There’s an Arabic inscription that captures the essence of Granada in a few words: “There is nothing so sad as to be blind in Granada.” The perspicacity of this declaration becomes obvious as soon as you penetrate the austere walls of the Alhambra and take in the full majesty of the architecture, carvings and fountains of the Nasrid palaces. Your ticket (which should be bought well in advance following the instructions on the attraction’s website) also affords entry to the Renaissance Palace of Carlos V and to the exquisite gardens of the Generalife. If you are celebrating a special event, or are in the market for a splurge, you can stay in the lovely Parador, right on site. Make your way down into the city via the atmospheric old quarter of the Albaicin, with its tiny craft shops and restaurants, and head for the Cathedral and Royal Chapel. Also plan a visit to the crypt for the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabella, the instigators of Spain’s imperial adventures to the New World and beyond. It’s worth making the short journey out of town to visit the Monasterio Cartuja, a fabulous Carthusian monastery in the baroque style. Admirers of the poet Lorca should make the effort to visit the Casa-Museo Federico Garcia Lorca in Fuente Vaqueros, about 11 miles from the city centre.

I was coming from France with friends and we had an excellent experience at Room Vita & Bar. Jairo was very attentive during our stay. The breakfast was healthy and made with fresh ingredients. Thank you !

Our brand new hostel is located in a typical andalucian "corral" style building where you will find yourself at home in our DELUX hostel. Come and experience a hostel like no other!
The facilities themselves were clean and acceptable, however I was really disappointed with the service and the reception staff. From the moment I walked in there was no friendliness whatsoever, it felt very much like a hotel check in. It had arisen that there was an issue with my booking and I had been double charged. When approaching reception asking to be refunded for being overcharged, they put the blame on me and said that they don't offer refunds under any circumstances. Despite evidence that it clearly was impossible for me to have booked and paid separately for two different rooms at the exact same minute (as my booking confirmation showed), reception were very curt and refused to refund, be sympathetic or kind - which is what you would expect from a regular receptionist. At the end of the day, I was not that disappointed about losing the money from this encounter, but really disappointed that you could have an organisation which would be so unreasonable and inhospitable towards customers. I really felt like the hostel was only concerned with making money and could not care about the patrons.

I spent a week here in May while on a course. First night bed was awful but next day there was a new mattress in place. It's a great location, good value, staff are pleasant and helpful, rooms very clean . Downside is noisy at night - street is very narrow and bins are removed at night, rumbling over the cobbles at great length! I had a double room, fine for me but would be a bit cramped for two. However, you have the benefit of being in the centre and in a traditional old building.

An amazingly friendly and chill place. Full of lovely people and it is also in a great location, in a heart of Granada. Stuff is really nice and always willing to help. Trung is an especially interesting guy who is friendly to everyone and leads a pubcrawl during the weekend, showing his guests all the coolest places in the city. 10/10 recommend staying there and hanging out with Trung!

Best hostel in Andalús.. Great staff who host plenty of events in the centre of Granda with easy access to all the different parts of town... It was so good, I had to come back to 'the trap!' So good to be part of the Granado Family!

I loved the hostel. I stayed in a four bed female dorm. Everyone was really friendly, the beds were great, lockers available, the dorms spacious. The hostel organises a lot of activities and I wish I had stayed there longer. Breakfast is available at €3 (or larger portion at €6). It's very tasty but not very large portion.

Our hotel is situated in Calle Recogidas, (which is directly linked to the city by-pass or Circunvalacion), at the very heart of the business, historical, monumental and entertainment areas of the city centre. We are a family-run, young and pleasant team. You will be able to visit the Cathedral and Royal Chapel in a five minutes walk, thanks to our exceptional location. Likewise, the magnificent Alhambra or the Albaycin neighbourhood, can be enjoyed in a twenty minutes walk. Reaching this sites by bus is also possible, the bus-stop is just five minutes away from the hotel. We have 11 rooms at your service, all of them equipped with air-conditioning and full baths, TV set and heating, in order to make you feel comfortable and to enjoy your stay in Granada. Car-park is also available on the premises. The hotel is a modern building,
The accommodation had everything we were looking for. The room - eventhough quite small and dark (ground floor facing tiny courtyard) - was cozy with enough storage space, had nice and clean bathroom with spacious shower, ideal for two night stay. But, as usual, there is almost no soundproofing when it comes to door. Our room was the first in the corridor from the reception so it was really noisy even during the night - earplugs are essential. Moreover eventhough the night temperature was pleasantly low outside, we had to use A/C continuously since it was not possible to get a fresh air from the little courtyard where our window was facing to. The air there was not moving at all and all the noisy outside A/C units were heating it up in addition. We wanted to stay in the city centre with parking possibility - this hostal provides both. Parking is not cheap but it is an underground parking lot in the traffic restricted area, so it is understandable. The location is great with 10 minutes walk to both Alhambra and Albacín and with so many nice bars and bistros packed with locals everywhere. Overall the hotel is more than reasonably priced, clean and is taken care of by a friendly staff.
