We stayed in the La Quebecoise house. The house has a couple of very serious and incurable issues. First off, if you want to visit the recreation area (lake, pool, tennis court, etc.), you must commit to a treacherous drive. First you must drive down the hill to the highway. Once at the highway, you must wait patiently for an opening in the fast-moving traffic. When you see a break in the traffic, you must immediately accelerate up to highway speeds, then abruptly cross over two lanes of highway traffic and then decelerate to zero in order to make a u-turn. Once you have crossed the highway median, you must again accelerate to highway speeds, abruptly cross 2 highway lanes, and then turn right onto a small country road. It is treacherous. The second issue is incessant highway noise. The entire house fronts onto the highway. And it is loud. Whether you open a window, stand on a patio, or soak in the hot tub, you will be inundated with constant highway noise. It is really unacceptable for Royal not to disclose these things to incoming guests. There is no way we would have rented the house had we known of these issues. No one rents a country house with the expectation of being constantly inundated by highway noise. We did enjoy our visit, but it was in spite of the issues I bring up.

Just 2 kilometers from the city, the peace you want you will find in the possibility of living on the shore of the lake and admiring its beauty.
We first stayed in a room during March 2015 for the "Coupe de Quebec" ice kiting race which is held on Lake Megantic. Our family returned this March and rented the Cottage #5 which had two small bedrooms, a nice large bathroom with tub & shower, a nicely equipped kitchen, and a living room with cable TV and a fold out couch. The view from our picture window out to the lake was spectacular. We could walk to the Lake with our ski boots on and our Kitewing hand held sails and take off to the race site for the Coupe de Quebec. We liked it there so much that we stayed an extra night!

I visited Carleton sur mer with my husband and stayed two night in this yurt. The staff was very friendly and the yurt itself was fun. Only complaint I would have is about the noise you can hear of the bar/ restaurant at the shore.

We returned to this resort because of the very positive experience we had a couple of years ago. We were very excited that the fully equipped "Ezeras" chalet was available, This 2 bedroom, 3 bath unit was not only super comfortable but immaculate. (This is not your granny's cottage but an upscale compact cozy chalet.) The exterior hot tub was a welcomed relief after a day biking the petit train du nord an easy 3km away. The staff are super professional and extremely helpful . This resort offers many different chalet configurations complimented by its lovely beach area with lots of watercraft. Awesome location for a family reunion or conference. Reserve now!!! This resort would be perfect for a family or group reunions because of the different chalet configurations. It's proximity to Montreal and the ski hills, bike and hiking trails, restaurants and local spas, is a definite plus.. Looking forward to returning

We have rented the chalet la Pionnière.. REALLY DISAPPOINTING!! Cleanliness left much to be desired. The fire place didn't have a door then, there was a smell of smoke in the chalet. When we were making fires, we had the impression that we were breathing only smoke. The equipment in general is limited for the price. I recommend that you DO NOT rent this chalet, it is not worth the price.

We had a great time at our little chalet. It was very clean and very well-equipped. Penouille Beach, part of the Parks Canada Parc Forillon was just a few minutes by walking from the house and Forillon Park a short drive away. Easy access to groceries in Gaspe. We had all we needed for a wonderful stay.

Enchanting site by a lake amid the hills. Great hiking on the trail that goes around the lake. It takes about 90 minutes and the hills will get the pressure up. The cottages are very clean, no carpets in ours, and the kitchen is fully equiped. Staff is friendly and accommodating. If you need a quiet place to relax, this place is great at the end of summer. For the price of a room in town, it's a bargain. The wi-fi is iffy but always accessible close to the office

This place advertised having air conditioning in the rooms but the hostess apologised for the lack of this stating the AC was ‘broken’ due to some chemical problem. However, there was no evidence of AC units or compressor so I think this was false advertising & we probably would not have booked without AC. The breakfast was great, bountiful & tasty.
