This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the former capital of Laos, and you'll see everything from golden-roofed temples to vestiges of colonial French architecture here. Buddhist monasteries abound in Luang Prabang, and early every morning, monks process through the streets collecting alms (their food for the day). If you want to watch or participate, though, ask your hotel for a brief etiquette lesson first—you have to distribute the food in a specific manner.

Tony Central Hostel is located in a great location on the night market road, Sisavangvong, Luang Prabang where the national museum and wat xieng thong, phousi mount are surround and within minutes of walking. the owner Mr. Tony is kind and spoke fluently English , Chinese , Vietnamese and some French. in room with modern air-con is a brand new brand so it work quiet and cool enough. wifi was upgrade to a better capacity so the connection is great stable. Hot water shower and shower pressure is also a good point of this hostel is also indeed needed to mention due to the large number traveler's compliment. INDOOR Travel desk name LPB ticketing Center is also run by the owner and it work well with reasonable price and recorded a large volume bookings from outdoor customers
Good location, shot walk from night market and alms giving area. Nice and quiet, no loud music and all those stuff. Great staff, greets you everytime. Basic facilities but everything we need. Motorbike rental and city transfers can be arranged here. Happy Tet to all of you who celebrates.

The bathroom and the bed sheet was dirty, reeked of mold and even had dried blood. The staff was somewhat friendly, and the location is good, near the center, everything is close. Not recommended at all.

Horrible! We should have left when we walked in. We sent an email about a miss communication asking to extend our stay an extra day since the buses run differently in Laos than Thailand, no one ever answered our email. When we arrived, she checked us and took us to our room. In the basement with no window. We were suppose to have a/c and fans, there was no a/c (which we paid for) and the one fan did not work. The room was really hot which made it uncomfortable. The room was not clean as there was something on the floor and nails sticking out of the floor boards. The door did not seal properly either. The toilet is at the opposite end of the hall from the sink and showers. So you have to walk into this tiny little closet that’s poorly lite and smells then walk down the hall to wash your hands. The showers are gross and unclean. When we checked in we were told breakfast was until 10 am, when we came up at 9 am for breakfast, they were clearing it away. When we asked the lady looked confused and didn’t speak English well so we gave up. I would highly recommend going anywhere else but here!

I had booked this hostel via Hostelworld in Chiang Rai with enough time in advance as I was going to get the slowboat into Laos and not have data for 2 days. The slowboat makes a stop overnight and then ends in Luang Prabang. Once in Luang Prabang, I walked having a vague idea of where the hostel was until I found it. It was a surprise when I arrived and they told me I was not on the list. I connected to their WiFi, and showed them my confirmation email. They asked me to check the Hostelworld app and my booking was cancelled there. I told them I did not cancel therefore it was not my mistake and if I could still get my room, but they told me they had already booked it and I could only stay in another room, and pay 90.000 kip for 1 night instead of the 100.000 kip I would have paid for 2 nights with my Hostelworld booking. The management made no attempts to understand my situation, moreover they even encouraged me to book with them cause other hostels nearby were more expensive (due to it being last minute) and as I still had no SIM card I did not want to look aimlessly for another room. So I agreed to stay for 1 night and I would find somewhere else the following day. I don’t think it was worth the money, the room was filled with mosquitoes coming from the toilet, was not as comfortable and overall a bad experience for me. I decided after my visit to message Hostelworld to clear up the situation and to know who had cancelled my booking to which I received confirmation that the hostel was the one who cancelled it. I just want to warn other visitors of what to expect.

I stayed in this hotel during for nights and it was a very pleasant stay. We selected a room with balcony. Room was very small but the balcony allows to seat comfortably. Bed is comfortable, room was clean with AC but mosquito net was more for decoration however it was not an issue . The hotel is located in a quiet small alley at proximity of all interesting places to visit: night market, Mekong river, temples and restaurants. Breakfast is served in a separate hotel about 50m away and is really excellent. Possibility to rent bicycles free of charge. You will receive vouchers for different activities proposed by Mylaohome. We tested massage and it was also excellent. Last but not least the receptionist and all the staff were fantastic, always ready to help and very friendly. I would certainly return again in this hotel.

The location was nice; down a quiet street, Mattresses and showers are great (noisy bunk beds though). The hostel itself is nice and breakfast is included. However there wasn’t much of an atmosphere and the hostel was very quiet. If you’re looking to meet people I wouldn’t really suggest it.

Friendly Backpacker hostel provides accommodations in Luang Prabang. Popular points of interest around the property include Night Market and National Museum. Mount Phousy is 641 m from the hostel. An American breakfast is served daily at the property. Wat Xieng Thong is 1.4 km from the hostel. The nearest airport is Luang Prabang International Airport, 3.1 km from the property.
We stayed there three nights ! Very comfy beds with ac in the bedrooms, the whole hostel was very clean and the people working there was so nice, kind and made you feel at home, they helped us with any issue we needed like washing or excursion to even indicating where different things were in the town or how to get there and helped us get transportation when needed ! I highly recommend this hostel !

Our booking was cancelled the day before arrival. We booked 3 months in advance and our reservation was confirmed. We are now at the airport trying to find somewhere to stay before we get on the plane. Very poor
