Clean and Comfortable
Reviewed By Allan152I enjoyed my stay here and certainly will stay again. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is well located. Some temples are within walking distance, if you like to hoof it. Tuk Tuks are always available. It is near restaurants, a bank is a few doors down, and the post office (if you send post cards) is across the street. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the price is very reasonable, and they have a small swimming pool, if you care for an afternoon splash. An excellent breakfast buffet is included. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. Don't miss their tomato salad! I cannot answer questions related to COVID, as I was there just before the pandemic exploded.

Night mare
Reviewed By remusangStay 1 night in 3/2-4/2. Overall room is clean and great breakfast. Owner is friendly. Price is great value. However worse night mare in room 707. After closing the toilet door discover no door knob and the metal latch is unable to open up. I have to spend one hour screaming and shouting for help. But in the end I have to kick and break the door in order to get out. Totally exhausted after trying all methods to get out. Imagine if old lady get trapped?. It was the worse bad experience in my entire travelling journey. Do Avoid room 707! Owner compensate a free breakfast for this incident.

Reviewed By beanmanandwifeThis well-located hostel is a great option in a crowded field. The location is very good; staff are friendly, organized and can offer plenty of good tips (front desk are more tuned in than restaurant.) Free breakfast is included, with a Western and Asian option. They have a nice top floor restaurant/hangout space with a lovely rooftop terrace above that (good mornings or evenings/blistering hot mid-day.) Our top tip would be to take a no window room, or what we decided to call our ‘sleep cave.’ These rooms are cooler, darker and quieter than any others - great after a long, hot day exploring.

Nice and dynamic place
Reviewed By jeromep281I spent 3 nights there in a shared room. The place is clean, staff always smiling and ready to help you, food is good and the atmosphere is pretty cool ! You also have a big place where you can lock your valuable things, which is great when you don't want to carry everything on you ! I also tryed the Ostello Bello Bagan and it was all the same !

Overall good, but last day was ruined by food poisoning
Reviewed By Ansh_VarOverall the private room I had booked was fine. Concrete floor. Helpful staff, very good location. Shared bathroom is fairly clean. The hostel is okay on the socia side, not great, although they don't organise events themselves. However, on the last day I had some eggs which I most definitely got FOOD POISONING from later on in the day. This completely RUINED the whole day. Two things would help, however. The rooms themselves could do with a mirror, this wouldn't be hard to do so I am really not sure why this has not been done. It would help with getting ready in the morning/evening. I noticed that my room was not serviced daily, not sure why, but upon reading the other reviews here it seems it SHOULD have been. If they can solve those issues this hostel probably would have at least four stars.

Quite possible the cleanest hostel ever
Reviewed By roamsweetroam91Stayed here in January 2019 for 3 nights. The rooms were spacious and incredibly clean. The beds were comfy. We arrived super early in the morning having just gotten the train from Mandalay. They provided us with an early breakfast and recommended we check out the free Bagan tour. (You only pay for your scooter hire, which is reasonably priced). The tour was great and e saw some gorgeous temples that weren't completely crowded. The other ostello bello just up the road has great nightlife. This one is quieter but does have a pool and reasonably priced beers.

Reviewed By ChanNLwinIt's a bit noisy during the day due to the jetties in front of the hotel. But it get less frequent in the evening. Tourist information centre is right in front of the hotel. So it's good. All in all, it's a good hotel if you're only looking to stay there just to sleep at night.

Perfect place
Reviewed By MaliniBalachandranAesthetically designed hostel located at a walking distance from Sule Square. The hostel is clean and comfortable. Extra points to the friendly, courteous, ever-smiling, and always ready-to-help staff. I had trouble finding Grab to the bus station. One of the staff even went out to look for a cab. I stayed at the Hood Hostel at the beginning of my trip and went back on the last day, as well (in December 2019)!
