetic) and they directed me to the police station on Rue de Berne, but the police there weren't interested and told me to come back the next day, so it was a complete waste of time. AVOID GENEVA HOSEL AT ALL COSTS UNTIL THE SECURITY IS IMPROVED! The lockers are outside the room and if the thief takes your card, he will take your stuff too. Lockers in the room with key codes would be much better. The Slovak national who robbed me also paid in cash to leave fewer trails - guests should have to pay by card in the future.

Come there. It is worth it .. Real like the mountains, easy like Sundays and exciting like the Eiger north face: Welcome to the Eiger Lodge. Arrive. And stay. Because we offer what you are looking for: whether sociable rooms for groups or cozy rooms for those looking for peace and quiet. Come along. Into the mountains, into adventure: First we provide you with regional delicacies, then you look for space - on peaks, paths or our bar and grill area. Particularly good: Our lodge is located directly on the new Eiger Express train. We look forward to you!
It was very loud during the night - there were people partying despite signs to be quiet after 10 pm. Staff didn’t care much about noise. In my opinion COVID precautions were not sufficient, too many people without masks in the public spaces of the property. There is to mention the very good breakfast for the price and the good location close to the Terminal to get up to the skiing area.

I stayed in this place because a friend of mine has reserved it for me by the time I can go to the airport and take my flight back home. Please stay away! I would not pay a single penny for staying in that horrible place. The atmosphere resembles a jail. The reception treats the people inside like they should be happy to have some place to sleep. The items in the hotel are broken - sofa, bedsheets, sink... :-( I really had such a bad impression because knowing the price it really was not worth it at all. I had to check in in two - three rooms until the bedsheets where not dirty and still I found dirt on them and even on the walls. :-( the sink was broken and so all the water stayed inside. I never ever had such a horrible experience staying in any hotel in the past. Make yourself a favor and never book this!!! ??

No way to sleep here, too noisy. And bathrooms are smells not good and wet on the floor always.. Actually 2 people checked in midnight. You shouldn't be allowed to check-in at the midnight to wake up the other roommates. From 00:30-2:30 they were packing, talking, turning on lights, slamming doors, drying hair. They should be allowed to check in until 22:00 in the evening in a shared room. They would wake everyone up at dawn because they would come in making noise and then no one could go back to sleep.

The world-famous Matterhorn, lovingly called "Horu" by locals, can be seen directly from Zermatt Youth Hostel. Every day of the year, the Youth Hostel offers a charming alternative for all those guests for whom a luxurious hotel room is not necessary to enjoy the Zermatt mountains.
It's my first time in a youth hostel as adult... We really enjoyed this place (location, property, staff). Breackfast is rich, they don't have eggs. I could even had chai tea: very unusual. Dinner was good. If you don't look for fancy, just go there!

Unique ... yet affordable Hotel Bahnhof is a traditional family hotel since 1902. It has a warm and charming atmosphere. The rooms have wooden furniture and floors, and some have a balcony with Matterhorn view. Bathrooms are private or shared. The new renovated dormitories are very populare. That’s the place to meet people from all around the world. Outside is a big nice terrasse with wooden tables, benches and Matterhorn view. Hotel Bahnhof offers free Wi-Fi access through out the entire house. The guests of Hotel Bahnhof can use a fully-equipped kitchen, with a coffee and hot chocolate machine. We don’t serve any meals. Next to the kitchen is a cozy living area, laundry facilities and a large ski / storage room with lockers. Hotel Bahnhof is 100 meters to the left of the main station square located. It’s a big white building with red shutters. The free ski bus stops right outside the hotel, where the Gornergrat train starts towards the ski slopes.
Budget place, but exceptionally clean and welcoming. Countless places to eat around the hotel an I was lucky enough to see the Matterhorn from my bed. Next to train station as the name implies so an excellent choice if you are in from the Glacier Express, for example, and departing in the morning. Will happily stay here again.

It is a picturesque little hostel in a well maintained old building with all modern amenities . Reception desk is manned all the time with very helpful persons . Very peaceful. We stayed in the attic room with two beautiful windows which allow plenty of sunlight and excellent view of Meadows and mountains. Beds are comfortable with attached toilets. Switzerland does not provide shampoo and conditioner for hair as well as tooth paste. So it should be carried in your luggage . Any departmental store is very far off from this hostel. Buses are available to all direction. Roads are beautiful. Complimentary breakfast does not have many variety but it is satisfying fir those who love milk. Tea and coffee always available. I traveled with my daughter and we are satisfied with the amenities and view.
