The charms of the Czech Republic's second-largest city may not be immediate, but spend a few days in this Moravian town and Brno's vibrant, authentic Czech ambiance will win you over. It's a fine way to experience Czech life without the teeming herds of tourists that visit Prague. Art Nouveau, Empire and Neoclassical buildings stand in the bar- and restaurant-packed old city center. Leafy parks abound. Be sure to get a photo with a local landmark, the suspiciously crocodilian Brno Dragon statue.

Hotel & Apartments Jacob Brno is situated in the historic city centre, with a total capacity of 90 beds. We are located in the very heart of the city on Jakubske namesti, which is very near Namesti Svobody (Freedom square). We offer a wide selection of rooms: from single, double, and family rooms to spacious apartments with a view of the historic city centre. We also offer comfortable rooms with a shared bathroom. These have non-stop access to a shared, fully equipped kitchen and a common room. Comfortable double rooms with a view of the square are located on the fourth floor. These rooms have private bathrooms with shower, and upon request, the beds can be arranged as twin beds as well. In case you are looking for an accommodation where you would feel at home, book one of our apartments. You would always have at least one separate bedroom, a private bathroom with a bathtub or a shower, and a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette. Some of the apartments have their own rooftop terrace.
This place is centrally located, and is very cheap. I stayed in a single room with shared toilets. The place was sparkling clean. The toilets were cleaned multiple times during the day. It is walking distance from everything in Brno, including the train station.

Very agreeable place to stay and enjoy the city Brno. Pleasant staff that is helpful to fulfill each of your wish. Our room was really clean as well as the shared bathroom. I will definitely choose it again the next time.

The hostel eleven is set up like a hotel with no amenities in the room. There is no bar or common area, but there’s small kitchens on each floor without burners I believe. The door shut and locked to the kitchen and the reception said there were no keys so it stayed locked until someone from a room inside the kitchen area came out. The bathrooms are very outdated and the clips that hold the shower heads were broken so you had to hold the shower head to clean yourself. Only really a place to stay for a quick sleep in town,

Stay in room 4 for 2 nights. I arrived about midday, but the room was ready and the reception let me check in anyway, so kudos for that. One of the staff took me to my room and showed me where all the facilities were before taking me to my room. The room was a 4 bed dorm room, but very large and immaculately clean (as is the hostel). The 2 bunk beds took up maybe a quarter of the room. The rest of the room was taken up with a couch and three tub chairs, and tastefully decorated. The bed had a super comfortable mattress, excellent duvet, a large fluffy and firm pillow, a safety deposit box, an electrical socket, a personal light and a privacy curtain The covers for the duvet, mattress and pillow all felt better quality than the average hostel. In terms of comfort, the whole hostel had a “premium” feel to it. Access to both the hostel and the room is secured using a fob. Combined with the safety deposit box made me feel much more relaxed because Im’ usually paranoid about losing my passport. The bathrooms and toilets were all shared and there’s several across I think two floors. I didn’t have any trouble waiting for either. Both the toilet and bathroom were clean and spotless. The hostel also has an attached cafe which also served breakfast for the guests. I had breakfast and coffee at the cafe a few times. Both coffee and food here are excellent, especially the cacao and almond cookies. It was deeeelicious. Location wise, the hostel is 5 minutes walk to the station and another few minutes to get into the city centre. Basically, it’s close to all the attractions and Brno is a very walkable city anyway. The cafe serves food until late, but the city centre has plenty of places and plenty of choices. The staff were just super throughout the stay, friendly and happy to see you, which just made the stay so much more pleasant. Other little things include hooks in the showers, free lemon and mint water just makes me think hostel has put so much thought into making guests comfortable, it’s incredible. The hostel also provides Wifi which was fast and effectively. No trouble at all using it anywhere in the hostel or the cafe. Overall, I had a fantastic stay. I would give this hostel 10 stars if I could and would look forward to staying again.

I freaked out when I saw that I could stay at a decommissioned soviet nuclear bunker. It was an incredibly interesting and fascinating experience, one that I would definitely remember. I opted for a single room for my two-night stay. It was cold at night given that it was underground, but they provided a sleeping bag for me. Breakfast is a typical Czech breakfast, and it's very close to the main square.

Do you want to enjoy your stay the best way possible, but not pay too much? Come to Fléda! Fleda is a pulsing place, low-cost, but cozy, with all the facilities a backpacker needs, and many opportunities to have fun around. WHAT IS THE ATMOSPHERE LIKE? Hostel Fleda is a place where history meets the present day- here you can feel the breath of the old days together with the contemporary rhythm of the city. How is this possible? Situating a centre for free-spirited travellers and the most modern venue for musicians in a building which used to house an art nouveau cabaret did the trick. WHAT HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT US? Hostel Fleda is the oldest hostel in Brno. We have had our ups and downs throughout the years, but we have pulled together all our professional experience , improved the place the best way we could and are ready to fulfill all the traveller´s needs and wishes like never before! Do you want to know exactly what we have done? Ok then: we have painted the walls tastefully, bought antique furniture and accessories, cleaned the bathrooms with a toothbrush (no kidding) and livened up the balconies by planting flowers and herbs. We do not want to pretend that Hostel Fleda will ever be a fancy three star hotel; what´s much more important for us is that the place has a soul. WHERE IS IT? Hostel Fleda is located close to the city centre and the most popular attractions: it's five minutes by tram or fifteen minutes walk through Luzanky, the oldest park in the city, a very popular place to have a picnic or play a game. The famous UNESCO-listed Villa Tugendhat is just behind this park. WHAT´S IN AND AROUND? Hostel Fléda offers both private rooms and dorms, which consists of bunk beds or single beds with good mattresses and comfortable pillows and blankets. Lockers are available in every room. Extra beds and childrens beds are also at your disposal , and pets are welcome. Sheets and towels are available for free.
I was sleeping in Fleda (hotel?) for few nights with my friend. I was lucky to sleep in room with two beds but they were extremaly uncomfortable. I have to say that is was dirty and forgotten. Dont get me wrong. You could see that the cleaning ladies are cleaning but the owner have probably never been inside. 1. Horrible beds 2. Old showers > the curtains are not even working properly 3. You can hear everything throught the walls and thin doors. 4. There is dust in (huge!) lamps 5. They dont care about towells or sheets for the beds in rooms for more people. Oh and there is a club downstairs so don’t even hope to get some rest on the weekend. Its just old. But if you’r Okey with that then dont worry. The personel is nice. And its quite cleen.

Young Space is student housing and hostel in the city center. In our residence, You can find recently reconstructed and fully-equipped rooms and friendly atmosphere without any baseless restrictions together with various additional services.

Office curtains in a bad condition, good for those who want to wake up with the sun. Stinky, quickie shower, some glasses and cups near to the reception, careless host (we saw him once when he collected the money in the morning). Booked for three, got only two bedding. We asked for one more, they sad sorry, they did not have more. We survived one night.

Classic scam, I do not recommend this place. We’ve arrived at the end of check-in time. It was tight, but we were there in time. There was just closed door and that’s about it. Nobody let us in, nobody picked up 4 (!) calls to the mobile number provided. Nobody (ever) called us back, not even the next day. Our request for refund was denied. The person responsible probably left way ahead the end of check-in time and did not even try to wait until the end of check-in time or inquire about two pre-paid missing quests.
