Chiriquí Province is a mountainous wonderland, located near the Barú Volcano. If you’re an adventure and nature lover, you’ll be right at home here, as the region offers everything from white-water rafting and kayaking to zip-line rainforest rides and hiking. More relaxed activities, such as coffee plantation tours and bird-watching, also are available here. To reach Chiriquí, you’ll likely pass through David, Panama’s third-largest city. If you choose to visit the Gulf of Chiriquí, you’ll find first-rate scuba diving, snorkeling, and other water sports that take full advantage of its marine location.

Bambuda Castle is a hostel located just out of Boquete town. The Castle has cozy dorms and beautiful private rooms, a bar, swimming pool, jacuzzi and rock climbing wall. The bars will keep the cold drinks flowing while you enjoy the heated swimming pool or relax in the hot tub. You can book all your tours and transportation at the hostel and our friendly staff are determined to make your stay fun and comfortable.
It’s an amazing place, I would say the best place in Boquete. Everyone I nice, there’s an amazing environment, their food is AMAZING honestly, great prices and the rooms are incredible. I would definitely come back 100 times. The staff is the best staff I’ve seen, I can’t wait to visit their lodge in Bocas del Toro. If you have the chance to come, please do you won’t regret it. Loved it!!!

Our Spanish School & Hostel in Boquete is located in a charming neighborhood. The cozy and comfortable house has 4 rooms; 3 with two single beds and 1 with a double bed and optional private bathroom. There is also a lush garden with lots of birds and orange trees. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room has a sound system, cable television and DVD. The communal areas in the house, the terrace with hammocks and the garden with it's easy chairs makes this place perfect to relax or to work in style!
I spent almost two weeks at this Hostal, and since I’m traveling alone, it was great how Ricardo, the Chilean manager, put together group meals quite often...pizza, tacos, eggplant lasagna, Chilean food, and our Christmas meal. The dorms are only two beds, I had one unfortunate roommate who snored loudly, that was rough for me since I’m a light sleeper, but luckily he left, and Lucas was fine. It is a bit out of town, but nearly is Morton’s Bakery, which is great, as is The Garden Restaurant. A shared taxi or bus is only $.60, and takes ten minutes, nice walk into town along the River also. I’d recommend this Hostal.

Not the best place to stay. We spend there two nights. The rooms were dusty and there is no window to open. The bathroom was not clean. Hair in the drain and a dead cockroach lying there. We had to clean it ourselves.

A charming inn/hotel on the river/ private rooms, private bathrooms, hot water, cable t.v. wifi, internet truly the best location in Boquete.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had very low expectations, but it was quite nice and comfortable. We brought our own bed cloth and towels. I will recomend this property for LOCALS rather than other country tourists. We had good meals cooked in the shared kitchen and all other guest were extremly nice and respectful of the Covid-19 precautions.

For me, this is more like a hostel than a hotel. It more fits for a group of friends. Pros: it has a pretty garden with a BBQ area in the middle. 2 super friendly dogs with a lot of cats hanging out in the garden. The room has a kitchen with stove, oven, sink, and microwave, coffee pot. The staff was nice and helpful. Cons: the entrance from the main road to the place and the parking area need some serious improvement, it is bumpy and muddy with gutter on the side. The soundproof is not really good, we can hear our next door talking and the kid stayed above our room kept dropping things on the floor which is really annoying.

Cool place for backpakers. Everything is made of wood in harmony with the beautiful nature in the area. Helpful staff, clean, hot wather. Very good public transport in the form of buses. Near minimarket and restaurant. Good view for volcan Baru. I recommend :-)

There are 2 studio apartments and a suite located above the store. The apartments have fully supplied kitchens, the suite has a fridge & coffee maker. There are chairs, tables, & hammocks on the balcony. There are also 2 private cabanas available, which have all of the amenities of the apartments. They have private patios, which provide a beautiful view of a valley, with hammocks & table/chairs. The Cabana Verde can comfortably sleep 4 people & has a sleeping/living area, bathroom in the center, and a roomy kitchen area with a dining area for 4. The kitchen also has room for a bunkbed. The White House is larger than the Cabana Verde, & has a large open area for cooking, dining, relaxing, & sleeping for 5-7, with a separate Master Bedroom. We have a 2-story house that can sleep 50 people, and what we call the Mirror Room, which can sleep 6 people, has a bath, and a small fridge & coffee maker. Contact for rates for the Cabanas, House, & Mirror Room. Discounts for 2+ weeks.
This is a quiet, beautiful place to stay. Fred & Raquel have made it a little paradise - several acres of land with tilapia ponds, fruit trees, and lots 'o great dogs. We stayed in a Casita away from the main building a couple of times, once for several weeks. It had a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bedroom. The whole place is rustic, so don't expect amenities like A/C, maid service, manicured gardens. It is a hostel, not a hotel. It is not close to anything, so you really need a car if you stay there. But, if you want to feel what it is like to live in the mountains of Panamá, inexpensively, it is worth a visit.
