Location is amazing across the hill Khreshcatik just right on the spot of Podil one of most beautiful locations in Kyiv with loads of pubs and near river side.

Gar'is Hostel is located in the centre of Kiev on the quiet street, downtown in Pechers`kyi area, less than 3-minute walk from "Klovska" metro station, 6-minute walk to the Olimpiyskiy and Palace of Sports, 10-minute walk to the main street of Kiev - Khreshatik! Guest services include: 24-hour reception desk help with friendly English and Russian speaking staff, cozy rooms with free wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) connection. Great discount offers for groups and long stay are provided. Each Gar'is Hostel room is nice-designed and well-equipped for the comfortable stay: comfortable beds with linen and towels, individual storage lockers, desk, chairs, mirror, coat hanger. Hostel guests have an option to leave their belongings in separate premise for luggage which is absolutely safe. Also the infrastructure of the hostel offers 8 shared shower units and 8 lavatories divided into "Male" and "Female". Fully equipped kitchen gives an opportunity to the guests to cook for themselves. Tea and drinking water are always available. Administrators are stealing money from guests, and the manager doesn't care...
Reviewed By OlegC58Administrators are stealing money from guests, and the manager doesn't care... I stayed here few nights and eventually decided to go to another hostel. For the first 4 nights, my daily price was constant with a bit of discount. On the 5th night, Nastya the new administrator came. The price was increased by 50 UAH, she said. Even though I had a discount earlier, Nastya increased the price to 260 UAH. That was even higher than the official hostel's price. Due to market conditions, the price increased, she said (though there was no overbooking or significant booking increase). Also I found later that prices of the hostel are constant at that period of time and nobody changed them "due to market conditions". Than I gave my bank card to Nastya. She was disappointed and asked me to pay cash. She explained, administrators need cash to pay for delivery of hostel inventory (like toilet paper etc). Later I found that it is merely not true. All of that was weird to me and I decided to pay for the booking on the next day. The next morning, I asked the administrator to talk to the manager. We agreed, that I leave my phone number and the manager will call me back. Eventually nobody called me. In the evening, I asked the administrator to talk to the manager again. "The manager is busy" to talk to me, the administrator responded. For me it is obvious that administrators are committing fraud and stealing money from guests. They take advantage of those who stay only for couple or few days, because short term guests are not aware of the whole process. While amount of money is not huge, it is absolutely not acceptable that: 1) guests suffer from that theft; 2) the manager tolerates the fraud. Following the same process, next time the administrator will steal guest's valuable belongings and the manager will tolerate it.

You will never get to feel alone there. You will absolutely feel like home. People, staff and residents, are friendly and hospitable. It is clean and very organised. It is close to everywhere.

We are happy to invite you to visit the historic city of Kyiv and stay at our hostel «VShokoladi». We are located near the city center on Povitroflotskyi Avenue 5. It would be very easy to reach us after long journey , as the hostel is just in a 5 minute walk from the metro station "Vokzalna" and the main railway station. Comfortable accomodation, hot tea and coffee are waiting for You. Sleeping places are equipped with an electric socket and a night lamp. All guests have their individual drawers. Free Wi-Fi is available around the hostel. After a long day you can always take a shower, hot water is available 24/7. We have a convenient transportation interchange near our place: a trolley, bus and public taxi stops. Also near the Hostel there are: a car park, a large supermarket, cinema, cafe, restaurant and a bowling club. Our friendly staff will be happy to make your stay in Kyiv pleasant and joyful and help You with any case.

Being a solo traveler and 5500 miles from home this is so important. I stayed in a private room with bathroom and it was very clean and bright. Maison Blanche has a kitchen for its guests to use which is great because there is a grocery store right next door. I would be happy to stay there again.

Reviewed By Dani3l88Das Hostel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Es hat eine super Preis-Leistung. Es ist alles sehr sauber und modern. Es ist eine Küche und ein Workspace vorhanden. Zusätzlich gibt es ein Restaurant und eine Gaming-Zone mit Billard, etc. Ich kann das Hostel nur empfehlen.

Belokorichi hostel is located in the historical center of Kiev. Some rooms have an LCD TV with satellite channels. 5 minutes walk from the hostel Belokorichi to the metro station "Arsenal". Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is 1.5 km away.Belokorichi hostel- a great choice if you are interested in monuments, nightlife and a trip to the city.
Administrator's lack of management skills pissed me off
Reviewed By Elmir BI thought, it was good option to live in small hostel, because normally small hostels more clean, silent and people are more friendly there. We found Belokorichi in Booking.com, Me and my friend knocked the hostel's door for about 15 minutes then one old woman appeared, introduced herself as administrator of the hostel. We booked 4 bed mixed room, then we went out for exploring out Kiev. In the evening we bought cognac and lemon before going to hostel, however a woman who supposed to be our roommate performed the worst ever show, I have ever seen. She said, we shouldn't drink in the hostel, we said we won't drink we bought it for tomorrow. She was swearing and trying to insult us, we responded to her insults accordingly. I went to administrator, asked her to sort out the conflict, because we didn't want to live with that woman in the same room. She nodded her head but hasn't done anything more than that. Unfortunately such a beautiful hostel is being managed by old communist aged 65-70. I lived in many hostels, but this experience was the worst. I definitely don't recommend this hostel to anyone.

New hostel with custom design, fresh repair, new furniture is situated in the center of old Kiev in facility built in 1903. We have spacious rooms and high ceilings. The low prices, hospitality and atmosphere of our city will come to your liking. We have all for travelers' convenience. Convenient beds will allow you to have a good rest, the small cosy kitchen will please you with aroma оf fresh coffee, comfortable shower will wash off your weariness, warm hall will delight you with friendly atmosphere. You can reach in 5 minutes the main Kiev sights - Golden gates, Sofievsky cathedral, Vladimir hill, Kreschatik, Majdan Nezalezhnosti, Andreevsky descent, not wasting your time in crowded public transport or in the traffic jam.

Reviewed By cooker3000I found choosing a hostel in Kyiv strangely difficult; some were cheap but far away; others were cheap and well located but looked terrible. This proved the best combination of value and location so much so I stayed here twice. It's a small enough place so may want to book ahead. You can pay with a card which most places I stayed at in Ukraine didn't have. It's a short walk to all the sites. There are good quality bathrooms. There is free water, quality WiFi and sockets beside each bed.

Avoid at all costs
Reviewed By FiveTimesWinnersAtrocious place. Beds dirty. Accommodation was cheap but having stayed in the accommodation I now know why. Avoid at all costs as the owner was trying obtain ‘deposit’ money in case of damages without willing to offer a receipt.
