There is rich and beautiful history within Lagos’ 14th century walls, from its fortress to picturesque churches like Medieval São João Hermitage and the 17th-century São Sebastião. But that’s all appetizer. People come here for a main-course coastal buffet featuring more than a half-dozen beautiful beaches. Quiet sandy coves are sandwiched between dramatic cliffs. The sandy 2.5-mile stretch of Meia Praia caters to every water sport imaginable. And when you’ve had your fill, you can digest your day with some of the best nightlife in the Algarve region.

The Aparthotel Pinhão is a complex of several apartments for holidays. It has a fantastic location and is very central, has a friendly atmosphere and some apartments have the most beautiful sea views of Lagos. We are next to Pinhão Beach.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Their recommendations of where to eat and what to see were very good and we were happy we took their advice. The location is very good and close to everything. The only reason for the 4 star is that there was some kind of tile work being done in the evening and the hammering and chiseling was loud. Perhaps they could have done this during the day when most people are out. Also, there is some kind of motorcycle club in the area. They were very respectful when it came to the volume of their music but not so much with the revving of their engines at 2am. If we didn't have to get up extremely early for our flight this might not have been an issue.

Stayed for three nights and our every request was met! One day we had to go surfing so we would miss the breakfast times, so they packed our breakfast! The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and it was a great way to start the day. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need and seem to have been recently refurbished. They got cleaned every day and the place was spotless! Just a 2 min walk from the centre, would definitely recommend, very happy with our stay

Have to say wasn't expecting much from staying here but we were pleasantly surprised .It had everything we needed plus more .Girls staying together for a wedding . Toiletries, Hairdryer, Iron , bottle of wine ! ! For what we paid we had more than others we know staying in much more expensive hotels .Pool was clean & peaceful , lovely & relaxing .Its family run & I think they manage the apartments .The young guy on reception was so helpful & nothing was to much trouble .Would happily stay here again although I do agree there is no supermarket near but the little train that goes around Lagos stops near so you can catch that to go to & fro & it's 3.50 Euros .

I had a great experience staying at Foz da Ria. From the very moment I made a reservation, communication went on very smoothly, and they were very mindful of my needs and were keen to make suggestions and help. The whole resort and apartment were great, clean and comfortable. The sauna, jacuzzi and gym were not working, due to the COVID-19 situation, which seems perfectly reasonable and sensible at this time. It would be nice to know that in advance, though. The view from the apartments is beautiful, with a great sunrise and sunset experience. The balconies have tables and really nice chairs to sit or lie down and relax. Kitchen was fully equipped, so you can use it to cook, should you wish to do so. There's enough parking space for your car. Foz da Ria is isolated, so keep in mind you need a car. Lagos is not too far, in case you need to shop, go for a walk or out for a meal. There's also Meia-Praia near by, for the beach experience. This is the perfect place to relax, be away from the hustle of the city and just wind down. I will most likely be coming back on another occasion and I definitely recommend it.
