Booked a very last minute holiday vacation and this was really the only place we could get online at that time. Proprietor is friendly and helpful. The room — a little apartment — is clean and comfortable. You are staying in the yard of an RV storage facility, so it is the opposite of picturesque. Convenient for parking and driving, but there is nothing luxurious about this side of Puerto Penasco. Would recommend if you really want to come to PP on a budget.

Great views, Pinacate renovated the Common Area it very nice. Great for families Choice of condos or Villas depending on how many guests you have in your group. Good price & walking distance to restaurants. Only complaint is can be nosy at night but after 12:00 is was quiet

The listing advertises a hot tub in the room, and the price definitely reflects that. You can clearly see that these rooms are more expensive than other rooms because they have a private hot tub. However, the hot tub doesn't work. It is pretty obvious after my experience that the staff knows they do not work, but continue to advertise them to make money off of unsuspecting people. I brought the issue to the attention of the staff, and was told someone would come fix it, but that person never showed up. After talking to several other people staying at the resort, it seems that none of the rooms with private jacuzzis actually had one that worked. On top of that, the jacuzzis out by the pool were cold, with the exception of one, which was just luke warm and absolutely packed because the neighboring resort told their guests to go there, because their jacuzzis were also cold. This also meant that covid precautions were not taken. At one point I saw probably 15 guests AND several kids all in the jacuzzi at once. Based on conversations I had with other guests, this is also common. Things break, nothing is perfect all the time, and I understand that completely, but this was not that. This was a facility intentionally deceiving guests to rake in a higher price. I would not recommend anyone spend their money here.

My parents have been coming to this hotel since before I was born and I’ve been coming to this hotel since I could remember. A very nice, safe , clean, family orientation place to stay. You’re walking distance from the beach, best taco spot on your left, elotes across the street and lastly they have off roaming rentals. I’ve been here already 3 times this year and somehow it keeps getting better. Forever will be in love with this hidden gem. Also, when I say clean I mean these ladies know how to clean, no left over sand or 1/2 assed anything. 100000/10 recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Very nice location, stayed in Condo 316 and it was very nice. Kitchen has all you need for your stay and great views. Location is centrally located to bars and restaurants and about a 10 minute drive to the Malecon. Very convenient, will definitely stay there again.

Enjoy your Mexico getaway to Guaymas/San Carlos, and stay in one of our privately owned studio,1, 2 & 3 bedroom condominiums located at Condominios Pilar starting at just $75 -$240 a night, depending on the size of condo. We are located directly on San Francisco Beach in San Carlos. This beach is well-known for seeing many dolphins in the morning. In addition to the beach, El Soldado Estuary, San Pedro Nolasco Island, Canon de Nacapule, Sonora Dolphinarium, and the Port Malecon, are some other places of interest when visiting San Carlos. Our Pilar condos are directly in front of the ocean, and are surrounded by a manicured landscape. This home-by-the-sea has a variety of things to enjoy such as our garden side adult and childrens pool, fishing and clam digging in the adjoining estuary, a fabulous Hacienda Mar de Cortez restaurant with bar, tennis court, and barbeque area, for group gatherings near the pool area. All of our condos have fully equipped kitchens, all linens provided, and are nicely air-conditioned. Depending on location, each condo has a balcony patio, or ground floor patio. For water sports enthusiasts, there are beautiful sand beaches, spectacular diving and snorkeling, kayaking, and offshore fishing. Beach comb for beautiful seashells, take a kayak out to the island, play tennis, visit the San Carlos golf course, try your luck at the new casino in Guaymas ( 5 minutes away), or enjoying a margarita while watching a magnificent sunset.National Geographic Top 10 Ocean Views:Mirador Escénico, San Carlos, MexicoThis scenic lookout, four miles from San Carlos, gives a peerless view over the Gulf of California, dramatic Tetakawi—a volcanic hill jutting out of the sea—and the secluded coves of Playa Piedras Pintas. Mirador is also a world-class vantage point for spotting wildlife, including dolphins, pelicans, and whales.Planning: A good way to explore the Gulf of California (Sea of Cortes) is to rent a kayak or fishing boat in San Carlos. The best sailing and fishing weather occurs from November through May.
The property from outside looks awesome. Staff is kind of helpful. In a beginning we were exited untill we got inside . Let's beggin with bathroom ,it is horrible durty, cracked, no soap,or any kind of shampoo and staff. Living room and kitchen were okey, with very old furniture,no tv. Bedroom had a random bedroom set, even pillow cases were different.Curtense were extra durty,on promises no were to get water,no gift shop, restaurant closes very early. I totally do not recommend this place, the amenities overcharge for the service.

Where to begin...The condo is so outdated, the faucet and fridge leak, the sofas are shedding, the windows don’t open, the television signal (what television signal). On top of all that, majority of the people here are permanent residents who complain about every little thing outsiders do. No pets are allowed, but residents are exempt from this rule. My recommendation DON’T STAY HERE!!!

The complex is run down and the other rentals are currently blasting music so loud the windows are rattling. The pool is empty, the ‘restaurant’ is blown up and unoccupied, and it’s just nasty. The unit is microscopic, dark, and run down and by appearances nobody else has maintained their condos either. It’s just grim, dirty, loud, tired, and grim. Sleep in your car on the beach, you’ll be happier. I’m not going to sleep until the motorcycle gang, drunken college students, and extended extended families disappear some time next week.
