El Diablo Tranquilo is Punta del Diablo's first and premiere hostel, built by backpackers, for backpackers, featuring a friendly staff as diverse as our guests.
Great staff! Very helpful. Neat and comfortable hostel with private rooms.(though bathrooms need a little attention.) Close to everything that is to offer. Breakfast basic but good. Sit around the fire at night. Very pleasant

A new building with drinkable water, hot and cold. Brand new beds with premium mattresses. Electricity and limited internet access. Clean sheet and towels each day. Free Breakfast. Beach and board games available. Musicians and other artists every night. Guesses have discounts in access to the restaurant pub, music shows and parties. Lobo is the place to live the Cabo Polonio Experience
Cabo Polonio is a great place to visita, it is quiet, isolated, small and disconmected from everything. You can breath fresh air there and see the sunset. Anothe amazing experience is to watch the stars and the fare at night. An excelent place to stay is lobo hostel bar, where you can eat food from the sea and have a great time with the staff

Design hotel, built with native materials, by a local group of artisans. Located in front of La Viuda beach and sorrounded by a natural reserve, where nature esxpreses in it's best way: flowers, native fruit trees, multicolor birds, and a small watercourse; this all gives us uniques sensations and sounds. Resting, familiar environment y regional home made meals identifies us. We are part of a network of touristic enterprises, which allow us to help you enjoy all the different activities and rides in the state of Rocha.
Very nice host very helpful, great suite with 2 rooms perfect for our family, excellent homemade breakfast, nice location with sea and dunes view. We would definitely come back. Higly recommended. And very reasonably priced for this quality.

This hostel has everything you needed. I was surprised that they even have WiFi and electricity. Well equipped kitchen you can use or order breakfast/lunch/dinner and have a family dinner. Staff members are very helpful, welcoming and careful. Beds are very comfy + shower with hot water. I left my optical glasses there and was very upset that I will never see them again, but we contacted them and asked if they can find someone who goes to Montevideo next day and they did. OMGosh, guys, I can't be thankful enough for such an effort to help me to reunite with my glasses. I can read again and see everything properly. You are simply the BEST!!!

Located at the top of Playa del Rivero, full of good energy, the hostel offers a different proposal, where fun and art become part of the trip. The place to spend your best vacations and enjoy Punta del Diablo in the best way. The architecture and design of the hostel is inspired on the origins of the fishing village, and our place looks just like Punta del Diablo was born. Pueblo Arriba Hostel is a unique place. Enjoy it togather!
Clean rooms, nice showers and very helpfull staff! We are definitely comming back. Make sure to pack enough cash since there is only one (unreliable) atm at punta del diablo. In some cases brazilian reais will work

The experience for almost 3 years working and travelling around the world in a hostel, guarantee our guests the quality of service we are used to give. Its a really cool hostel, in the best location, in the most beautiful beach of Uruguay. Every time you feel like home. We are waiting for you.
I truly recommend this hostel for your stay in Punta del Diablo. Great friendly staff. Perfect location. Incredibly atmosphere. They prepare good economic daily dinners for great for breaking the ice with fellow travelers.

Came to this hostel for NYE and it was amazing. Ended up staying extra nights. The staff are so nice, and helpful and there to be your friend. They continuously clean the bathrooms so they are always clean, have dinners at night you can join, have a good kitchen, close to the beach, really everything you could want. And they had a big Asado and party for New Years that was a lot of fun, really good atmosphere. It is however very loud at night or in the morning like other reviews say, however bring ear plugs and you are good to go. I was genuinely sad to leave this hostel and can't wait to come back.

This was the very first place I stayed as a solo traveller backpacking around South America in February of 2016. I arrived the day after the big carnival celebrations had finished. Despite having been so busy in previous days, the owner was so welcoming and helpful. He Organised a surf lesson for me the next morning, I had really comfortable and clean dorm room all to myself. Great bathroom / showers. Tranquil setting on edge of town but only 10 min walk to beach, great cooking facities, with two kitchens. Good wifi. And just overall a great welcoming vibe, more like a home stay than a hostel. The owners mother arrived for a day or two when I was there, and treated me as if I was part of the family. Would heartily recommend this place to solos, groups, families, friends. And I hear they throw an awesome party for carnival if you remember to show up in time!

This is a really great hostel. The location is perfect, nice kitchen, good outside and inside hang out areas, and real coffee for breakfast!! I stayed here over Christmas and they did a nice family style dinner and then had a party. It was really nice. Only down side for me was most staff did not speak English and i only speak a little Spanish so for the most part people did not even try to converse with me which could get a little lonely, but i will still 100% be back and when i speak better Spanish it will be great!

I arrived at the hostel late at night during the off-season...I surprised the owner to show up without a reservation. But I'm so glad it worked out! Paloma wasn't my favorite town on the coast yet this hostel is a bit outside of town just a block from a very quiet beach. There are free bikes you can use to ride into town...and the best part is the art. There's a little cinema and a fire pit and it's just a really cool cool spread! I've traveled a lot and have stayed in many hostels all over the world. So I feel like somewhat of an expert when I say this spot is special. Sergio and Natalia went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable (even though just being in this space is all that's needed). I strongly recommend just going here to enjoy life! The room I stayed in had a great view of the ocean (over top of another building). It was very peaceful.
