Fascinating limestone hills and towers lure tourists from China and around the world to this city of 630,000. Popular sights include 120-hectare Seven Star Park, Reed Flute Cave, 200-foot high Fubo Hill and the much-loved Elephant Trunk Hill. Guilin is very popular as a starting point for Li River cruises to Yangshuo and for visits to the nearby minority villages of Yao, Miao and Dong. April, May, September and October are the best months to visit, as they avoid the extremes of heat and rain.

We as a couple really enjoyed our stay, the place is home away from home. Adequate services, great location, friendly staffs and they also invited us for free Dumplings lesson. Just love this place. Rooms were clean and they provided free self laundry. This place is great for budget travelers as well as for family to stay. I would surely choose this place again if I ever go back to Guilin.

Nice cheap place to stay. Very tidy and clean. Good service from all staff. Lovely cheap breakfast. One suggestion though is to either put dark curtains over small window or put in night lights in the hallway. Light shining in window made it hard to get to sleep.

Here we have excellent facilities and warming staff. You may find it amazing that such a quiet and lovely place should exist in Guilin downtown. Roaming around the lake bank, you would meet cute statues of piggy and goose along the path, there are the local opera stage set on the river, squares full of dancing ladies in happiness.
The staff, especially Cristina, was extremely caring and went out of their way to help me e.g. organize a boat trip before my arrival. Also I appreciate their environmental approach: water refills and no toiletries, except for liquid soap in the shower. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for 1 night, also locationwise

Greenforest was such a welcome relief from Beijing and Xi'an's filthy hostels, and rude people. From the moment I arrived, the staff made everything easy for me. Laundry service - I did two loads with tumble dryer too, total only 25 CNY. They organized the Li river trip for me, and let me pay later as I had no cash on me. The room was large, bathroom clean with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The best thing about it.... it was clean!! Lovely clean cotton sheets. Heaven! You can easily walk or take a taxi to the sun & moon pagodas. I also walked down to the 2 rivers, 4 lakes scenic area. The fine art gallery is free and worth a visit too. (I don't really recommend the luxury cruise tour they booked for me though... the guide was pushy, rude and barely gave us any English info despite being fluent.)

Good location to explore Guilin-walking distance to old bus station(South station), 2 minutes walk to the right to have Guilin dried noodles for breakfast and to the left to have warm soya bean drink, steamed stuffed buns(Bao and Mantou) and dumplings, shops and restaurants are just stones-throw away from the hostel. with elevator, room was clean and covers the basics, bed was clean and very comfortable, the front desk staff are friendly and helpful especially the young gentlemen who loves coffee has a big smile on his face (sorry that I didn't manage to get his name), they spoke English well. Except the tissue box cover was dusty, everything was great!

Only stayed one night as passing through but had lovely stay here. Staff friendly and helpful, room clean (could have done with bit of redecorating), good air con, good wifi, great breakfast (sausage, bacon and egg roll with coffee included). Ideal location right opposite train station and near bus stations. Also right beside number 22 bus for connecting to guilin west train station. Really good quiet nights sleep as we were on upper floor.

Its very hard to find a way into the building. Noone crossing the streets could find that place with the address, so we just walk up and down the street. Finally we find the sign of the hotel hanging on the side of the building. You should go into the elevator like in normal 11th floor building and there you find the name Oasis. After going out the elevator turn right and go to the reception (colorfull and strange place) for your key. If you go toward fromelevator you can find a garden in the center of the building. Hotel is at the busy street so its close to KFC and other shops. You can go by bus to Guilin railway station its bus stop next to the hotel on the same side of the street.

Although the name suggests this is a hostel, it is more of an inn. Even though they have a breakfast menu, they don't serve breakfast. This was not told upon arrival so we had to find out just before our taxi picked us up for our train journey. The rooms are OK. Clean and simple with flat screen TV. Bathrooms are very small with no window. The bed is spacious but hard. There is one English speaking staff member who is quite helpful. Others only speak Chinese.

Lotus Landing is a modern-day Hostel built on a beautiful and now refurbished authentic & historical Chinese building. We are located in central Guilin, at a perfect location for travelers coming to explore the city, while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the area. *FREE WiFi - Spacious Rooms & Comfortable Beds - English Speaking Staff - Rooftop Area - Friendly Atmosphere*
Complessivamente medio.
