The legendary birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite, Cyprus has been coveted and fought over by a succession of admirers: Mycenaeans, Egyptians, Assyrians and Persians, to name a few. The former British colony was most recently fought over by the Turks and the Greeks. A result of this turbulent past is an impressive range of cultural treasures, from Crusader castles to the tomb of Mohammed's aunt. The island's geography - plentiful coastline with a mountainous center - ensures plenty of year-round activity.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, House Of The Sophias is situated in Episkopi Pafou. It is a lovingly restored old village house with three guest rooms. Every room at this bed and breakfast is air conditioned and has a flat-screen TV. Some rooms feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. You will find a kettle in the room. For your comfort, you will find bathrobes, free toiletries and a hairdryer. House Of The Sophias features free WiFi . The dining room is fitted with crystalware and silverware. Guests will find a coffee shop within walking distance of the premises providing soft and alcoholic drinks, teas, coffee and snacks. There are several restaurants within a few kilometres from Episkopi, while Paphos provides a variety of nightlife and places to eat at just 12 km away. The nearest airport is Paphos International Airport, 9 km from the property.
So nice to be able to return at the end of each day's sight-seeing to this little oasis which has obviously been restored by the hosts with much love and labour. Lots of lovely little touches like fluffy bathrobes and tea caddies and a wonderful little courtyard garden to sit in and chill out. And a great location to be based for visiting pretty much anywhere west of the Troodos if you have your own transport. Would happily return to stay, hopefully in a Cypriot spring!

Have been there a couple of times. Always an amazing experience. Clean, cosy and traditional. You cannot get any better if you want to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle and just relax and unwind in a peaceful environment.

Booked 2 nights, accommodation was OK but the service was very bad, no burger buns our burgers, cold kebabs. Order takes 1 hour more to come. Food is all ready made foods. Really gutted as really wanted to enjoy my time here. Won't book again

Medium-high holiday rental in Pissouri.
We booked a last minute holiday and we’re lucky enough to stumble across this villa. The villa is a perfect set up for family and friends to stay and the views are stunning. Perry and Adriana were so accommodating and helped with taxis and car hire. They checked in every now again again to ensure we had everything we wanted and could not have done enough for us all. His staff were fantastic, Winston and Prince were brilliant with the children and very friendly. We cannot wait to come back and will be staying here for sure when we do! Thank you to Perry and his fabulous team making our first holiday in a long time AMAZING !!

Very nice place for holiday with families. Clean and comfortable apartments. Good and quiet location. The main attractions are nearby. Real Cyprus hospitality. We stay in this hotel for the second time. The kitchen is equipped with kitchenware. The advantage of this hotel in the mountains is the presence of a swimming pool.

Nicolas and Maria’s Cottages are located in Anogyra village which is in the southern foothills of the Troodos mountains and a really beautiful traditional village. It is a fantastic location - away from the tacky tourist areas but centrally located and equally convenient for coast, countryside or mountains. The cottages used to belong to Nicolas’ grandparents and was the family home for many years, they have been beautifully restored while keeping the original character and now form 8 cottages/rooms which surround and open onto a central courtyard full of plants, flowers and old artefacts, a really charming place. Outside the door of each room is a table and chairs, it was too cold to sit out when we were there but would be a lovely place to sit and enjoy breakfast or an evening meal. (Maybe next time!) The room was huge and very well equipped - although it was all open plan the “bedroom” area was separated from the rest by being on a slightly higher level. The centre part was the “living room” with comfy chairs, dining table and chairs, and the kitchen and bathroom were at the other end. The kitchen area had a kettle, fridge, toaster, hob and plenty of pots/pans, crockery and utensils; it was small and not a lot of work surface so might be a bit restrictive on a long stay but it was OK for cooking simple meals. The double bed was very comfortable, there were wooden shutters on the window to block out the light, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. The wifi was a bit slow but adequate for us. There is free parking in the village car park just round the corner. The owners, Nicolas and Dora, were very friendly and welcoming. They weren’t there when we arrived but had left us the key so we could let ourselves in which worked well, and Dora had left us some home-made Christmas cake which was delicious! We met them the following day and shared a drink and a chat with them and left feeling more like friends than guests. We had three nights here but would love to return for a longer stay. The only downsides for us - nothing major but the cottage was quite cold with no form of heating apart from the air conditioning unit; the lighting was poor with only 3 single hanging bulbs to light a huge room; the soundproofing wasn’t the best as we could quite clearly hear our neighbours coughing and talking in the night. Nothing that would stop us returning though.

Excellent place to stay! The guest house is super clean, completely renovated and it is beautifully furnished. Martin is the perfect host. I was really glad to have met him and stayed at his place. He is very accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He aims to please his guests, whom he treats as old friends. His guesthouse is well situated and close to a supermarket and restaurants, plus the beach is just a few minute's drive away. A perfect getaway if you like a quite, comfortable and unforgettable break. Thank you Martin
