We stayed 8 nights here. The owner, Stanko, was very helpful and welcoming. The beds were great with a shutter so it was very dark. We cooked in the small kitchen several times and made coffee (turkish style equipment only around here) on the stove. There is a shared modern washing machine and dryer to use in the basement. There was space to park our rental car. There was internet access which was mostly quite good. The apartments are located the other side of the main road from the centre of town, but that is no problem: we walked in several times. There are some half completed buildings nearby but that is true for an awful lot of Montenegro and Zabljak. There is a medium size supermarket in Zabljak, a good bakery (under the arch next to Voli supermarket) and plenty of restaurants although service not great in many. Hotel Soa about the best. The scenery is fantastic and there is quite a bit to do if you like the outdoors.

The hotel is wonderfully maintained, the reception and restaurant staff are smiling and ready to help with any questions. We stayed one night, a group of 25 people and all the rooms were spacious clean and well maintained. The price was very fair. The hotel staff (partly) were fluent in English. The rooms were in the back side so they were quiet, far from the road. The breakfast was excellent and included a very wide range of options

We stayed in the 2 bed, sleeps 6 apartment. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 offspring who are young adults. On arrival we were met by a cheery (unusual in itself for Montenegro) young man who showed us in and took our money once we had checked we were happy to stay in the apartment. He owned/worked in a small travel agency where it is possible to book rafting etc. We didn’t see him again but knew where to find him if required and as we left early on our day of departure we simply left the apartment with the key inside. The apartment was basic but comfortable. The beds were sumptuously comfortable. The apartment is on the ground floor and it didn’t really get any sun so was on the cool side, even in August. Top of the advantages of staying at the Vukovic apartments is its central location. Zabljak is a splattering of many buildings in a higgledy piggledy fashion. The splattering spreads wide and far. It would be easy to mistakenly book accommodation that is not within easy walking distance of the ‘centre’ of Zabljak. As for facilities in the Vukovic ground floor apartment – there was only a cold water tap serving the bathroom sink although the bath and the kitchen sink had both hot and cold water and the hot was dangerously hot. The kitchen was basic and appliance even more so. Apart from the cooker, everything seemed clean enough. The fridge had a broken shelf in the door. Overall I would describe the apartments as old fashioned, rustic, cool, and cheap but with a great central location. You may be able to tell from the style of this review that I am not positively gushing or negatively criticising. The reason is that if you are looking a holidaying in Zabljak you are probably not the sort of person that wants a corporate style, all-inclusive 5 star break and so this basic ‘frontier of Europe’ destination’ may tickle your taste buds as something a little different. It certainly offers that but I can imagine some holidaymakers being put off by quite how different this area is, while others would be enthralled by just the same. The walks and views are absolutely brilliant. They are easy, accessible and as unspoilt as you will find in Europe. The roads are surprisingly good. Adhere to constantly changing speed limits. We came across 3 Police speed traps that were strictly enforced. We encountered one local who became fed up following my law-abiding husband (who’d read advice about speed traps) so overtook our car – we then saw him paying his fine to the police! Zabljak is 1,500metres above sea level and was cold on a few days. It was not unusual to see locals wearing puffa jackets and children wearing woolly hats even in August. Be prepared. I would be happy to answer questions on holidaying in Montenegro – we spent 24 hours in Dubrovnik, took a taxi into Montenegro where we spent a week in Dobrota after being ‘bounced’ from our booked apartment in Perast (owner advertises on this website), hired a car in Tivat, drove to Zabljak where we spent 5 days. We then drove back to Dubrovnik where we returned the car at the airport and flew home.

If you don't mind a cold, damp, poorly equipped apartment, and the owners sitting drinking with their friends right outside the bedroom window (even using the windowsill for the empties!) then stay here. Otherwise, avoid at all costs. Oh, and on the third night there was a large crowd of people right outside drinking, shouting and singing until 2am (we were told the next day it was because of a family wedding, but we had no idea at the time, and no apology). We left a day early as we couldn't stand it any longer.

