The coastal village of Kamari features the beaches and ruins that are typical of Greek islands, but also boasts unusual attractions like an open-air cinema. Stray from the black pebble shores and head up to the site of Ancient Thira, where the stone remains of houses, markets, baths and temples will impress you with their size and structure. Sip local vintages at the Gaia Winery, then relax at an outdoor café as you watch the sun sleepily drop below the horizon, washing the sky with warm Aegean light.

I visited Santorini for the first time along with my husband and the stay could not have been any better, than staying here at Nissia apartments. We reached the hotel during the evening and were received with a warm welcome from Kiki. We were given a map of Santorini and really nice and detailed explanation by Kiki about Kamari and how to move around the place. We had booked a studio apartment. Kiki showed us to our room, which was spacious, comfortable and super clean. As a person having back problems, the first thing I check is the bed, which was super comfy and very ergonomic. The breakfast served is very lavish, hearty and you get a lot of options to choose from. The next morning, Christina, one of Nissia's staff, gave us an overview of how we could plan the trip across the island. The breakfast is provided in a beautiful shack, having nice cushioned chairs with a sea facing view. I enjoyed gazing at the beach while sipping on some delicious fresh fruit juices and munching on the soft crepes. The hotel is on the promenade and close to a lot of restaurants and supermarket. Also walking distance from the bus stop. So location is just perfect. Unfortunately, I had a twist in my ankle while visiting the old port in fira, so I was not able to climb the stairs to go back to the hotel room. Christina promptly moved me to one of the sea facing suites on the ground floor! I was provided breakfast near the pool side by a really pleasant and enthusiastic staff. Also the staff took real good care of me snd offered me ice pack and an extra blanket. There are very few hotels in the my experience who are so caring, like your own family! So even though we were only able to visit a few places in Santorini, we really enjoyed our stay just chilling at the pool side with our drinks, enjoying the sun and gazing into the ocean. One can also order some light lunches/snacks from the bar near the pool side which are really tasty and worth it. Thank you Nissia apartments for taking such good care of us!

Makris Apartments are situated in Kamari village on the island of Santorini, just 5 metres from the beach. The hotel sits in a lovely position right next to the beautiful beach of Kamari. The view of the pebbled black beach of Kamari stretch out before your eyes.
??????????First time to Santorini, and nothing but praise for the Makris Beach Hotel. From arrival to departure, nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff. Angelika (I think that’s how you spell her name) was very helpful, and again nothing was ever to much trouble. The hotel is right on the sea front in Kamari, we were lucky enough to have one of their 1 bedroom suites with large balcony with hot tub, and fantastic sea views. Would highly recommend this hotel, and if we ever return will book to stay here again. ??????????

The ideal location to enjoy your swim because we are a few meters from the sea.We provide fully furnished apartments with air conditioning, kitchen, fridge,TV, in a very beautiful area that combines sea and mountain.Studios are located in one of the best areas of Kamari, sheltered from the nearby mountain and just 30 meters from the beach. The location is ideal for a relaxing holiday by the sea, in the center of one of the most popular tourist resorts of the island.
Have just visited the island of santorini for the 3rd time since 2014 . And each time I have stayed at zacharakis studios and the owner Villy has become a very dear friend. The location to the beach and restaurants, shops is just perfect .the apartments are spotlessly clean and the staff albeit sometimes lost in translation. Are very friendly and welcoming. I would have no hesitation in reccommending it to anyone and everyone that knows I am going there. When people say its on their bucket list I tell them I doesn't have to be,and tell them to stay at zacharakis studios.

I was at this wonderful, beautifully furnished, very bright-mooded hotel with my husband last August. The boss, Katerina, and all members of the staff were so kind, they pay special attention to hygiene and abide to all the regulations related to COVID-19. We reserved a room at the seaside for 12 days, had a wonderful view and could fall asleep listening to the murmur of the sea each night. The breakfast was excellent, and we had dinner, too, on several occasions. They work with excellent ingredients, and every food is so delicious. ? We are planning to visit Santorini this year too, as we have fallen in love with the place!

Loved my 3 night stay at this gorgeous little place right across from the beach. The rooms are spacious and gorgeously decorated in lovely colour themes. Loved the decor and attention to detail along with the complimentary bottle of wine in the room, and the breakfast supplies, replenished daily. Awesome restaurants on the doorstep and the beach just across the lane. Loved Kamari and this gorgeous boutique hotel - highly recommend and hope to return.

Time to create beautiful memories of a lifetime…
We have just returned from Joanna Villas. We scoured booking.com for weeks before we settled on JV. We always read the reviews and these were already encouraging but as soon as we arrived we were not disappointed. Our 2 bedroom apartment was perfect and the addition of a washing machine for a 12 night stay was a bonus. The room was cleaned daily, there was water in the room ready for us, there is Netflix, and a balcony perfect for drying clothes and having an evening Mythos! The hotel is so close to the main bars and restaurants. We hired a car and it was literally a stone's throw to pick up and drop off. Kamari has everything you need. The one reason why this hotel is so so good is Vangelis, the owner. He says that all good things come from hard work. He has single handedly made this into a little corner of paradise. The rooms are so clean, so trendy and he is so proud of them all. The breakfast is perfect, everything you need and it is always so fresh. Unlike 5* hotels where guests are just a number, Vangelis speaks to you all. He is genuinely interested in where you come from, what you do. We were genuinely sad to leave last week. We have a tradition of never going back to the same place twice. The world has so many other opportunities but for the first time in 15 years of family holidays, we will be going back very soon. If you want to spend £s on 4/5* luxury and yes Oia is out of this world, that is fine, but you won't get a better service / hotel stay in all of Greece.

Just returned from Kalya Suites and had the best few days before we headed to Firostefani. Have stayed in six or seven places in Santorini over the past couple of years and pound for pound, Kalya was the best I have stayed. Super relaxing family-like atmosphere. The rooms were spotless, perfectly sized and the beds super comfy; the pool was as perfect as it looks in the pics and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Pantelis behind the bar is so personable, as was Savvas who made one of the best Old Fashioned we’ve had. The women (sorry i didn’t catch their names) were incredibly friendly too and accommodating. Also, shout out to the cleaning staff who was always on it! Your chosen breakfast to order on your balcony was brilliant and the cocktails and drinks, were amazing and very reasonably priced. Even though we had the view of Caldera in Firostefani, we would have preferred to have stayed the whole week in Kalya which says a lot. Much more relaxing and personable stay. I can imagine they get a lot of repeat stayers as we shall be when we return; hopefully later in the year or 2023. Thanks again, Chris and Han

Everything was as advertised and just perfect. It was in a quiet lane yet close to the beach and many wonderful restaurants. The staff were super kind and our room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, simple and well presented. Spotlessly clean, pool was lovely and they provided pool towels for guests. Nothing negative to say and will definitely recommend this hotel!
