Bordering Australia’s New South Wales' coast, just north of Sydney, sunny-natured Newcastle is anchored in indigenous and convict history. Surfing beaches, hand-cut sea pools, a coastal fort, and contemporary bars skirt the city’s harbor, while museums, artisanal restaurants, and microbreweries lie at its heart.

I recently stayed in this apartment #1, in April for 3 nights. It was the worst mistake I have ever made. The first mistake was the UTTER RUDENESS from Tony the manager who is nothing but an abusive chauvinistic PIG. They had not cleaned the property and we could not get in for 2 HOURS, you are supposed to check in at 2pm. The place was disgusting, floors dirty, food stains still on bench, you could NOT enter the balcony it was disgusting, we wore socks to keep our feet clean. Tony (Manager) told me ( which I have on recording which he agreed to) that if I did not shut my mouth he would cancel my booking and I would have been left with no where to stay. When asked could I have my money back and go somewhere else he said no because you cancelled. I said but I am not cancelling you are threatening to cancel my accomodation. What astonishes me the most is that when asked do you speak to your wife like this he said YES and if she had a mouth like mine ( which I was totally calm, working in customer service myself) said nothing to aggravate him, his reply was if she was like me he would shut her up too. Really un pleasant stay my husband even had to intervene to tell him to be a proper manager and speak to customers with respect. We only stayed because he had our money and he is offsite. Real piece of work that man sorry PIG, we are taking it further with the way he threatened us and promised a return of parking (which I also have in writing) in lieu of not being able to check in and driving around Newcastle for 2 hours until the property was cleaned which did not happen it was disgusting. Don't stay here, there are other cheap accomodation, seriously he should be reported, if I owned these apartments I would not let him property manage them. One day Tony, you will mouth off to the wrong person. Karma will prevail.

These brand new, spacious, two bedroom executive apartments are located in the trendy restaurant and shopping district of Hamilton. Within walking distance to restaurants and shops, these fully self-catering apartments are best described as your home away from home. These apartments come with their own lock-up garage, fully equipped kitchens, heated bathroom floors, air conditioned living areas, laundry facilities, and all amenities you will need to relax or entertain.
It’s always a relief to open the door of accommodation you’ve booked online and find that it meets your expectations. We booked a two bedroom ensuite apartment and it was very nice - clean, modern and comfortable. It's in a very quiet residential street with not much close by in the way of restaurants or shops - which is fine if you have a car and are just looking for a place to stay that's comfortable and good value (parking was included in the price - another bonus. Some hotels wanted $30+ a night).

Our booking was made looking for a comfortable place with air-conditioning as it was in summer. On top of that, we assumed we'd get a clean apartment. We were wrong. The apartment was hot and the air-con didn't work (it hadn't worked in ages, going by the state of corrosion through the system). The kitchen was grotty, cups unwashed, cockroaches running everywhere, and the bathroom door didn't close. To make it worse, there were dirty and wet towels left in cupboards which stank. To make things even worse again, we called the manager, and very quickly the manager started telling at us, told us to put up with it, and hung up. We got no sleep, and couldn't leave fast enough. I am in the process of suing the company. This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed in.

Booked 3 bedroom unit directly through hotel. Dirty, unit in state of disrepair, one bathroom shower leaked, another mould all over ceiling. Locks broken, dishwasher not working, carpet stained & ripped. Other family members stayed on different level booked through Airbnb and better quality unit & furnishings.NOT WORTH THE MONEY, management wasn’t really interested in complaint.. Carpark spaces very tight!! Stay elsewhere if possible!!!

Where do I start? This place was awful! Wish I had read the other reviews before staying. - location is great - floors were wet but disgustingly dirty and sandy throughout - shower drain blocked - lock to bathroom broken and left unfixed (see pic) and dangerous - generally filthy - no lid on bin - no mattress protectors - dishwasher didn’t work - milk 6 months out of date As mentioned by others only one key to get into apartment building and garage for three bedroom unit. Newcastle Executive Apartments should be ashamed of themselves. They were aware of these issues and didn’t even apologise when I told them about all the issues. They were rude and unhelpful throughout checkin and our stay. Other than size of apartment and location I have nothing positive to say.

Do not be fooled by the photos that they use to advertise their properties. The photos were definitely not accurate. We arrived to find a derelict premises, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt in the hopes that the inside of the apartment was what was advertised - it was not. We arrived at the door to the apartment to find a disgusting dirty nappy hanging from the tree next to the door. Broken plastic toys, rubbish and waste in the gardens and around the patio area. Upon entering, we were greeted with the strong overwhelming smell of chemicals and air freshener. The walls were dirty and stained, the floors were so sticky our shoes stuck to them - no way were any of us taking our shoes off! When checking the rooms we found disgustingly stained bed linen and pillows, beds that may as well have been concrete blocks for how comfortable they were. No cupboard doors, a dirty kitchen and questionable bathrooms. There was no way in hell I was allowing my children to step foot in there let alone sleep in this pit. When we called to complain, my husband was immediately put on hold and left there. We had to hang up and call back to get someone to speak to us. Their initial suggestion was to send someone around to tidy a bit more and offer us a small percentage discount off of our stay. We refused and demanded a refund because there was no way in hell that a quick tidy up could save this situation. 0 out of 5 stars, 100% would not recommend to anyone. Absolutely disgusting.

My family stayed the first week in January 2022 for four nights. On the 3rd afternoon we were informed there was a power outage. With no lighting or air conditioning this made for a very unpleasant night with 2 children. The next day they could not guarantee that the power would be back on so we checked into another hotel. Later that afternoon we recieved another text from the Honeysuckle stating that the power would not be on for another night which justified our decision to find another hotel. The following week we contacted the manager seeking a refund for the 2 nights when the power was out as the room was 'not fit for purpose' to be told 'it's not my problem, take it up with the building owner'. We did and were informed that power outages were covered by the hotel's insurance. I took this back to the hotel multiple times with no reply. We escalated the situation with NSW Fair Trading but because Honeysuckle would not respond to the issues raised the case has been closed unless we proceed with private legal representation.

the apartment was dreadful! Noisy in front bedrooms and needs sound proofing as they have in the lounge. Sofas old and uncomfortable. The TV remote needed batteries which we had to purchase!! The twin beds were like sleeping on rocks – quite literally, so I wouldn’t offer for those beds to be put together as a king bed!! The tap in the ensuite had continual running water (what a waste!!) and the main bathroom – cold water tap could not be turned on. Cleaning teeth over laundry tub not the best solution!! Thank goodness we had good weather!

Cheap stay with decent clean bed; shared bathroom and communal kitchen. The window sashes in the room had been cut so wouldn't open and the Venetian blind was broken and dirty. There were no hangers for clothes and shelf unit was dusty and damaged. The kitchen had no crockery or cutlery or cooking utensils so had to purchase our own. The window plinth had broken away from the glass and was in danger of dislodging. The tap constantly dripped and cockroaches were everywhere. Also the bags dirty linen were stored on the floor in the corner. The bathrooms weren't serviced daily resulting in no toilet paper for 24 hours. There is free secure off street parking although someone kept deliberately jamming the electronic gate in the open position. The management is off site so the behaviour and number of permanent residents isn't monitored. The whole place needs a good clean!