Great place, a really nice home stay. The landlord lady is a lovely person, very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and has a balcony. Shared bathroom and fridge in the hallway. WiFi working excellent. Great location, close to beautiful nature and on a short walking distance to town with stores and restaurants. A good place to stay when exploring Durmitor national park. A little bit tricky to find since the gps position is set on the street and not on the exact house. But there is a small sign on the house and helpful neighbors. A big white house.

The location is great if you are looking to spend the night near Durmitor and you have a car (it is around 20 minutes of drive to Sedlo, the beginning of the climb to the Durmitor top, and it seem like 20-30 minutes of walk to Zabljak center). There is a beautiful garden outside and the owner is very nice, but the rooms are very small. I slept in the bunk bed which took most of the room, and the space between the upper and lower bed is tiny. I banged my head constantly on the upper bad. The bathroom can't be locked which makes a problem when you stay with friends or family.

Apartments Vojinovic are 300m away from Zabljak's center, 4 km away from the Savin Kuk Ski Area. It features a barbecue area and a furnished summer terrace. There are two bigger apartments and one studio apartment in the loft. Free parking, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, fully equipped kitchen and private bathrooms with shower are provided. The local bus stop is only 40m far away.
My friend and I stayed at Zabljak for two days during our visit to Durmitor National park. We didn't reserve accommodation there so it was tricky to find a room at 10 pm when we arrived. Tried some popular hotels and hostels but they were full at the time. So we went knocking on the doors and after a while stumbled at this private house with apartments and rooms to rent. The lady told us that they have one apartment free for the night and the price was reasonable so we booked it. The attic apartment was large for two of us but considering the price and circumstances we stayed there and actually had a good night rest. The apartment could use some new furniture but it was really clean, detached from other guests and very private. Bathroom was clean and functional. I would like to thank the owner for helping us that night and for the fact that she found us a room for the next night just near that one (so we left the car in the same parking space). Very convenient and very nice also. She helped us with advices where to go and what to see and made us the best and abundant breakfast for a reasonable price. Location is perfect - near the town center.

Welcome to Zabljak! Family farm apartments Durmitor offer accommodation in the heart of Durmitor National Park. Fantastic location overlooking Yezerska plateau and Durmitor mountain, at only 250 meters from the main ski resort Savin kuk. The following units are available to our guests: three-bedroom chalet (7 +1), one-bedroom apartment (2 +1) and one-bedroom log cabin (3 +1). The chalet has a fantastic location, with views of the Durmitor massif, and the magnificent peak Savin kuk, which is also the most famous ski resort of Zabljak region. It is 250 meters from the ski slopes, restaurants and a night club. The chalet has three bedrooms, two double and one triple (7 beds) plus a corner sofa bed on the lower floor. Kitchen, living room and dining room are all part of a big room (with a kitchen separated by a bar), a staircase from this room leads to the bedrooms on the upper floor. Bathroom with a shower is also on the lower floor. The house has a terrace - view of the plateau. Wood and stone elements combined, traditional elements, a log burner - all of these make a very pleasant atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped with all needed utensils, electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine etc. One bedroom apartment is for smaller groups of guests and can accommodate up to 3 adults. It is also equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils, and has a sitting and didning area, TV, DVD, satellite, which are all part of all our accommodation units. Bedroom is with a double bed, plus a sofa in the sitting area. Very cozy and comfortable. One bedroom log cabin with one double and one single bed, has been recently renovated. Small, fully equipped kitchen, dining, and sitting area are available. The bedroom is upstairs. There us an enclosed porch, and a garden furniture available for sunny days. Charming and relaxing place to stay and enjoy. Location: all our capacities are at 5 km from the city center, the nearest shop (for now) at 4 km, and a restaurant of homemade traditional food upon order, at a minute walk. Safe parking provided; coming by car recommended. For summer visits, activities, walking and hiking are available literally just outside, and in winter nearby ski slopes are a great advantage. For our guests we organize renting ski equipment and the help of ski instructor. Possible B&B or half board service.
Stayed here 2 nights recently, the location is fantastic and the hostess was extremely friendly and hospitable. We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. The apartments are located within walking distance to the ski slope, or a short drive into the centre of Zabljak. Bikes are available at the apartments, and adventure tours can be arranged. I would definitely recommend family farm apartments.
