We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Elishaw Farm and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the Northumberland countryside. The owners Taz and Sam have done an amazing job with the cottage we stayed in with a keen eye for detail and comfort. Between the log burner and hot tub, even those chilly evenings are warm and snuggly. Will definitely come back!

If you're searching for a very special, luxury self-catering holiday cottage then look no further... We have a collection of exceptional, luxury holiday cottages, all privately-owned and in the most enviable coast and countryside locations of beautiful Northumberland. Some are situated in the heart of medieval villages and towns like Warkworth and Alnwick - others are located in equally beautiful locations including Rothbury, Bamburgh, Alnmouth, Amble, Beadnell, Seahouses, and in the heart of the Northumberland National Park. Northumberland is one of England's most loved holiday destinations. All of our cottages are hand-picked for inclusion to our exclusive portfolio for their superior quality and ideal locations, making any one of them the perfect base for discovering all of the beaches, islands, castles, historic houses, gardens, towns and villages in beautiful Northumberland. Whether you're looking for a luxury base for a walking holiday, or you want to be within walking distance of a great pub, restaurant or fabulous beach, or you just want to get away from it all in a secluded luxury bolt-hole - 'cosy' or 'contemporary', 'bijou' or 'grand' - we have the perfect cottage for you! Sleeps 2 - 20, pets welcome at most, free wi-fi.
Immaculate, extremely well provided with high quality furnishing, equipment, crockery, everything one could need. Ideally situated on quiet road overlooking dunes and sea, but an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Great base to explore Northumberland coast. We were just 2friends who enjoyed our spacious en-suite bedrooms, but we could see how well this would work for 3 couples or a multi-generational group. Two sitting rooms would allow for separation at times. Sheltered rear garden is quite a suntrap. We had dinner outside on two of the long evenings. Lovely welcome hamper was the finishing touch.

I have just returned from a 2 night stay for a friends hen do. We booked the farmhouse and Auckland cottages. The cottages were both amazing, we spent most of our time in the farmhouse which is absolutely huge and was more than big enough for our party of 14. There are plenty of cups/glasses/crockery/pots and pans etc and the beds were really comfy. The view is absolutely stunning and it was so peaceful. Tony was a fantastic host. Everyone commented on how perfect the cottages were. Can’t wait to go back!

The Hides are fantastic value, self-catering, en-suite, dog-friendly holiday accommodation. Ideally located in the quiet end of the village of Seahouses, they are only a 10-minute walk to the bustling village centre, with numerous Pubs, cafes and restaurants. All 5 rooms have 2 single beds and a pair of bunk beds, with a maximum occupancy of 4. All with their own en-suite toilet and shower. There is a very well equipped shared kitchen including a dishwasher and dining area. In addition, there is an additional store room, equipped as a drying room, with rails, heater and dehumidifier. Outside there are picnic tables, 3 BBQ's and an equipment washdown area for dogs, bikes, diving gear. Seahouses is known as the "Gateway to The Farne Islands". They are numerous charter boats running several trips every day, which can take you to this beautiful Nature Reserve. In the Spring and Summer months, it's teeming with thousands of birds and is home to one of the largest Puffin colonies in the UK.
We were 4 x over 60 year olds travelling , 1st around Scotland for the previous 2 weeks in some very iffy accommodation. Then on 25th May we arrived at the oasis which is The Hides in Seahouses. The rooms were perfect , well equipment , super comfort beds , nice hot showers and a fabulous price. The owners were so nice and helpful. In the private courtyard there is access to a shared laundry room and a very well equip shared kitchen We stayed for 2 nights and would strongly recommend

We stayed in Shepard’s cottage. Excellent accommodation. Large, clean, well equipped, comfy. Gated front garden and back. Great for our dog and toddler. Lovely setting. We would recommend and will definitely be returning! We were great with a lovely bottle of red too, thank you.

5 self-catering cottages created from traditional farm buildings. 5 Star† quality for vacation lets, holiday accommodation and short breaks. Reflecting the stone-built character of the Northumbrian countryside as well as the modern skills and craftsmanship of today. Set on the stunning coastline of dunes and beaches, next to Dunstanburgh Castle, on the amazing Northumberland Coastal Route.
Had a recent warm and comfortable stay in Stable D'or, North Farm. Area is quiet, pool was a huge bonus, clean and booking system seemed fair, the family enjoyed the ducks and the beach, though walk to beach does take at least 20 minutes. My only negative comment is that the fixture and fittings in the cottage were dated, bed linen etc not of the best quality and kitchen mugs were far too small !

Set amidst picturesque Cheviot and Simonside Hills, Garden Cottage (self-catering holiday cottage) is situated on our pedigree South Devon cattle and sheep farm. Walk in grounds which feature medieval Castle and five-arch Victorian viaduct over the valley. The cottage is adjacent to the hamlet of Edlingham and is a perfect location to explore the delights of Northumberland both coastal and inland. Garden Cottage - 2 people (one double bedroom).
Couldn't have been better. Recommended by friends, smashing walks, Alnwick's got an amazing bookshop in the old station. Friendly, welcoming, brilliant. It's the quietness and the opportunity for great surroundings that really make Lumbylaw a wonderful find.
